Experience with scalpers?

I've been sitting in front of my computer for days in hope of nabbing on of these "additional tickets to be released" with no luck to this point. I've got the option of Stubhub, but I'd rather not spend that much if I can avoid it, particularly for standing room only.

I'm thinking about driving up from Richmond, VA tomorrow and seek out a scalper. I've never done that before and wanted to see if anyone could give me an idea of what to expect for a playoff ticket cost wise.

This is the only game I've attended to which I no longer have the ticket.

I've searched ebay, messaged ebayers selling old tickets/unused season tickets/etc, posted on baseball memorabilia forums, contacted the Yankees directly, emailed ticket brokers and just scoured the internet ad nauseum. So far, I've found that there is a much larger crowd of people interested in tickets than I ever would have thought, but still...nothing.

This is driving me up a wall. If anyone just happens to have this ticket (yeah right), had season tickets back then, knows someone who did, knows someone who may be able to offer me any assistance in getting my hands on this it would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, I'd be more than happy to pay for it...

I"m about to call Denny Neagle to see if he has it hanging on his wall to commemorate his CG victory.

2009 Season DVD

2009 Season DVD

Thanks to Yankee Frankee's article I've realized I really want a DVD documenting at least the 2009 playoffs. Not full games or some box set of 8 dvds for $75, just a well put together condensed version on a single disc. The link I'll post below this in a response specifcally covers games from the DS, CS and WS and it seems really cool, but the the link above says it covers from the first pitch of spring training to the tickertape parade and it would also be fun to see the entire season brought together like that but I'm sure if it does that much it doesn't go quite as in depth with the post-season as I'd like. (that was the longest sentence ever)

Wanted to see if anyone owned/had watched either of them or any others they enjoyed and seemed to match what i'm looking for. Let me know!

I turn 27 this year, have never left the east coast and decided I'm fed up. I'm tired of squeezing the fun out of life by being ultra concerned with money bs and am going to start doing what I want to do more often. Obviously this starts with baseball...

As it stands now I've been to the following parks:

Yankee Stadium

Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Citizen's Bank

RFK

I've purchased tickets to see ATL@WAS, NYM@PHI X2, NYY@SEA, TOR@CIN, NYY@CHC, PIT@CLE, BAL@PIT, BOS@PHI so far and I"m prettttyyy sure my girlfriend is planning a trip to see the Yankees and Mets at home for my birthday, so that would add:

Nationals Park

Safeco Field

Great American Ballpark

Wrigley Field

Progressive Field

PNC Park

Possibly Yankee Stadium (II) and Citi Field

That would bring me to at least 6 and hopefully 8+ new ones this year. I'm super stoked on this 2011, wanted to share it with people who I know could appreciate it and was also really curious to see where everyone else has been...also include your age unless you've got some weird problem with that so I know just how jealous I should be.
