Autographed Hurdle Jersey on Wheldon Memorial Auction
For those of you Pirate fans who are also Indy Car fans it appears that either the Pirates or Hurdle himself have donated to the Dan Wheldon Memorial Auction.
Glad to see them getting involved in this auction. The auction benefits a trust fund for the children of Dan Wheldon who died in the IZOD Indy Car Championship Race in Las Vegas last month. Wheldon was a two time winner of the Indianapolis 500.

Grabow Soon to Go?
According to SI, the Pirates and the Cubs are in deep discussions regarding John Grabow and "another pitcher may also go to chicago."

I gotta think that would be Tom Gorzelanny right? Not Matt Capps or Evan Meek?
The Cubs seem to prefer Grabow over Joe Beimel according to Ken Rosenthal. Do the Cubs have anyone of note really? Their system is pretty thin if I recall and I doubt they would part with anyone on the 25 man roster.
Jack Wilson is now a Mariner...
Jack Wilson has been traded to the Seattle Mariners this afternoon.
No word yet on return(s) but DK is reporting that the trade has been made...More details to come.

MLB Trade Rumors reports the Pirates get Jeff Clement

Talk of other Seattle minor leaguers involved with talk of Zach Duke as well? SHould be an interesting afternoon.
Pirates Sign 5th Round Pick Nathan Baker
Nathan Baker from Mississippi is in the fold. Terms haven't yet been released.
Another left handed arm for the system...no indication yet on where he will begin his career but I would suspect State College with a possible move to West Virginia?
From Wilbur's indispensible site:
Still awaiting word on the bigger names:
Cain
Von Rosenberg
Den Dekker
Dodson
Inman
[Note by Charlie: Baker wasn't one of the Pirates' high-profile late-round picks, but it's still nice to have their fifth-rounder in the organization. The Bucs have now signed five of their first six picks.]
Everything is On Sale...
According to Yahoo!Sports, the next 9 days could see ALOT of changes
