Wow, that looks abosolutely SICK! The old one was way too drab and boring. I never understood why the old one had so much yellow in it either. But this is just awesome, I like the "darkness" of it. They should have some exclusive content on it now, so it will actually be worth visiting (they usually simply regurgitate Associated Press stories). And they partnered with Yahoo to provide fantasy hockey, so no more crappy NHL.com fantasy hockey (which a lot of people actually suffered through, and paid for, tsk tsk). And that new, free "gamecenter" feature should be cool too. About time the NHL added something like that, all the other major leagues' websites have it. It's now by far the best sports league website imo.

btw, why are we getting outshot 31-14 by the Kings? I know it's preseason, but damn...

Link is in the headline. The article (which, strangely, I can only find on Yahoo sports...) is mostly about Joe Sakic skipping some fitness tests (fine with me), but a bit further down we have some clarification about the goalie situation. Granato basically says that Budaj's our man, and that he deserves it. I hope now people will stop saying that we have a "tandem" or that Budaj and Raycroft will "split time" or "fight for time". Raycroft sucks, and besides, after the last couple of years of goaltending in Colorado, I think I'm gonna throw up if I ever hear the word "tandem" again...

Well, finally some certainty. Liles gets a 4 year deal. Foote gets a 2 year deal. I'm happy about this. Our defense would be slower than those Comcast turtles if Liles left. And could perhaps re-signing Foote make Sakic want to come back more?
