I was born in Chicago, moved to Ohio, and landed in Denver in the 3rd grade, back in 1992. I remember getting to go to a few games here and there with family and friends, learning who Elway, Sharpe, McAffrey, Smith, Davis, and all the other players were, and what football meant to Denver. There was a whole lot of spirit, and that was before we'd ever even won a Superbowl! And then of course I remember '97 and '98. Best part about it was I got the day off from school (once in 7th grade, and then again in 8th) to go to the parade with friends. Two of my favorite memories! (Okay the school didn't really give us the day off but we went anyways..Clearly our parents sanctioned it since we weren't driving age ;) )
And the rest, as they say, is history. And folks, since then, there's just been no stopping my passion for Broncos football. What can I say? I like to see 'em win.
