Early Weekend NON PAYTON Thread
Purpose of this thread? To get our minds off of Peyton right now. It's time to relax and let the minds cool down. Fun conversations? I think so. Tonight, Music City Miracles will come together to relish in relaxation without Peyton mother-trucking Manning. Anyone wanna play any games? Words with Friends or Draw Something? GIF war? Hell, this is MCM- we do whatever we want to freaking do!!! According to Jommy, tomorrow will be a fun day. I am looking forward to MCM doing what it does best- being extremely absurd. let's go MCM. let's use this thread to make it though another night. and as i type more loaded words, they are simply to increase the stupid word count.

Kgcruecial's Week in Review (2/11/12)
Greetings, MCM. This week has been a little dull, so this will be a bit of a flop of a post, like last week's. Just follow me through the jump for what will possibly be some amazing discussion points.
Kgcruecial's Week in Review (2/4/12)
via i.cdn.turner.com
Hey, guys, it's MikeGriffFan27 Kgcruecial. I am going to start writing an article every week with my two cents on events from the week. I figure this will be a fun thing for me to do, especially since it is the offseason. I'm going to hit my five topics of discussion. So, without further-ado, here I go.

Black Monday Open Thread
It's Black Monday, and I am wanting to discuss all the coaches being fired today. Fortunately, we actually do not have to sit on the edge of our seats to wait and see if we make the move this year. But Steve Spag has just been fired from the Rams. So there is a likely place for the man above these words. However, I do not expect the Chiefs to fire their interim head coach. This will most likely be a very interesting day with a few coaching cuts. Everyone discuss here...

Player Outlook: Colin McCarthy
via cmsimg.dnj.com
A few months ago I started created a fanpost of a hopeful series of fanposts of biographies/outlooks of some of our beloved Titans. However, I got sick and went to the hospital the next week, preventing me from continuing which made me lazy and not continue. So, now, I decided I would try to reopen this series with an outlook of our new favorite player at MCM: Colin "The Man" McCarthy. Follow me after the jump!

Why It's Still Good To Be A Titans Fan: Player Edition
That gold in his mouth translates everything he says into: "asjfhauoserhfd MONEY hasfwheuawegfho 2,000"
via sportscasm.com
Once again, I have nothing better to do this morning, and DReese has inspired me to write a story. Our team still has a lot of upside to our players... and downside. Thus, I am going to take a look at upsides and downsides to many of our players.
This is meant to increase my popularity on here, and be fun, so no one needs to take offense by this...
Chris Johnson:
Upside: CJ2K anyone? And his dreads are pretty sick
Downside: We are gonna have to spend some good cap to keep him. Tennessee Titans 2011 Blood drive for moneyz.

Titans’ Damian Williams waiting for his shot
I've never read anything that he has had to say outside of Twitter. So this is good to read, I guess
Finnegan Says He’s Not Enjoying the Lockout
I think this is very interesting. I like what I am hearing Finny say and what he is trying to do. Maybe we will see Finny with captain logo on his jersey this season... But I want to see him play like a leader too.
Player Outlook: Michael Griffin
via i.cdn.turner.com
The lockout is officially murder. We have all been left with too much unnecessarily unoccupied time. My social life has changed and I don’t have nearly the free time I used to have, thanks to my girlfriend. But if I did not have her, I would be dying due to the lack of football: news, training camps, etc. This post is sort of a result of DReese’s great story from last night. He has inspired me to become a more active blogger. So, without further ado, I’ll explain this post after the jump.
Bengals Do Not Plan on Trading Palmer

Mike brown has no plans to trade palmer

It really does not make much sense to me that the Bengals are not planning on trading Palmer. They could get a very good deal for him. With some team possibly offering a first round pick for Kolb, that would raise the stock of Palmer because it will make him the best QB left on the market, if he was not considered so already. I am flabergasted by this.
Picture Caption of the week?
What ever happened to the picture of the week? I remember back before I was a member of this site, and I just followed the Titans on Twitter, it would tweet MCM's pic of the week FanShot and you all would make your own captions. That was primarily the reason I joined MCM because I was LOLing at the hilarious comments. So, what happened to it? Any chance of a return, Jimmy? I think it would definitely boost our moral as site so we can have something else to laugh at.

Numbers and Draft Picks
Fighting Depression
Hey guys. Recently I have joined Pride of Detroit for Lions fans. Their moral has really risen because of this last season. These guys are true fans, much like our selves. It's amazing what they have gone through as fans over the past several seasons and still stayed loyal. I am amazed. I posed the question in a fan post asking how they've done it. The discussion is starting as we speak. I thought maybe some of the Titans fans here would like to read and learn from them about what it is like to fight depression in the NFL. Below (as a comment) is the link to fan post that I have made. We need to to keep our heads up and hope for the best.
Fighting Depression
Haynesworthless
Well, I have Michigan blood. Therefore, I am also a Lions fan. So, today I decided to join SB Nation's blog for the North's worst team, Pride Of Detroit. I cannot post until my membership is verified. But I was browsing the website (which is NO WHERE as nice as wonderful MCM), and I noticed a certain fanpost. Apparently, Ndamukong Suh is pushing the front office to bring in the sack of junk that went to Washington D.C. last year. They are split 55/45 in favor of not getting the fat lard. However, they have brought up that he will be going back to good ol' Schwartz and his buddy Kyle Vanden Bosch. i am dying to comment and start contributing to this website. I want to tell them how we feel about the 100-million dollar man. So, this is my question, in the poll attached.
Quick Question
Why in the freakin' world did we get Yamon Figurs? From my understandings, he is an amazing kick returner, but only that. Well, we don't need a returner...at all. We have a PRO BOWL returner. Any ideas?

inserted words to make the fan post longer. Still need more characters... Ugh.... And I still needed 12 more... Good. That's enough... Or not... So much for a "Quick" question...
Nnamdi Asomugha
KnightOfNi222 posted earlier this week that Champ Bailey would be most likely leaving the Broncos this offseason, and he would be a good option for us. Well, we have another option. Adam Schefter has reported that because Oakland's star Nnamdi Asomugha was far from reaching his incentives, he has a void in his contract and cannot be franchise tagged. Therefore, he will be a freee agent this offseason. Here is another option for us. He will be a great replacement for a slacking Finnegan (who I am still a fan of. But we need a corner that will make plays and win games). What do you all think about this?
MCM Fantasy League
Right now I am creating a league for my friends and me for the Playoff Challenge on NFL.com. After I created it and was inviting a friend, I had an idea (which the title implies). What if Music City Miracles had a fantasy league next season for all of us? I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but I think it could be really fun. Is this a possibility for next season, Jimmy?

Titans Christmas Wishlist
It's Christmas time- the time of giving AND receiving. Besides giving the ball to CJ and Moss receving it, I have a few wishes myself. Let's say that for Christmas this year, the Titans could be given FIVE new things. These things can be ANY new player, ANY new coach, a draft pick, or maybe even a new owner. What would you like for us to receive this year? My wishes after the jump.
ATV needs a Wiki pic
Hey, MCM Family. We have an issue. ATV has no picture on Wikipedia. Someone needs to put a picture of him in a Titans jersey (maybe picking off Romo). I would do it, but my iPod won't do it. I think it'd be really cool if the MCM Family managed his Wikipedia. Will someone add this picture? Btw, who says ATV for AFC and NFL Defensive Rookie if the Year? (Stupid question, I know. Just needed more characters. Lol)
The Ravens
I was reading Jimmy's 53-man roster prediction. Someone mentioned that if we don't take Myron Rolle, he will end up at Baltimore. This wouldn't be surprising if he ends up like Chris Carr and Air McNair. Along with the Ravens taking our players, they also love to kill our playoff runs. So, I assume it's safe to say, they are our rivals. Maybe more of rivals than our divisional rivals. So, on a scale of 1-10, how much of a rival are the Ravens to the Titans?
