I just figured I would start the discussion about which Rangers we felt qualified to win (or at least be nominated for) NHL Awards. They just recently announced the Calder Memorial Trophy finalists. I personally feel we have a few guys (Stepan, Sauer, & McDonagh) that could have been in the discussion but the nominees they picked are worthy.

Couture, Skinner & Grabner. Skinner will most likely run away with it anyway.

Wednesday, April 27 Frank J. Selke Trophy (top defensive forward)

Thursday, April 28 Hart Memorial Trophy (MVP)

Friday, April 29 Jack Adams Award (Coach of the Year)

Monday, May 2 NHL Foundation Player Award (contributions to charitable causes)

I think Stevey Y has GM of the year locked up.

I could see Torts as a finalist for Jack Adams, Staal getting honorable mention for the Norris & Hank as a finalist for Vezina.  Although I think Hank will end up getting edged out by Thomas (clear winner IMO), Luongo & Rinne.

So, what say you? Am I totally off base or dead on?
