The biggest haul of this free agent class was NA & he's a 30 y/o cb & we signed him to a 5yr deal right? Ok so what makes Asante's 30 years on this planet so much worse ...? NA & asante or top 5 cb's in this league & DRC is in the top 10 who may move up this yr or next. So what could we get for a 25 y/o athletic freak possible perenial pro-bowler ?  Maybe a decent LB (need) or RT (huge need) plus a second round pick & possibly a first (doesnt hurt to ask).  So in fact for Kolb we would of got possibly a 1st & 2nd & pro bowl LB or RT ! who would say thats a bad deal ?  Anyways i think the Eagles didnt think we were gonna get NA so went and got DRC in the deal... I think if we knew we were getn NA we might of went in a different direction.  I personally perfer Asante opposite NA over DRC... I would love to keep all 3 but if we did trade one i think it should be DRC.  Look i know its not gonna happen but its just a thought.

Today probowl left guard Robert Galloway left the raiders to pursue free agency.  He should come to the eagles for about 7 mill a yr , now we can draft two more Oline man in the draft(later) and sure up our biggest weakness.  We might also get nnmadi awesomeness to sign or draft one of the two generational CB's in the draft after we move up....pick up haynesworth and babin and we will be all in for this year....with a 3yr window of superbowl level play as long as thhe most dangerous qb in history is taking snaps and only loses about 3 steps (which would put him at a 4.45 prolly) I cant wait to be in Indy in 2011-2012 !

I cant be the only one thinking this am I ?  If we do get Washburn wouldnt Albert Haynesworth be a wonderful addition?  Thats if AL comes over and is the old Haynesworth under Washburn.  Is anyone else thinking this would be the greatest move we could make this offseason (outside nnamdi, but damn close)?  Getting Fat AL would give trent cole a woody and free up Stu and hopefully Cheaney for free runs at the QB while at the same time putting pressure on the QB which would help our secondary at the same time (eventhough i know we must improve there too) Only difference between this and Nnamdi is that this will happen if we decide we want him.  Haynesworth could be had for maybe a 5th rounder but im sure the skins might be against it bcuz   a) to get back at Al because he would be happy about going to play for washburn and  b.) they would see Albert play against them twice a year maybe in beast mode.  Plus Haynesworth contract is very managable right now he is due 5.4 million in 2011 and 6.7million + 500K in 2012 before his contract gets terminated in 2013 (he's due 28.5 million that year!)  I'm saying if the skins are stubburn about trading him since they paid him like $40 in a year we could give them a 3rd round pick and yes ...maybe even a 2nd to get it done , that is a big gamble ....a very big gamble , but thats normally what it is when your "all in" .  We should be challanging for a superbowl right ? Time to swing for the fences , plus it might help bring Nnamdi in too , who knows ? but a defense with Haynesworth and Asante looks real good to prolly the 2nd best cover corner in history ? My god ! It would of been cool for his agent to have put in a cluase were Vick cant be franchised if he made the Pro bowl or something like that.  Reason being becuase Im 100% sure Vick would sign the largest contract in history of football for the second time in his career.  Look at the perfect storm for the perfect payday, Vick is the only player in the NFL that would give an entire franchise/ city hope and unmatched excitement.  What would put more butts in seats , signing Brady to your team ? MAnning ? Adrian Peterson ?  nope.  Mike Vick is the only player in the NFL and maybe NFL history that can sell out stadiums by himself with possibly barry sanders.  Im talking about just one man, not a team like the great 49ers ,cowboys etc.  Put vick on the 49ers they sell out, titans anyone  outside of the Jags and Bills. 

OK so an owner has that , he knows that one player can increase thier bottom line like no one else.  Now second look at who would be bidding on him....between Al Davis and Schnieder in DC.  AL would pay any price and be justified and Danny boy gave Haynesworth $100 mil with $40 mill gaurntd.  with like $31million in the first 13 months ? Shout he gave deangelo hall 9yrs /54million the same week ! and if all wants you Al will get you... Mike Vick alone would increase the raiders franchise by a few hundred million.  Basically right now its like Vick would be lebron James before the Decision with no salary structure.  Im guessing Vick would get about a 4yr/$100 million to 6yr/140 million look at Carson Palmer hes getting 6yrs/120 million !  It would be fun to see, maybe a contract reaching $200 million over 9 yrs ...it would be a great storyline and something to watch this offseason.

what is going on in skins land ? Mcnabb signed a 5yr ext with 40mill gaurunteed.? Wow wasn't expecting that one before tonights game . If not is he at least the best offensive player in the league ? If not that is Vick the top Qb in the league right now ? It might sound crazy to some of you but im taking Vick over any qb right now, I would take him over Brady, Manning,rivers , etc... Think about it , if you had a terrible O-line and terrible wide rcvrs , lets say your the Redskins, would manning / brady be elite in that situation ? I doubt it, but i think Vick would be in any situation, he can make up for so many glaring holes on any offense and he's done that since he's been in the league.  In my lifetime (im 30) i can tell my kids and grandkids I saw mike vick and barry sanders play. Those are the only 2 players that could win games on thier own on terrible to average teams, I might put Dan Marino in that convo too but I caught him late in his career. 

Now with that being said Vick could be the most sought after free agent since Reggie White....this could be the Decision 2011...lol. There are several teams that are sub par that would be upgraded to possible superbowl contenders with Vick on the team.  For starters put Vick on the raiders and that would be insane. Put vick on the Vikings and that would be ungodly. The 49ers, Cards and Bengals , yes Bengals would be strong playoff contenders and then Vick can win 2 games in the playoffs with the right conditions. Now put Vick on the Chiefs with that speed....would a superbowl be possible? Maybe the Titans (yes Vince's last yr on contract)  Put vick on the Skins and they could make the playoffs same with the Broncos,Bears and Seahawks.  So in review teams that would be light years better with Vick and who I think should make a hard push for him are the Titans,Vikings,493ers,Cards,Bengals...all could be in the Superbowl discussion...Chiefs, Raiders and Titans would be a Big threat every Sunday and then the Skins bringing up the rear...Vick is unrestricted and can make his own decision so im sure $$$ will be an strong factor , and you have to believe Vick will get right at about $50-80 Million  4-6 yr deal....if you dont think thats possible please google Dan Snyder and Al davis.  Just my thoughts , having said all that the Eagles should sign him now because it will be a steal possibly about $50 million 5 years or something .....

OK on Peyton Mannings attempted game winning drive at 30 sec he hit his TE who caught the ball going out of bounds and then when he falls out of bounds you see the ball squirt out and roll forward, immediately I figured it was going to go to a booth review , to me it looked just like the Calvin Johnson game winning catch for Detriot.  the announcers didint mention it, and neither do the people on the NFL channel when they show the highlights ? What is the difference in between the two ?  And second of all does anyone agree if we would of ran it up the middle on first down when we had to kill the clock AND THEN run the reverse on second down we win the game, no one would expect a reverse in that situation or am i flawed in that thinking ? 

Sorry to point out the elephant in the room , but am i the only one that notices Stu is a shell of who he was before the surgery ? Every week a tight end just toasts him, he barely ever is the first on the scene making a sideline to sideline tackle, he only has 35 tackles 0 sacks,FF,int ...anything...He was being talked about as being on the cusp of stardom...compared to the elite players in the league...(older) Ray lewis 68 tackles 2 sacks 1int 1 ff, Urlacher 55 tackles 1.5sacks 1int 1 ff (younger) Ronaldo Mcclain out in oakland has 42 tackles .5 sacks  Patrick Willis has 67 tackles .5 sack.   Stu bradley isnt an impact player , he's infact a liability.  I dont think he's gonna ever be back to his old self.  I dont think we would get anything ever for him so im guessing the eagles should cut him eventually but i know he's a fan favorite and seems like a decent guy but damn if he's hurting the team we have to be real.

The Cowboys lost , the falcons lost , and we lost so that pretty much means today didnt happen, only thing today did was throw the Giants right back into it and we always beat the G-men (post plax).  Mcnabb looked great ! and welcome to Philadelphia Jason Avant great game, great hands, great route running...so now we def. have the best young rcvr core, i really liked the double reverse to Maclin, looked like if djax would of thrown the pitch when he was supposed to and take a hit Mac would of had about 60 yards to run untouched, not mad at taking the points early on with 4th and 1 ..would of worked if we could of stopped the bolts on that last drive. Brandon Gibson had 5 catches for 93 in his NFL debut , B Dawk had 12 tackles today.  Our D had 3 starters out so what can you expect...our Run d looked pretty bad.  Macho showed up today with some big hits and that Kickoff return in the last 30 seconds.  My biggest problem with the play calling was the use of Mike Vick...we had about four different 3rd and 3's or less and didnt use M.Vick once....he will pick up a first prolly 80% of the time, please put Vick in to correct the 3 rd and short, plus vick looked good on that throw he had. So overall I am as happy as you could be with a loss i guess....things arent that bad, just gotta get the D in the right direction and make the playoffs and then anything can happen. Im still thinking eagles superbowl this year !!!! Hollers,

Decent first game for ole' willie...6 tackles,1int, 1FF, 1 sack !!!!  So let me be one of the first to Welcome him to Philly. Next week we got the G-Men and we are gonna have to show up better then we did today...But a win is a win take away the pick 6 and D.Jax and it was a ruff game...The gaints are gonna be motivated after getting thier @ss handed to them 2 weeks in a row , we are gonna be on a short week (extra short now that its a 1pm kickoff) One positive is that the giants secondary looks like swiss cheese these last 2 games...so the mac and jax show could be in high gear....and another thing i think we will see is the most snaps we've seen for #7 for the season.  I think andy has been saving him for this stretch of tuff NFC East D-lines we have coming up....yes the skins have a Quality line and LB core, Gmen have the best line imo, and the boys have a good D-line led by Ware and im sure westy will be out 2 weeks....so shady is gonna have to step up, Vick is gonna get over 8 snaps.......Next week will show us if we are real or not !!!!   Lets go Eagles.........................................

Ok I live in the MD//DC area since 3rd grade and have been blessed with the intelligence to be an eagle fan since i started watching football bcuz my dad and randall Cunningham.  Anyways since i do live here I have the pleasure of watching SKins pre game, and post game shows for a good laugh.  Same thing every year now....we have the talent to win it all (WTF ?) , we can turn this around if we just....., theyve been preseason champs for about a decade with all the off season moves.  So two points here...#1 be glad your an Eagle fan, bcuz what snyder is doing to the Skins should be illegal, honestly. He is truly holding an entire city hostage.  I think he's worse then Crazy Al.  And second.....I was just thinking that the skins could actaully use Vick...they could have the worst O-Line in the NFL if not bottom 3 , so who else better to be your QB  then none other then the most untackleable(sp) player in the nfl 3 yrs ago ?  I really would like for Vick to stay , but honestly we all know this is a one year rental and hopefully he'll be a starter somewhere next year.   But the only chance the Skins have to generate some excitement would be to pull off something crazy like that plus Deangello Hall and him are tight....Dc is Close to his hometown of VA 2.5 drive, no pressure on him bcuz Campbell isnt staying...Jim Zorn is a great QB coach...I think the skins would really benefit from running the Wildcat about 20 snaps a game. with Sellers (pro bowl FB thats not currently blocking though.lol)  Dont know if the skins have anything we would want in return outside of a draft pick (hopefully 2nd round next year ,upgradable to a first ?)   I think this would be a perfect fit...the eagles brought him in, took the heat, groomed him and got him in shape and then get a 2nd rounder the same year ! Only thing i would hate is that i have to cheer for a player on the skins.......Am i dreaming , or would D Snyd. pull the trigger ?

I would of been this excited for his debut no matter what team he landed on, just so happened that he landed on my team ! I live in DC but am a die hard eagles fan and actually would of cheered for the third time in my life for the skins (doug williams SB, and the skins in the playoffs after Sean taylors tragic death) if the skins got Vick like it was rumored.  Anyways , I cant wait to see him open a can on the chiefs...what if he did slow down ? from a 4.25 to a 4.45 ? He's still the fastest Qb on the planet and still has a rocket...Im gonna guess 2 Td's and about 7 yards per play.....getting vick is in my eagles top five fav. moments of my eagles Fandom..(drafting #5 after he was my fav player in college,4th and 26, last years impossible playoff run, superbowl trip {spent almost $1500 on a party at the crib}, and the day my phone blew up that we signed vick !!!)   Luckily i had the Saints down as a loss before we even lost Mcnabb, so we are on pace to start the NFC east portion 4-1  ! OBV im a big eagle fan but i live in MD and they were showing the cowboys game.  I went out last night got in late and woke up at like 1pm.  So i didnt wanna miss the game so i was watching it streaming online and then the stream went down and i had to go meet my beautiful exgirlfriend(from 10th grade) at Hooters to watch the game.(didnt have to twist my arm) anyways somehow got stuck in traffic tried to take a short cut and got there at halftime and was like WTF the score was  7 3 when i left and then it was like a 20 plus lead. So i just really sat there and didnt watch much of the blow out (except for Mcnabbs injury). So my question is....How did Peters look ?  How did the Oline look overall? How did macho play ? How did the  D overall look ?  how was shady running with  it...was there any 3 or 4th and shorts we converted ? Just heard that the GM in san diego is pissed at Merrimans last headline making ordeal and an insider said he wouldnt be surprised if the Chargers traded him by the end of the season.  Story has it that they are fed up with his personal life always making headlines (locally i guess) and that he is more into the off the field life then on the field. PLus this is his last year of his contract and he's coming off the kneee injury. Only other thing I remember personally is the Steriod bust 2 years ago.  Anyways the "insider" in san diego said he wouldnt be surprised if it didnt even take a first round pick.  So my question is that Shawn is only 25 y.o. 6'4 275 lbs and last seen on the field he was an absolute animal that looked like a once in a generation type guy possibly (before the knee injury) anyways he would be in the convo as one of the greats in Eagles history if he did come and is at the level that we are accustomed to, and we need a OLB pretty badly right now. So do you thnk we could acquire merriman or its impossible bcuz we got mike vick and the team will be looked at like the Jailbirds ?  Eventhough i have a strong feeling these allegations are false but having one guy found guilty of Dog fighting and a "accused" woman beater on the team would not be  a good thing.  I would be for it...Just remember this is only speculation and a hypothetical question......let me know ealges nation. But i would believe he is the last piece to a dynasty...and imagine Stu B. comes back healthy next year !

Im already sick of all the comments on here and other sites saying the vick signing caused the eagles to lose a lifelong fan....lol ! Please go , but stop talking about it.  I own two dogs that i love and this is one of the greatest days of my Eagle fandom.... Get over it people, I love my dogs and might even cry when they pass and could never invision killing them or someone wanting to.....but people hunt ,fish, put down horses when they cant run, do numerous test on animals, pigs are smarter then dogs and make better pets and we eat bacon right ,and there are people who decide to have their pets put under instead of paying $2-4K for surgery.  Plus have you heard of Pavlovs dogs ? the "great scientist" he did some sick stuff to his dogs (taking parts of thier brain out, breaking their legs, elctro therapy etc....has science lost any lifelong fans as long as Pavlovs dog is going to be a saying in America ?
