Any Pre-Sale news?
Saw a tweet from Sullivan a few days ago mentioning single-game tickets going on sale Feb. 25... but nothing is on Cubs.com about it.. Has anyone heard if there's going to be a single-game pre-sale thing like they did with the Mastercard one last year?
OT- MLB At Bat 2010 app
Finally joined the rest of the world and picked up an Iphone. I have a question about the MLB At Bat 2010 app... does anyone know about on avg, how many MB (or GB) does listening to a 9-inning game live use... I realize that it won't be the same for every game, due to games being different lengths of time... but I'm just looking for an average number. Unfortunately I wasn't grandfathered into the unlimited data plan, so I'm trying to figure out how much data/month I'll end up using if I listen to games... before plunking down $15 for the app... and I can't find a solid number anywhere on how much data is transferred by the streaming games. Thanks to anyone who can help!
Cubs Tickets Pre-Sale MasterCard thing...
If I remember correctly those of us who used a MasterCard to buy tickets during the pre-sale thing was supposed to receive some sort of discount on shopping at Cubs.com or MLB.com. I remember there being some instructions on what code to enter or whatever you have to do to get the discount, but I've searched all my confirmation emails & can't find it.... Anybody remember what to do to get that discount????
ESPN.com's TV Listings Page
For those of you without CSN access, you're in luck. According to ESPN.com's TV Listings page for April 6th, does list that the Cubs/Astros' season opener will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 6pm CST.
MLB Extra Innings will most likely be doing a free preview that week anyway, so if you've got digital cable or satellite, then you possibly may get to see the Len & Bob version as well (provided they continue showing both the home & away feeds that they started doing at the tail-end of last season)
Vaguely OT: Slingbox??
Been looking into getting a Slingbox PRO to watch Cubs games from work.... so my questions to those who have it:
1) Do you have any difficulty logging into whatever account it is on the internet that you log into to view your home TV? Do you get what would be the equivalent of "Server busy" messages often, sometimes, rarely, or never?
2) What is the video/audio quality like? YouTube quality, MLB.TV 400K, 800K, or 1.2 (whenever 1.2 is working like it should)?
3) Do you really have full DVR function capability over the internet (like promised in all the advertisements)? In other words, if I'm at work (which has full broadband access) and record a Cubs game at 7pm on my home DVR..... will I be really be able to access and watch the game from my DVR via Slingbox over the Internet at work at say 12 or 1 am later that night?
Big thanks to any answers you guys can provide....
Another Dusty-led team bats out of order
David Ross batted when it was Corey's turn. Corey was called out after Ross lined out. Ross then got to bat again & singled.
But here's the proof that Dusty has completely blocked out his tenure with the Cubs.
Baker said his only other experience with a team batting out of order came when he was a player and he was the one who hit when he wasn't supposed to. When he came up the second time, he hit a three-run homer.
Ummm.... Dusty? The same thing happened just 4 years ago, back in 2004.... and you went ballistic on C.B. Bucknor. How could you forget that one?
More MLB.tv problems...
Anybody know how to fix this problem?
