I think we need to remember that Manu had a career year this year.

He averaged over 19 points per game. He was named 6th man of the year and made 3rd team all-nba. That puts him in the top 6 guards in the league. He was great in the first 2 playoff series and was the Spurs best player in the NO series. He is in the prime of his career right now.

I watched most of the Spurs games this year on the NBA package. Watching Manu play this year was simply a joy. The 40 point games, the back to back 37 point games against Dallas and Utah when Duncan was out, the last second winner against Milwaukee. There were many more games where he played great.

It is a shame that most will remember him for the LA series. It breaks my heart to have watched him play so poorly after such a great year.and I know that he will look back on the season as a failure because of the way it finished.

I don't think there is any reason to believe he doesn't have a couple more years like this left in him. So I am already looking forward to next year.

So I would like to thank Manu and the Spurs for a very entertaining season.
