2013 FSU Drive Charts and Results

Let's have a look at FSU's drive charts

Numbers Crunchers: Drive and Results Charts for 2013 FSU Football

+

Hey Gophers, I thought this may be of interest to some, because it can easily be done to replicate for the Gophers season (will just take some time). But it's a great tool to use in many different ways as a coach or a stats guy. It's not on the Level of our man Matt's Models, but it's something I did in my coaching life and what I was messing with throughout this year. So I put a blog post together and thought you guys might find it interesting on its merits (wrong team I know, more gopher homer takes :))

FSU Full Season O/D Drive & Results Chart

I had some fun with this earlier in the year and I finally went through all the data to outline the successes FSU had this year. It truly was a dominating year. The chart is a great tool for any team and coach and that's why I did a blog post about at my site, and cherry picked a couple things it can illuminate. Enjoy

Balls are in your court, NFL. Do you have any? Michael Sam does.

Article i did from my local blog on the story yesterday, I chose to focus on the initial quote that came from "anonymous" NFL GMs. Enjoy, any feedback is good. Peace!

I just posted a new blog at my site Z Delay Special, and includes an interview with new Gopher, Melvin Holland Jr, who was awesome enough to talk to me for a while. Check it out if you get a chance

Interesting Recruiting Minutia

As a member of different college SBN sites, I try to pass along information that I think each fanbase would appreciate when I get the chance. This is a timely and good read on some of the details coming into play for NSD. the numbers game as it pertains to schollys is a pretty interesting topic by itself and this talks to that a little bit.

In depth work on coaching and football history, this is awesome

This work is from a sister site here at SBN, Daily Norsemen. It's really well done it talks about Coaching philosophies, schematic history, and how it relates to the new Vikings staff. This is a great read for any real football junkie, it gets pretty in depth and it's long, but well worth it and educational. Enjoy

Dang that was fun! Let's discuss some X's & O's....

While the "fog of war" is clearing, let's discuss some things I'm interested in talking about that happened last night. I'm currently watching the BCS Film room version of the game. BTW, if you...

If Golden is out at Miami (of Florida) => Recruiting gets very interesting

I'm sitting here on "Sweatpant Sunday" chilling on my couch, reading about the Natty and patiently waiting, but I've heard from a couple places that Golden could be heading to Happy Valley. This...

How many idiots...?

I'm going to quote a quick blurb from the 4 letter network recap on bowl games: "The final BCS National Championship will feature FSU's menacing defense against Auburn's high-octane offense. The...

Perspective

Tough year overall and tough day for Coach Kill and the UofM Gopher football program. We are in the middle of a very fun little ride here at FSU, and sometimes it pays to be reminded just how good it is. The gopher program has had its struggles over the last 50 years, and Coach Kill is a damn good football coach and program builder. But things are pretty tough for him right now, and I wish him the best answers and solutions he can find for his epilepsy. Don't mean to be a downer, but the TDG does a good job covering this stuff and I just thought I'd add a little perspective...we got it pretty good, go Noles.

For the Stats and Chalk enthusiasts

I figured a few of you knuckleheads would enjoy reading this despite it being about 2 teams you don't pay much attention to. There are a couple damn good writers and brains up at TDG site, and I thought of several of our TN resident geeks when I read this. Enjoy
