Ellis was formerly a DE while Payton was a Dallas, before Dallas went to 3-4 and made him a LB. A model citizen and extremely productive. Not saying Saints should necessarily trade for him, but definitely be prepared to go get him on the waiver wire. I'd take 4 quality starts from the man in a heartbeat.

Tuesday's vote by the NFL owners could land New Orleans the 2013 Super Bowl, something unthinkable less than 4 years ago when Hurricane Katrina struck. New Orleans has a good shot, having last hosted the game in 2002, while rivals Arizona and south Florida have hosted or will host the game in more recent years.

ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the espn web site shows an NFL schedule release show for April 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. NFL Network usually does a lengthy show as well, but nothing is up yet on their site. Maybe we can all plan the fall in just over a week.

Wondering how #94 has been spending his time lately with injury rehab, StarCaps, and a criminal trial and civil suit hanging over his head? Here are the answers.

"I know there’s a lot of people in this world who don’t like me, or hate me because of who I am and how hard I work," Grant said. "But I pray for them all the time. I have no hate in my heart for people. I’m not a hateful person. A lot of people, when they look at me, they say. ‘Hey that’s an African-American man and he has plenty of money (he signed a seven-year $63 million deal with the Saints in April 2007).’ It ain’t all about that. At the end of the day, when we’re all dead and gone, that money is still going to be here.

"So what I’m saying is, ‘I love me some me.’ I love kids. I want kids to do the best in the world they can. The things that happened to me only made me a better person."
