Pure speculation (and this article mentions nothing of a trade), but with Johjima out in Seattle, might Mark Shapiro be able trade Kelly Shoppach to Seattle? Shapiro has had great success with our recent Seattle trades after all...

Does the continual injuries to young players bother anyone else as much as it does me? Does Shapiro need to give the Tribe's training and medical staff the boot as well? Just seems like there are far too many players going down for this team.

I think Barnes may be the sleeper of the 2009 trade tornado. He has a very Cliff Lee-esque pitching style (pounding the zone with the fastball with 90-92 mph speed), and is only 21.
