We all know how much the BCS sucked. That's been beaten into the ground. This article, and forthcoming book from Wetzel, is amazing. The greed and cunning shown by the Big 10 and PAC 10 along with the stupidity and naivete shown by the Big 12 and Big East may well end CFB as we know it forever.

The idea that teams like Kansas, Kansas St, Colorado, Iowa St, etc... might have nowhere to go if the PAC 10 pillages the B12 has to have the MWC wringing their hands. I know I don't have to tell you, this does not bode well for Boise's chances at the MWC. I've seen news from multiple sources that say don't expect a MWC offer for BSU this week because of what's going on in the Big 12.

However, what happens to the Big 12 "orphans" if they have nowhere to go and join the MWC? No more BCS/TV contract money for those teams means bloated budgets and massive cuts.

How could the Big 12 & Big East presidents be this stupid? How can regular fans know that a 16 team playoff would generate TONS more money than the BCS, but the presidents would turn their backs on it, especially in this economy? Answer: they are all a bunch of sheep that bow to whatever their commissioner tells them. In this case, Big 12 commissioner Beebe and his trust of that snake in the Big 10, Delaney, will prove to be the Big 12's undoing.

We are on the cusp of something HUGE in CFB, and it could be TERRIBLE for BSU and college sports all over the nation.

Article from Gregg Doyle. As Loque stated, all Boise State fans need to read it. It's some scary stuff. Like I said in another post, I'm not sure where Boise ends up. If the Big 10 and SEC start feasting on the Big East and ACC and the PAC 10 and Big 12 carve up the Mtn West, the Broncos could be left out in the cold. I am not sure I've read anything that makes me believe the PAC 10 would be interested in Boise St. So where do the Broncos go?

I do agree with Doyle, the 96 team tourney concept is essentially meaningless. Sure it sucks, but it has to be done, I feel, or schools will be forced to cut smaller programs.

Here's the REAL threat: A 4 conference "Super League" (sans Boise State) would secede from the NCAA in order to keep from sharing HUGE money with smaller schools.

I said it before, it could give us what we all wanted: the end of the BCS, and it could be worse than we ever imagined.
