I come from a background where I was raised to be, and still am, a diehard Cardinals fan. When Albert left for the Angels I will admit it stung. But Albert has been one of my favorite players since coming in to the majors. I know people know what Albert can do, but it's one thing to know and another thing to see him put your team on his back and take them to the postseason year after year. So what I am saying is that I now consider the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim my official American League team that I root for. I will always be a Cardinals fan, and I know that my redbirds will still continue to be successful, but I also cannot bring myself to cheer against Pujols. Therefore here I am. Even though I live in Kentucky I already have plans to go to my first Angels game later this year.

There is something about the Angels that have always seemed likable, and not just the consistent winning. It was the whole aura about the team. It reminded me of the way the Cardinals come across to me. Almost in an Americana type way. I'm looking forward to interacting with you guys and gals in Halo Heaven and hopefully will be able to make some new friends!

Happy Opening Day!
