Unfortunately, this is an all too frequent occurrence here in Panama City, FL. Every spring there are at least a couple of these. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Unfortunately, unrighfully so, and as anticipated by most the BSU Broncos once again do not get the respect or credit they deserved.

So much for any thought that Cincinnati had for beating UF in the Sugar Bowl.

One Bronco Nation Under God What if...

I was just sitting hear re-living the awesome and decisive smackdown the Broncos put on the Vandals yesterday while looking for some BSU related articles, and this crazy thought entered into my head.  I know the odds would be incredibly long but just suppose for a moment that:

1.  By miracle of all miracles Florida St. pulls a rabbitt out of the hat and beats Florida the week before the SEC championship game.

2.  Florida then goes on to beat Alabama in the SEC Championship game.  They were both going to have a BCS invite regardless so none of this hurts BSU.

3.  With both Florida and Alabama having a loss TCU gets vaulted to #2 in the rankings and plays Texas in the NC game and wins the BCS Championship.

4.  Cincinnatti wins the Big East Championship securing their BCS bid but loses in their bowl game.

5.  BSU gets a BCS at-large berth and wins their bowl game.

The only thing here that is all that crazy is FSU beating UF but it is an in-state rivalry and UF hasn't exactly looked dominant of late.

If these things were to fall into place is it possible that when it's all said and done TCU is the BCS National Champions and BSU is ranked #2 in the final polls of the season?  What poetic justice that would be.  The final polls would probably be released on Jan 8, the day after the NC game, and on Jan 9 the BCS system would crash harder than Wall Street on Black Tuesday in 1929.
