Marleau for Drury?

Puck Daddy is not offering a rumor, but "a thought." However, would playing in New York "crush his soul?" Maybe the other Patrick (Rissmiller) has something to say about that...

Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of Ryan Salmons

Many of you probably remember the inspirational story of how Jody Shelley (a former Columbus Blue Jacket) spent a good part of his day with a young Columbus fan with terminal cancer. Sadly, that man lost his battle yesterday. I corresponded with Mr. Salmons (the father) shortly after the December game (which showcased Shelley's heart), and you could tell that he was one proud father. On behalf of Fear the Fin, rest in peace, Ryan. [Update] = Please visit Brad and Ryan Salmon's blog.

Sharks sign 2006 draft pick John McCarthy

The facts = Boston University's captain. Left wing. 154 games in 4 seasons. 45 points in his career, 29 of them this season (6 goals, 23 assists). Native of Beantown. Click the link for the rest.

The Lesser of Two Evils

Fear the Fin users decide who is the Lesser of Two Evils - the Detroit Red Wings, or the Anaheim Ducks.

T-Mac nominated for the Jack Adams

I'm pretty sure Todd would prefer a Jack Daniels right now, since this award is going to Andy Murray anyway.

Man behind the HP Pavilion dies

It's easy to take the HP Pavilion for granted - here's a moving obituary for the man who did his job so well that we're indeed able to take the arena's presence for granted.

Mr. K. rockin' the Sharks gear in Jerusalem

Note the paper yarmulke. Photo taken last Friday - before I knew the result of Game 1.

It's official! Mike Grier and Claude Lemieux are returning tonight!

While Patrick Marleau won't be back tonight, he could be in Thursday. WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! UPDATE (1:22pm) - The link above is the Sharks' site - here's WTC.

Claude Lemieux nominated for Masterton Trophy

For the uninitiated, the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy (named for the only NHL player to ever die as a direct result of on-ice injuries) honors the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey. Claude Lemieux, despite not seeing ice time since February 28th, has certainly shown those three in his comeback dating to January 20th.

Bobby Ryan's goals bookend a beatdown - Sharks lose 2-5

The Anaheim Ducks pummel the San Jose Sharks in a potential prelude to the post-season.

Sharks ECHL affiliate Phoenix RoadRunners to fold

The franchise folds after tomorrow night's game. Boo.
