So i just had a scary thought. Is it possible that Philbin is taking a cue from Fisher and showing public interest in the dolphins only a leverage tool to get more money somewhere else?
doc-ster
I feel like just yesterday i was listening to Sparano's preseason speech where he vowed that our team would be exciting, and we would win.
=(
Hello worthy adversaries. Medic here from Thephinsider. I wanted to pose a question to you, and forgive me if its already come up around these parts.
What would you think if Sparano brought Henne with him?
Who would you want starting week 1 2012, Henne or Sanchez?
Medic
Unofficial reports are saying that Jeff Fisher has decided on Miami. There are no links as of now. The Phin Addicts, and The Phinstones (highly reputable super fans) have said it was announced on WQAM.
the Doc
While everyone is buzzing at Jeff Fisher, and Ross has openly said he will throw cash at him until he spunks all over himself, i'd just like to point out Fishers most simple stats while at Tennessee.
16 full season
6 over .500 seasons
6 playoffs
4 8-8 seasons
5 under .500 seasonsNothing really spectacular. IJS
Yo
Let me just get something off my chest. I've now twice seen people mention Mcnabb coming to miami.
Wtf are you guys smoking. NO....no...and fuck no. He is done done done.
I will take Moore over Mcnabb all day ever day and twice on Sundays.
And dont tell me he can groom a rookie qb. To do what? Scramble outside the pocket and eventual throw an off target pass?
Give me a freaking break. NO TO MCNABB.

Medic Offers His Protection
So here i am in the "TrashCan". Sporting my very own deep end, Phin Addicts shirt. Thanks to Jeff aka Stripe, for inviting me to his viewing party while i was home on leave, and hooking me up with this super sweet shirt.
Here i am with the big boy. Mosul, you know what im talkin bout huh huh!! *elbow nudge* ahhh yeah, you know.
I've had lots of time for solemn reflection this season. Its been tough. Its been heartbreaking. Its been a rollercoaster that is all drop and no flips.
I only added this pic so you can see that i been workin out. Check out those tri's. Yeah i know you like that Sh*t.
So i got a super sweet care package with a super sweet Phins stocking in it. Im stoked, on the stocking. Just unsure of what to stuff in my stoked stocking. Stuff. Oh yeah, im a f*cking reindeer, its a secret Army thing, so dont ask.
Well, thats all folks, See ya later!!

ESPN Suddenly believes in the Phins.
Hope they're right!
Nolan admits to misuse of Dansby.
Nolan actually apologized to Dansby after the final Cleveland scoring drive.
Daboll admits he knows how to use bush, and intends to use him on screens and line him up as a reciever.
Is Sparano the only coach on the staff who wont admit to mistakes, and call himself out when need be?
Just got done playing madden 12.
Henne, 7 td's 0 Int's
Brandon Marshall, over 400 yards recieving.
=(
My fellow Phinsiders, it is a sad day for me. I realized today that my passion is gone. After reading a few posts from people who are still passionate one way or the other, it hit me that i am totally indifferent. It pains me to say, but i dont really even look forward to sundays anymore.
I've supported the team for so long, been through so much heartbreak. I am to the point now that the team will have to win me back. So im not going to post that im pro this, or against that. Im just going to go about my business. Sure i'll watch games, i'll check scores and look at stats. But that will mostly be done because i am a creature of habit.
So here i'll be, just waiting for the day i can feel anything for the Dolphins again.
Medic
Riddle me this batmen:
Why is there a debate about pass vs. run? Why has our team come to a point where its one or the other? I know the NFL has become more of a passing league but it all still boils down to balance.
Its possible that balance is the only thing lacking right now. We dont have a *great* passing game. We dont have a *great* run game. What we need is the happy median. There is enough talent in both dimensions of our offense to make something very viable out of it.....
LOOKING AT YOU SPARANO/DABOLL.
MEDIC
Sparano on using Bush and Thomas together
Is it just me, or does Sparano seem to make everything harder than it has to be?
There will be no Marlins infield dirt for the Monday night game
This is coming from the highly reputable Phin Addicts Facebook page.
Dolphins/ Pats historical stats.
This article is very poorly written, however, the content is very good.
Football Players Can be Such Animals(Redux)
(This is a repost , but with us having a bunch of new members and the first game still a few days away, i figured this could help pass some time and get a few laughs. Hey, if Brantner can do it, so can i lol)
Whats up everybody. The last few weeks i have been having this strange image pop into my head. For whatever reason, whenever i see Peyton Manning, i cant help but think of a Beluga whale. Then after i googled a picture of a Beluga i realized they do look pretty similar. So then i got to thinking, what other NFL players look like animals? So you guessed it, i am doing a post about what animals i think certain players look like. Now these comparasons may only be in my minds eye, but heres how i see it.

The Week One-drum Conundrum (shut up, i like it)
The last couple days, all i've been hearing is how a win on Monday over the patsies will mean great things for the season. The first thing that popped into my head was game 1 of 2008 Vs. the jest. We lost. But the suck didnt stop there, we went on to go 2-4 in our first 6 games, then managed to get back to 4-4 by the midway point.
So game 1 is no biggie right? Win. Lose. Whatever, theres still plenty of time to get back into it. Historically, however, thats not the case for the Dolphins.

Biggest takeaway from the Dolphins@Bucs game? The comradery. I dont care how many points were scored by the second and third stringers, or what the final score was. I've only been able to see the highlights. But the celebration after Marshall's TD was like nothing i've seen from the phins in a few years.
It looked like Marshall was going to break down and cry in the endzone. It was nothing short of beautiful. We are witnessing the foundation of a great team being laid.

Dear Mr. George Diaz
The title of the above linked article is "Dolphins need the other denver QB....Tim Tebow", written by George Diaz. Now, you can read this article if you like. However i recommend that you don't. Its infuriating. So infuriating in fact that i tried to make an account on Sunsentinel.com just to tell Mr. Diaz what i thought of his article. However, in my blind fury, i had not the time nor patience to figure that crap out. I want to add a picture of Mr. Diaz but i cannot because im using a government computer in afghanistan. So without further ado, I'm going to vent it right to my brethren, my fellow phinsiders.

Why we wasted Ronnie Brown.
He was a tremendous runner who got better as games wore on. Ronnie is a monster, and when given a consistent workload, through both a game and a season, will be an elite running back.
Why Tony Sparano never realized this and took advantage of it is a mystery to me. Mark my words here and now:
Ronnie will have the best season of his career this year with the eagles.
Elite Receiver Trades of Footballs Past
Hello. Its been awhile kids. While heavily medicating myself with alcohol last night i had the idea to make this post. I was wondering just how successful is BMarsh going to be in aqua and orange. He's young, he's hot headed, he's insanely talented, and now he's insanely rich. So i am going to take a look back at some other big name wide receivers who were traded in their prime. Make the jump and we'll do the damn thing.

Daniel Tosh Hates Nick Saban!!
What up guys. Let me just apologize right now for this post. I dont usually make a one paragraph fanpost but this is so great that i couldnt just make it a fanshot. Daniel Tosh is from Miami and a huge sports fan. I dont know if he is actually a dolphins fan, but after seeing this video he sure seems like it. I couldnt figure out how to embed the video because im using a mac.....anyway, enough excuses. Enjoy!

Miami Dolphins: Conception
Many people know when the Miami Dolphins were founded, and by whom, but how much do we really know beyond dates and names? Lets take a look into it, make the jump.

The Chill Pill: One Over Par
Everyone who has said this season was "disappointing" "unsatisfactory" can go ahead and suck it right now. If you'll recall midway through 2009, just before the season started, there was a consensus that the Miami Dolphins would be right on track in the rebuilding process if they could achieve an 8-8 record for the 2009 season. We ended up at 7-9, one over par.

I'm not talking about the evolution of man. I'm talking about the evolution of the Miami Dolphins. Although if you want to truly evolve as a person, you better have some Miami Dolphins love in you.

Gameday Story In Pictures: Medic Edition
Let me start this out by giving a huge shout out to Ohio. This guy is the man. I've said it before, and ill say it again: when i die, i want to be reincarnated as OFF4L. Allright, this is a "picture" story, so i'll stop yakking.
I first met up with Ohio around 10am. The energy level was instantly raised. Dolphins pride was abundant!!!
Who said getting older means you have to grow up?? These two guys definitely did NOT get the message. Early on in the tailgate we noticed this vehicle with Patriots stickers in the windows. It was one of those moments where u just knew something had to be done. Never fear!! We sprung into action!!!
We're a couple of good guys, so we did what any two good guys would do: We got the wives involved.
Extra Kudos to my wife Cassy (MrsMedic). She was such a trooper. She fought the hangover and the exhaution and made it through the day!!
I just had to get a picture with this dude. I know some of us push the envelope of Miami Dolphins Fandom. Well my friends, whenever you feel like you've crossed the line, please open this post, have a look at this fellow and feel a little better about yourself. (For the record, it was hot as hell that day)
I know it wasnt shown on tv, but the veterans day events were in full swing. They had representatives from every branch there. There were video's being shown on the jumbo tron of players thanking service men and women for what they do. If i remember correctly Ayodele and Fasano were the two up there. USA USA USA!!
Ok i have a couple videos i want to share, but im having a problem embedding them into the post. Check out Ronnie's rushing TD. Notice the guy behind me....i thought he was Rick Ross. Then when i panned back, i thought he was bone crusher. Then i realized he was just a big sweaty dude at the game.
My wife snapped this picture of me in the 4th Qtr. The game literally became a nailbiter, i think i ate most of the tips of my fingers. For the record, i was still wearing the headband Ohio!
Ok, so finally we come to the game winning field goal. I didnt know whether to be mad at Henne or not. He threw that HORRIBLE pick. But then turned around and got a few good completions on the final drive. But truth be told, the one player who deserves all the thanks for putting us into position to kick the field goal is Ricky Williams. Without further ado, check out the video.
I hope you all enjoyed the pics and vids, medics out!
