The 2010 draft re-graded
Way too early before waivers 53-man Depth Chart
All 32 team's current rosters including UDFAs
While sussing out team's post-draft projected depth charts, I found this useful resource on Wikipedia.
I don't know if it's been posted before but it's got all 32 teams players with links to their wiki pages. Enjoy!

Who should be available to us in the 2nd round
5 non-trade-down mocks with different picks at 7th
Realistically, I doubt we get a lovely trade down.
Based on three of the first six picks being QBs. Luck, RGIII, Kalil, Tannehill,
One of Richardson, Blackmon, Fletcher Cox, Riefff or Claiborne should be BAP (best player available).
So I'm making 5 mocks addressing our needs with each at the top and again cross-referencing my board and the MTD Big Board and a bit of commonsense about risers and sliders
http://www.mockingthedraft.com/2012/3/29/2913019/consensus-big-board-massive-update-top-224#97244647
I have our draft needs as not being so dire at at WR as everyone is acting. I think we need only 1-2 with one feature size/stats. Same with DE 1-2. and one a potential starter. I think we need a new right tackle for sure. I think we should address DE, RT and WR in the first 3 picks and also wouldn't mind a DT, TE, RB or a LB (because the class is good) later on.
WR Feature: Laurent Robinson, ???
WR Possession :Dillard, Robiskie
WR Slot: Mike Thomas, Cecil Shorts III
LDE:Kampman?, ???, Chick, Selvie, Morgan
RDE: Mincey, Lane

| I think the best idea is to get one premier pass rusher and WR with the first two picks. |
| Then right tackle or another pass rusher |
| Decent backup WRs,CBs and DEs can be got after that. |
| I have a few core players I like but I mixed things up a bit for variety's sake. |
Mullayo's post season March edition
My offseason attempt. I'm not happy the front office haven't positioned ourselves in the last two years of free agency to cash in on last year's and this year's draft's strengths by leaving room for corner backs, linebacker and wide reciever. Last year we should have been getting DEs not this year, and not a QB or safeties. I'd like to get two athletic longterm linebackers in later rounds and a couple of cornerbacks but don't have the picks or roster room to spare.
1.) (7th) DT/DE Fletcher Cox- 6’6"/ 300 lbs.4.79sec
2.) (39) WR Mohamed Sanu 6'2", 216lb, 4.56 sec
3.) (71st)RT Matt McCants 6'6" 308lb, 5.25sec
4.) (103rd)DE Cam Johnson 6'3" 267lb, 4.8sec

Which released players affect our free agency plans?
Interesting player releases - partially due to the Redskins/Cowboys debacle - could affect our player interests in free agency.
Redskins desperately trying to surround RGIII with enough players to play a game after a disastrous trade and NFL cap sanctions combo have cut two players we could be interested in. FS O.J. Atogwe and RT Jamaal Brown.
Furthermore, news is coming out about other players that could be on our radar and cheap. Let's list them as they come up and debate their merits or shortcomings. At least 7 we should consider or will impact our other interests.
Glimpse behind the scenes of an NFL warroom
Former head scout for Rams and Panthers and current ESPN analyst Tony Softli discusses how a draft board and do-not draft board is put together and who makes the decisions, how a warroom runs, character concerns, interviewing and weighting players at the Combine with DraftCountdown. Interesting inside information from someone who's been there for 15 years. He also analyses some of this year's draft stock and BPA vs Needs.

Which RECEIVERS do we keep? Stats to follow
I based my post on an article the intrepid Rhett found and fanshotted about who got the dropsies in our receiving corp. http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2012/1/29/2756991/how-many-passes-did-each-receiver-drop#comments
I thought drops without knowing the times the reciever was targetted are pretty useless so I looked it up.
Many people are mocking us multiple WRs in the draft and free agency but how about a tight end?
Lewis was the biggest culprit and drop off from last year with 10 drops by himself. A pass catching tight end could be more of a need than a WR? Give us two tightend sets and competition for the complacent Marcedes.
We have to keep some of these muppets but which ones?
'Maybe Mike Thomas didn't have such a bad year if you compare the stats that follow? How important is his $18m contract?
Maybe, based on the stats, Chastin West could have been targeted more? And kept?
How about Robiskie and Price? Better the devil you know with Hill and Dillard or should we punt on the great unkown of the first two?
How important is Osgood on specail teams? Is he untouchable?
Does the rookie Shorts deserve another year? He's the same age as 4 other recievers?
THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES...
I assume in the next offseason we get 3 newbies so we need three or four of the current WRs... and a catching tight end?
Miami Dolphins switching back to 4-3
Draft Ace are reporting that the Miami Dolphins are reverting to a 4-3. The impact is discussed after the link.Maybe 4-3 linebacker becomes their biggest need. Kuechly? Zach Brown?
Draft chart for single round mocks
Here is a draft chart I made in conjunction with Durst's theory of first rounders and premium postions.
http://www.mockingthedraft.com/2012/1/20/2721318/for-those-about-to-mock-we-salute-you-2012-edition
Below is table I made using Durst's theory. I roughly ranked the players (I know the numbers don't add up I changed some and lost track) and bolded the surefire first rounders (17).
The names in italics or crossed out weren't on Durst's list of 32 but I've included them either because I think they should be or because in reality teams don't pick the same BPA and will reach for PON when they have to and some of the depth will come into play. Especially with a swag of successful 3-4 teams at the bottom of the round.
So you simply adjust the charts names and values factor in post FA team needsand presto! you have a perfectly believable mock (that will never happen...)
After the break is my actual draft using this chart and team needs I found trawling around fansites etc.

Mullayo's first Mock (Post Senior Bowl) 1 round
Here is my first Mock of the season made in conjunction with Durst's theory of first rounders. Be gentle!

Draft and FA Final 53 Rosterbation
JAGs DRAFT - using NEPatriotsDraft.Com Top 100 and DraftTek Top 350
1(7) OT Reilly Rieff: RT was a revolving door for DEs. Rieff is a quick fix. Britton to backup or LG.
2(39) CB Chase Minnefield. Mathis may not return. Need a corner across from Cox. Minnefield is zone coverage stud but currently injured so hype is minimal and falls to here.
3(71) CB Brandon Boykin. Undersized but quick, tough and competitive CB. Ideal nickel.
4 (103) DE Jake Bequette. Developmental DE. Strong showing at Senior Bowl.
5 (135) WR Joe Adams. Quick, deep threat and good catcher.
6 (167) WR Marvin Jones. Smooth, good-sized deep threat with soft hands.Strong Senior Bowl.
WR analysis that applies to free agents we're interested in.
EDIT: I thought this was really good, so I bumped it and put on the FP - Alfie
Metric analysis of big WRs by Fantasy Football Metrics with surprising results. According to this data we should be targeting in order Vincent Jackson, Dwayne Bowe but we should have kept Mike Sims-Walker and keep Robiskie because they are top 15 talents.
| 87 | Dillard, Jarett | WR | 5-10 | 187 | 26 | 3 | Rice |
| 81 | Osgood, Kassim | WR | 6-5 | 220 | 31 | 9 | San Diego State |
| 15 | Price, Taylor | WR | 6-0 | 205 | 24 | 2 | Ohio |
| 18 | Robiskie, Brian | WR | 6-3 | 209 | 24 | 3 | Ohio State |
| 80 | Thomas, Mike | WR | 5-8 | 198 | 24 | 3 | Arizona |
| 17 | West, Chastin | WR | 6-1 | 214 | 24 | 1 | Fresno State |
| 84 | Shorts III, Cecil | WR/RS | 6-0 | 193 | 24 | R | Mount Union |
Note how Robiskie, Thomas,Taylor, West and Shorts are all the same ages despite the experience difference.
I'd keep Shorts (KR), Thomas (slot), Robiskie and either West or Taylor (posession), Osgood as a TE, sign either Colston, Bowe or Jackson as a feature WR and then draft two of Wright/Sanu/Toon/Quick/Dwight Jones in rounds 2 and 3
Smart teams don't draft WRs before 15
I personally wouldn't draft a WR in the first round. I don't mind Blackmon but I don't trust Alshon Jeffrey and Malcolm
Floyd at all. I would much rather get a corner, o-line or pass rusher with this pick and get Kendall Wright, Nick Toon, Mohammed Sanu, or Dwight Jones with our 2nd and 3rd picks. The geek people at fantasy football metrics agree it isn't good form and use statistics to back it up.

Mullayo's 2012 rosterbation feat. new QB!
FIRST attempt at a rough offseason solutionn. New quarterback coming with new HC. New 'hybrid 3-4, 4-3 defence Using the Draft's strengths: Good year for 4-3 middle linebackers, CBs, WRs, so lets draft those positons later. Make a splash in FA in two positions: QB and DE. Defense is set, O to be a lot bettter with or without Gabbert. Get linebacker of the future to learn off our current crop of expensive FAs or why bother? Osgood off WR to TE because that's what he is effectively. 6ft5in, 220lb TE! Miller time over. Too many drops.

NFL Film's Greg Cosell completely writes off Blaine Gabbert.
Uber expert film analyst for NFL Film's, Greg Cosell writes off Blaine Gabbert in the Yahoo Sports Shutdown Corner podcast.
At 12min 45 secs Greg Cosell:
"You know what I do. I watch tape, I do it for pro and I do it for college
" And I try to be as reasonable as I can be and I'm wrong about players as everybody is...
"I will say uniquivocally that Blaine Gabbert will not make it in this league as a starting NFL quarterback."
I really, firmly believe after watching him for all these weeks and talking to people, that his, for want of a better word, for our family conversation, his lack of pocket toughness, is not something that can be taught."

Jags vs Colts is really Rams vs Colts?
UPDATED: The St Lose Rams have gleefully goose-egged against Pittsburgh 0-27 giving them the same 2-13 record as the Colts, who unfortunately hold the tiebreaker to pick first in the draft by virtue of having the weakest schedule (playing us twice?).
The Rams finish their season at home to the 49ers which is eminently losable unless the dvision winning 49ers (12-3 after beating Seattle) rest players for the finals . I am now officially rooting for us to lose the Colts game and give the Rams the first pick. - we are crap and injured and this is the only positive we can take out of the season at this stage the opportunity to stymie Polian make him work for his money
If the Rams get first pick, with Barkley gone, I assume Redskins, Dolphins and Browns would be aggressive trade partners. The Browns actually have two first rounders. Luck landing at the Colts could be disastrous, much better he's in another division, preferably conference. They are crap without a QB and next year Peyton is a maybe playing and definitely getting old.
Shahid Khan interview with Peter King of S.I.
In an interesting podcast Shahid Khan tells his story to Peter King of Sports Illustrated. His background, his Bears affiliation, the Rams attempt, the Jags buy, the head coach hire and Gabbert's future.
Why we should draft a new QB with our first pick!
1) RIGHT NOW GABBERT IS BAD: If Indy select Andrew Luck and we stick with Gabbert we will arguably be starting not only the worst QB in the league but the 7th or 8th best QB in the weakest division in the NFL. Think about it...Manning, Luck, Schaub, Hasselback, Locker, Yates...Leinart/Gabbert, Painter...Not good enough particularly because...
2) MOST OF OUR PREMIER PLAYERS ARE IN THEIR PRIME: MJD, Daryl Smith, Posluszny, PotRoast, Marcedes, Cox, are in their prime and we shouldn't waste that relying on only one young QB. GregJones, Landry, Lowery, Mathis are past their best but have a little left we can't waste this precious time. We're a QB and WRs away from a run.
3) WHY NOT A WR WITH THE FIRST PICK: I know people point their fingers at the WRs and the rest of our offense but QB is the prime position we can't afford to ignore. Also, I believe Blackmon and Ashlon have red flag character issues that may make them possible busts or blacklist them with Gene - though I think it's rare that great recievers come without mental baggage. We can pick up the likes of Sanu, McNutt, Nick Toon, Dwight Jones in the 2nd round.
4) TRADE VALUE: Gabbert may be our franchise QB of the future in the long run but I''d personally prefer a two QB battle with Barkley. The best gets the gig, the other develops. We're only paying Gabbert a bargain $12m for 4 years so he's trade bait. If they both work out you can trade them for full value in picks like Vick/Kolb, Tebow/Orton.
5) NEW REGIMES MEAN NEW QBS: New coach/OC will want a new QB. Assuming Luck is long gone, we're picking around 3-7, the candidates we should seriously be looking at are Matt Barkley - USC - 6'2 - 220 - Top 10 and Robert Griffin III - Missouri - 6'2 - 220 - Top 10 or Landry Jones - Oklahoma- 6'4 - 230 - Top 20.
5) BARKLEY IS BETTER THAN GABBERT RIGHT NOW: I've looked at Barkley and like him a lot. He's the anti-Gabbert: Smaller, less athletic, but pro-style offence and shows poise under pressure, he likes slants, steps up into the pocket, he's more experienced and hustles for plays. He's a higher ranked prospect more elite than Gabbert too and is much more pro-ready.
http://www.nfldraftblogger.com/2011/10/matt-barkley-scouting-report/
I'm not adverse to a CB or LT at the first pick but if we're picking 3th - 7th Barkley may be the BPA and the best player for our hopes next year what do you think?
Which QB should we draft with our first pick?
If Indy select Andrew Luck and we stick with Gabbert we will arguably be starting the worst QB in the league but the 6th or 7th best QB in the weakest division in the NFL. Think about it...Manning, Luck, Schaub, Hasselback, Locker...Leinart/Gabbert, Painter...
Mullayo's Mid-season Roster-bation
Pre-season, me and others posted our depth charts, unbeknownst to us Gene Smith went postal and blew up the roster in a fit of reality checking. In the hazy aftermath, we can see improvements but it's hard to gauge post apocalypse how much we've gained?
Witness my post-draft, pre-free agency depth chart - notice how it bears little or no resemblance to the current chart after the leap. This season is (Texan' perrenial choking apart) pretty much a write off. My question to you fellow fans is what state will our roster be in heading into next season? The D is world beating but will the O be good enough? Will these players be there? Where will we upgrade? Will it be enough with ascending Texans and Andrew Luck in Indy?

Earlier, I made a FanPost taking a stab at the Houston Texans depth chart under the new 3-4 alignment. Now I'm proud to present and claim as my own the Tennessee Titans complete depth chart (albeit very similar to the one they posted on their own official site).
I wonder why they've done this? Is it some form of a motivational tool?
On paper they don't look as dismal as I'd have hoped. Their area of strength don't seem to match ours - apart from running back - having a strong secondary and wide receiver corp. What do you guys think?
Division rival depth charts: TEXANS
Know your enemy...Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...etc. I was enjoying our free agency and our improving defence but before crowning us division champions I realised I should investigate our rivals depth charts post-draft and free agency.
The most compelling team as usual is the on-paper pre-season champions the Houston Texans new and improved with Wade Phillips' much vaunted 3-4. So, I thought I'd sketch their possible depth chart out so we know roughly what we're up against. I don't know this team intimately and will probably need plenty of help so feel free to point out mistakes - as I'm sure you will.
