CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Taylor left Saturday's 47-3 preseason loss to Carolina with a sprained right knee.

Coach Jim Zorn indicated an initial X-ray showed no serious damage, but said Taylor would undergo an MRI on Sunday.

The six-time Pro Bowl pick, acquired in a trade with Miami last month, was hurt when his leg bent awkwardly after he ended up in the middle of the pile following DeAngelo Williams' 5-yard run midway through the second quarter.

Since arriving at Giants training camp, I've been told that several members of the organization plan their Wednesday evenings around watching HBO's "Hard Knocks" in an effort to find more bulletin board material.

Apparently Jacobs has already seen enough because he went off on the Cowboys while appearing on WFAN's mid-day show earlier this week. After calling the Cowboys an "arrogant group," Jacobs followed with this:

"I guess they won their Super Bowl rings in training camp, because they didn't win it last year," he said.

OXNARD, Calif. -- Zach Thomas understands the perception some people have after his abbreviated final season in Miami, though he doesn't agree with it.

"They labeled me with that, as prone for concussions," he said. "Everybody just thinks I'm some guy out here that's punch drunk, running around."

Now Thomas looks forward to the opportunity to prove them wrong.

If he seems confused at times during the Dallas Cowboys training camp, that is because Thomas is trying to learn and adjust to a new defense -- not aftereffects of a concussion and migraines that limited the seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker to five games last season.

Who is the #1 all-time Cowboys player

Football might be the ultimate team game, but you won't find many general managers unwilling to trade a decade's worth of draft picks for a time machine to go back and build around any of these players. But just who is the greatest player in the history of Cowboys football?

Leading up to ESPN.com's 2008 NFL preview, we're asking for SportsNation's help in sorting out the history of each franchise. Namely, we need your help crowning the all-time greats.

Voting includes all players in a franchise's history, regardless of location (Baltimore and Indianapolis Colts, for example).

According to a Cowboys source, the team has imposed a Thursday deadline for reaching an agreement with Glenn for the 2008 season. As most of you know, Jerry Jones wants Glenn to sign an injury waiver that would pay him $500,000 instead of the $1.7 million he's set to make if he re-injures his knee. The Cowboys will board a charter flight for Oxnard, Calif., at high noon, and if Glenn's not on the plane, it probably means he's been released.

The Cowboys did not want Terry Glenn, who played in only one game last season while recovering from a pair of knee surgeries, participating in team workouts last week.

Now, according to Glenn, the Cowboys don't want to be on the hook to pay him, either, if the receiver hurts his knee again.

Glenn told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for Thursday's editions that the Cowboys have asked him to sign a $500,000 injury settlement. Such an agreement would free Dallas of any obligation to pay him if he cannot play this season because of his knee.

The Arizona Cardinals have no interest in dealing wide receiver Anquan Boldin, despite trade inquiries from other teams and a trade request by Boldin's agent.

"We're not interested in trading Anquan," general manager Rod Graves said, according to the Arizona Republic. "That's the short of it."

Adam "Pacman" Jones is confident he's through with the Tennessee Titans -- and he has already chosen a number he'd like to wear with the Cowboys if he lands in Dallas.

And he adds he wants to wear #21...

Jones, appearing at a charity basketball game at Tennessee State University with rosters made up of current and former Titans, signed his name and the number 21 on a football that was being auctioned off for charity instead of the number 32 he wore in two seasons in Nashville.

Asked if that was wishful thinking, he said "that's your idea," according to the report. But Jones also said he believed Deion Sanders, whom he considers a friend, would let him wear the No. 21 that "Prime Time" wore with the Cowboys, according to the report.
