He is back and so is the hair. I have been watching a ton youtube videos of him and he just doesnt miss. The wizards need to sign this guy when he comes back. The story in SI talks about his new found passion for the game and this sounds like something this team could use badly. This is one of the best stories I have read in a long time.

This past week I went up to Coach Wooten's basketball camp to coach and one night I had the opportunity to sit down and talk to dino gregory as well as Dave neal and a couple of the teams managers. These are some things I pulled away from the conversation

- First, Dave Neal is a crazy dude, always slappin peoples butts and what not.

- John GIlchrist and Gary have a good relationship now.

- Terrell Stoglin told Ryan Harrow to meet him after the game so he can beat the shit out of him.

- The game Jeff Allen flipped the bird, Dave Neal had been stickin his finger up Jeff's ass all game.

- Mitch McGary asked Dino if he could wear number 33 at Maryland.

- Gus Gilhchrist regrets not sticking with Maryland

- Tyree Evans was completely Yow's fault.

- And Gary might be Bipolar

With firing of coaches comes transfers. I can believe Tobias Harris and Hopson would transfer or just go to the NBA.

If Tobias decides to transfer and not go to the NBA, you think we could land Tobais?

I can only imagine what basketball is. We really need to focus more on our major sports and yes it is nice to have very successfull lacrosse, field hockey and soccer teams. But  honestly if us having a larger budget for Football and basketball meant not have great field hockey and soccer teams, and having a larger budget for those two meant that we were more succesfull in BBall and football, who here would be that upset?

Karron Johnson, Okla. State part ways Junior college forward Karron Johnson will no longer attend Oklahoma State next season, head coach Travis Ford told The Oklahoman.

"He won't be here, that's all I want to say about it," Ford said.

Johnson was kicked off the basketball team at Midland College in November but had remained enrolled in order to become eligible.

THere is nothing to this but the kid is from richmond,Va, and why not look into it? He is a 6'8 PF and we need one of those...

If any of you live in Fairfax County, I highly encourage you to go watch the Concorde District Chapionship tonight. It Chantilly vs. Herdon 8:45 , There are two players goin to play D-1 ball, John Manning, 6-11 center, All Region and Defensive Player of the year ,from Chantilly is goin to St.Louis and Austin Hamilton 5'11 guard, All-Region, and POY in Condorde and is undecided. Its not as good as the private schools but its right up there. Chantilly only lost to Mater Die and Doron Lamb last year by one point and they have the same team. Also las year at States they had Dorian Finney-Smith and Norcom down by 4 with 2 minutes left but wasnt able to pull it out. Lets just say its much much better BBall than HoCo.

Will only expand to 68 teams!!!!! This is the best news I have heard in a while. I know Gary will be a little upset but I know 99% of the fans are relieved.

I also think this will help the major conference teams. I cant imagine the ncaa putting major conf. teams in play-in games. So it could suck for mid majors in a way.

Maryland Terrapins senior guard Greivis Vasquez calls in to the Mike Wise Show to talk about his career in College Park.

Not like we didnt need any more remembrance of last game but this is some good stuff. He talks about he cant even focus in class or in anything. You could definitely hear the pain in his voice.

Here are the words of sean mosley in a column in the Washington Post today:

"I just know that we're in second [place in the ACC] right now," Mosley said. "That's where it stands until tomorrow, and we just have to come out and play every game as if we're the underdogs. That's how we've been playing the whole season. . . . We beat a lot of good teams this year, and as far as rankings-wise, it's really not a factor to me. We just got to come out and just play.

"I prefer not having a number next to our name and just being Maryland, not No. 25 or No. 24. I just prefer being Maryland and just always continuing to be the underdog."

I always thought that once we had a number next to our name that we didn't show the hustle and energy needed to win a game.
