Drafting (or not) based on too limited of an offense?
This is a weird situation with this draft in that it isn’t so cut and dry as to whom the Kings should pick, but it may be even more bizarre than at first glance...
Is Paul Westphal a Bad Coach? Or is that the wrong question?
So, is PW a good coach for the Kings? Is it time to move on and get somebody else or do we stand pat on him. There are arguments that can be made both ways on this point. Many think that he is a good coach and some argue that he isn’t, but what if it isn’t about him being a good or bad coach?

Shit or Shinola?
It really is all about knowing the difference between the two… It is just raw sewage or has somebody taken a load of shit and done something positive with it. See, this is what I think is the problem with the Maloofs. They have lost the ability to tell the difference. That have gotten so wrapped up in thinking they can spin any issue any way they want and can put out shit instead of shinola.

Corporate sponsors and NBA officials are meeting
Looks like the meeting to discuss deposits in underway and a press conference scheduled for 11 AM

Maloofs, just Stern's pawns?
The NBA and Stern decided to put off what looked like a sure approval for a move, but in reality it was not so sure.
Welcoming the Sacramento Aces?
Ok, bear with me. I think many of us are coming to terms with the loss of the Kings and, while hopeful of something falling apart, consider the Kings as pretty much gone. But I am not here to argue that point.
I am here to discuss alternate options. I believe in concurrent planning so that, if all else fails, there is a back up plan. So here is my back up plan. It is really an alternate option.
Letter to the Commissioner
Hi,
Anybody know where to send a letter to the NBA and, specifically, their commissioner? Below are my thoughts, in letter form, and hopefully in a tone and language that could be heard.

Sacramento Kings on the move to LA Area
Hi All,
I am curious as to how LA Laker fans feel about the Sacramento Kings moving into the area.
Kings provide feasibility documents to Taylor/ICON
Sacbee write up on game and a brief bit on the documents
Sacramento Kings fail to deliver and KJ slams them..
I just don't even know how to take this, but at least they have committed to it next week...
Who gives this team a pulse?
It seems like there are many different dynamics within NBA teams and one of them seems to be a particular player that gives the team intensity. That picks up the energy of the team and keeps it flowing. All teams have talents, but many lack the drive and intensity to win. They lack a pulse.

Red flags for Paul Westphal?
Thanks to Pookeyguru I am posting some thoughts. He asked some questions and I realized that I do have some of the answers.
Let me just say, to start, that I like the nice guy I see in Paul Westphal. He seems like a decent sort of guy. Sense of humor and fairly smart, but this isn't a love fest post about him and it isn't some kind of personal attack either. I will be pointing out some of things he is doing wrong, but it is in the hope that it might help and not hurt the situation. Because the reality is that things are getting pretty damned bad with Demarcus Cousins.

Embrace the Bumps in the Road - NSFW - NSFRNTW
I just have to try and be positive about the rebuilding process. The Kings are rebuilding and it is painful. You log into this site on a daily basis and read negativity. It builds and is further reinforced even further by what you read, but I am here to cheer you up and make the bumps in the road more enjoyable...

Suns and Kings - Takeaway thoughts
Hi All,
I know there is probably more to follow from others, but here are some of my thoughts and reflections from the game.

The Convergence still gets a shot
The city council could have voted to end their chance, but gave them a reprieve. They say they have other potential properties... Wonder if they plan to take over the whole rail yard project.
Latest piece on the Convergence
In reading the comments there is clearly a huge amount of ignorance about this deal.
Update on King's Sacramento Loan
Seems they changed the deal to pay back the NBA loan they took out first, but have been paying their debt.

Steinberg has questions about Arena proposal
Says he will introduce legislation in December if his questions are addressed
Railyard funding in jeopardy
I don't know if this affects the arena plans, but there is a problem with the developer building the roads.
Confessions of a Hater...
See, I know what I was …
Every time HE stepped on the floor I felt the bitter angst of losing past games and turmoil of watching for the potential of it happening it again. The dribbling, shooting, and passing all reminded me of days past and the losses upon losses I felt. The pain of only 17 wins… so many losses…

Latest Arena Update - CalExpo not onboard yet
Proposal to go before CalExpo board for approval. I don't know that this warrants all the drama from channel 13. This had to happen at some point.
Arena plans move forward
The "Sacramento Convergence" development team, which includes Macquarie Capital, would invest $600 to $700 million in private equity and debt in the project.
"I think we stole the draft again (with Cousins)," Maloof said. "I think we got the best player in the draft. I don't know how we did it. I don't know how he didn't go No. 1. We would've taken him No. 1. No doubt about it."
USA Today
"We have needs everywhere, especially at the wing position," Kahn said. "We desperately need wings."
Might be a good thing for the Kings...
(Update shooting %s) Tyreke's stats - Monthly averages
Hi All,
I was kind of wondering what Tyreke's numbers have been and how they have changed since the season began. It seems like he has seriously stepped up his game. I decided to look at his numbers by the month. Just a straight forward look at averages for each month from October through the game against LA, March 16th.
I found it interesting and thought you might as well.

Losing the Battle of the Bigs, we just Lose
There seems to be a consistent theme in a lot of the recent games. We seem to lose the battle of the bigs all too often and the opposing team’s bigs, who are often duds, just look like studs and all-stars look like rock stars.
