While we wait for the flush of MB, the sound of modern flushing will not invade hallowed Wrigley.

Trib reports the troughs will survive any bathroom renovation.

As disgusting as they seem, efficiency has its place and I will nominate a ballpark, stadium, or arena as a place where efficiency is most treasured. Whether a beer drinker or not, we all wait as long as possible before...

Modern urinals spaced like at the United Center would occupy 4-5 customers over 20 feet of wall space. Historical pig feed devices like the ones at Wrigley can fit as many manly men in a row as shoulders will fit.

Disgusting? Perhaps. Efficient? Absolutely!!!

Fox discusses:

The pressure he felt from the fans and press upon his call up.

How tight and unhappy the locker room was on arrival.

How much happier and looser the team is now.

His improved fielding and linking the improvement to mental segregation of hitting and fielding and not letting one carry over to the other.

Trial by fire in conversion from full time catcher to part time LF and begging a glove off Cliff Floyd.

My $.02 is this guy has big personality and hope his take on fielding is accurate. Apologies for the Score link, but I heard it on the way in to the office.

Nothing new for anyone already converted, but good reading for the rest of us.

I have nothing against Eckstein, but wouldn't Ronny "Boom Boom" Cedeno be more interesting to the Padres.

Everyone knows exacty what Eckstein brings, but is no long term solution. Ronny has some potential upside and could become something given the chance to play, elsewhere.

Cedeno has no real spot with the Cubs, why can't Hendry at least get something for the Pads for him?
