Managing Madrid So sick of losing to Barcelona!

I can't stand it any longer. It seems that no matter how good of a run we are going into this games that our team always folds and loses to them.

It has come to the point were after years of talking trash to my friends who are Barca fans that I dont even bother or respond to their trash talk attempts.

Another thing is that we always used to get together to watch the game at a local taproom or someone's house, I don't even bother anymore.

This time around the confidence was high and I talked a bit before the game and then we score the opening goal in a matter of seconds. Then look what happens.

I am sick of being Barca's b*itch.

Why does this always happen and what can we possibly do to fix this for good?

Managing Madrid Why no recent Neymar talk?

In the recent news this week Neymar is set to join our squad for £53 million in July of next year.

From what I hear Santos is denying it but I'm hearing different.

This is going to be a sick addition when it happens.

How do you folks think he will fit in?

Do you think he will serve a starting role off the bat or be used as a energetic sub bringing a dynamic presence into the already ongoing match?

Are we not allowed to talk about Maclin rumors?

Apparently something is going around that he may have bone cancer. Instead of this being a discussion board it was magically deleted. - From JasonB - No, we will not be promoting completely baseless made up internet rumors about something serious that not one single reputable news source has reported. Just like we didn't talk about those stupid Asante Samuel for Patrick Willis "rumors." Because it's all fake. In fact, when you say "Apparently something is going around" that's a really good sign that it's not real.

America's Team?

They haven't won a super Bowl in the last 15 years, 1 win better than the Bills, a gabillion dollar stadium, a boat load of talent that doesn't produce, and the Detroit Lions have a better record. Anyone down for giving Dallas a new nickname? One more thing, I have not seen 1 piece of douchbag Dallas paraphernalia or clothing strutting around the Philadelphia area this season.

Daily Norseman Pats say 'there is no (Moss) trade'

Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that the Patriots are saying "there is no trade."  In this regard, conjugation could be critical.  They're not saying "there will be no trade."  They're only saying "there is no trade."  And Glazer hasn't reported that there "is" a trade.

Rapoport also reports that he's told a trade is not "done," but he confirms that a trade is being discussed.

Albert Breer, formerly of the Boston Globe and now with NFL Network (congrats, by the way, Mr. Breer) reports that "no one is shooting this down, when given the chance to" and "[s]omething's happening."

Confused_woman_guide_01

So I'm coming out of Wawa and I see this lady getting out of her SUV parked next to my car. The thing is covered in Dallas Cowboy decals.

I walked by non-chalont and she looks at me and I say "How many times have you been to Dallas?".

She stops and looks all confused. I kept walking, got in my car, and left.

Bleeding Green Nation Better Eagles RB - Montgomery or Westbrook?

Better Eagles RB - Montgomery or Westbrook?

I was never able to watch Montgomery play because i was extremely young so I am not sure how he affected the team in regards to leadership, production, etc.

Here are some career statistics.

Wilbert Montgomery
Carries: 1,540
Rushing Yards: 6,789
Average per carry: 4.4
Rush TDs: 45
Recieving Yards: 2,502
Recieving TDs:12
Total TDs: 57

======================

Brian Westbrook
Carries: 1,308
Rushing Yards: 5,995
Average per carry: 4.6
Rush TDs: 37
Recieving Yards: 3,790
Recieving TDs: 29
Total TDs: 66

Is Westbrook considered the greatest Eagles RB of all time?

Bleeding Green Nation D-Jack (1WR) , Cooper (2WR), Maclin (Slot)?

Ok, I may be jumping the gun here but just want to know what you think.

This Riley Cooper guy.

Great size, toughness, and although he does not look like he has the speed of say a DeSean or TO when he was with the Eagles, he sure does look like an NFL starting WR.

So far it looks like Desean 1, Maclin 2, and Avant in the slot.

Could you see Desean 1, Cooper 2, and Maclin in the slot? With Avant stepping in periodically as a sub and on 4 WR sets?

Remember I am not saying that this should happen now but more of just asking what your thoughts are and if you could see this happening this year or next year.

Bleeding Green Nation Can Kolb Be The Next Aaron Rodgers?

It was Aaron Rodgers vs. Brett Favre all over again. With the Philadelphia Eagles looking to move forward and to their future with a trade of their veteran quarterback to the Washington Redskins, they turned to their young quarterback who had been waiting in the wings.

The only question is, can Kevin Kolb make the kind of fantasy impact in his first year that Aaron Rodgers did when Green Bay traded Favre in 2008?

Unlikely, but it’s hard to deny that the potential is definitely there. And really, arguably more-so than it was for Rodgers.

Green Bay was still a pass-first team with great offenses weapons, but their offensive line was (and still is) a bit shaky, and it’s extremely arguable that Kolb is walking into an offense with much more explosive passing options.

Liberty Ballers Please shed some light on Meeks

Meeks did really good at the end of last year. However the 76ers were pretty much not in a good condition and somewhat pulling for lottery positioning.

Do you think he could start or last year was just a fluke and he was playing in scrub time?

I myself do not think he will average over 12 minutes per game next year.

He might break the lineup a little more but I highly doubt it unless we are hobbled by injuries.

If Flyers win title.....

How ticked and jealous will the Eagles Front Office be? I know there was been rumors of them not being too happy with all the Phillies success. What's happens if Flyers now bring the city a Championship?

Liberty Ballers Chances Washington selects Evan Turner?

I really think there is about at least a 35% chance this pick Turner. Not much but still a chance.

Flip Suanders did an interview with Dan Patrick and he was talking about Wall and Arenas both being like 6'3. He said that Turner would be an obvious SG and that with Wall they would be smaller at the 1-2 guard spots.

I really like Turner and love how we dont need to worry about lineup shuffling if Turner comes.

If Wall falls we must take him. But then we need to figure out something with Jrue and him in the lineup. I sorta dont like this.

Thoughts?

Daily Norseman Farve told player: "100 percent positive" he's retiring

Brett Favre is saying publicly that he hasn't made up his mind about whether he'll play in 2010. But he reportedly told another player privately that he's finished playing. Peter King of SI.com reports that after the season, Favre told a fellow NFL player whom he knows well that he's definitely done. "I'm 100 percent positive I'll never put on pads again in my life," Favre told the unnamed player, according to King. However, as King astutely points out, that doesn't mean much because Favre changes his mind all the time. He probably sincerely meant it when he said he was 100 percent positive he would retire. And a few days later he was probably 100 percent positive he would return.

Behind the Steel Curtain Former player Scott Paxson

Can someone tell me about him and how he got a ring? I dont know him personally but I do know him because he is from my neighborhood. It's his hometown. I know he was a great player at Penn State and I thought he was going to be a highly drafted player.

I don't recall ever hearing about him in the NFL like on TV and what not but I notice on his Facebook page that he is constantly flaunting a Steelers Super Bowl ring. Was he on the team the full year of 2006?

I look at his wiki page and it says he is on the Steelers from 2006-present. I don't think this is correct.

Bleeding Green Nation McNabb robs a Bank

A man wearing a Donovan McNabb Eagles jersey held up a bank in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said. About 2:30 p.m. the bandit strode into the PNC bank branch at 6855 Frankford Avenue and threatened a teller with violence. "He said he had a weapon and was going to use it," said FBI spokesman J.J. Klaver. The man made no attempt to hide his face from the bank's surveillance cameras. "These are probably the best bank robbery pictures we've seen," Klaver said. The bandit - who is considered armed and dangerous - is described as a white male, about 45-years-old and stands about 5-foot-8. He has closely cropped dark salt-and-pepper hair and is clean shaved.
