To anyone who's unaware, the Broncos 7th annual FanFair is this Saturday at Invesco Field. Since there isn't much information online regarding the Broncos Fanfair, I figured I'd break out a fan post for anyone who's interested.

Last year's event was my first time attending, and opposed to this year, it was a two day event. They've trimmed the event down to one day with extended hours, so I can't truly say if the information below will be consistent with what goes on this year. Anyway, a few things I learned last year are below the jump..

 Autographs

I am not much of an autograph hunter, but FanFair is a great time to try and get some signatures. Attempting to get a specific player is pretty difficult, though. They have several autograph stations throughout the stadium, and the players rotate between them. Each station has it's own line, and often the lines last year were long enough that one or two groups of players would rotate through while you were waiting with other fans.

If you want to get some of the top players, the best advice I was given was to get autographs first thing in the morning. Last year it seemed like most of the starters did their sessions in the morning, and it thinned out as the day went on. There were some exceptions though, but it just depended on the line you were in. There also was a Bronco legend/alumni autograph station as well.

Events

There is a LOT to do at FanFair, and it really runs the gamut from family events to football nerd Q&A's. The best things for kids by far was the on-field activities. Last year they had inflatable activities for the kids on the field, and a kid specific autograph station.

via beerpongjunky.com

They let the big kids (adults) onto the field ONLY at the end of the day last year, and you could try to kick a field goal or catch a punt. It's safe to say that I am no Eddie Royal when it comes to fielding punts, but I did have a blast getting on the field.

For the MHR group, they had Q&A's with the coaches last year, and I hope they do the same. Prior to my X's and O's indoctrination at MHR, I wasn't nearly as interested in this aspect of the game, but I'll be seeking these events out this year.

There's a ton of memoribilia at FanFair, and most of the concourses have booths set up from various sports memoribilia companies. Think a mall card show, but Broncos/Colorado specific. There are also several places where you can win prizes. Last year they had a Comcast Broncos Quizshow in section 104, and Broncos Bingo on the Club Level.

I hope this helps my fellow Broncoholics. It really is a great event for Broncos fans. If nothing else, just seeing the trophies gives you a warm feeling for the upcoming season.

Report: Moss and Crowder on the Block

We all knew that McD was changing it up on D this year, but I have to admit that this little piece of news surprised me over at NFP. In a post about KC trying to move down in the draft, it says that the Broncos are actively shopping Tim Crowder and Jarvis Moss.

I am not really sure if there is much value for either player, but if there's one constant this year, it's change.

I still have to question whether a late round pick (which is my estimate of their worth) is enough to let these guys go. But apparently McD doesn't see them in the Broncos future.
