1. Marcus Allen (Chiefs) vs. Raiders, 1993
The relationship that started with the drafting of the Hall of Fame running back in 1982, and grew stronger through an MVP season in 1985 and an AFC title game appearance in 1990, began to sour at the turn of the decade as injuries -- and Davis -- relegated Allen to a backup role, a fate Allen refused to accept. Davis, who saw Allen as a "cancer" in the locker room, eventually allowed him to leave after the 1992 season after repeated trade demands. Allen would team up with Joe Montana and sign with division-rival Kansas City.

Allen's Chiefs soundly beat Davis' Raiders twice in 1993, victories that helped Kansas City win its first AFC West title in a dozen years and finish one game ahead of the Raiders in the standings. Allen rushed for a pair of touchdowns in those games (on goal-line carries, something Davis said Allen could no longer do) and finished with 15 on the season en route to being named Comeback Player of the Year.

"I think (Davis) tried to ruin the latter part of my career, tried to devalue me," Allen was later quoted as saying. "He tried to stop me from going to the Hall of Fame."

Arrowhead Pride Chiefs v. Chargers - A Gut Check

Well, it's almost time for the regular season to begin. As you all know, we are facing an age-old rival in the Chargers. Many of us feel that we must win this game. I am one of those people who feel that we need to win this game. It will bring back a lot of optimism to KC. As a matter of fact, we all have a good amount of optimism now!

Well, maybe a little too much optimism.

Some of us think we are guaranteed to go 8-8. Some of us have gone the extra mile and think we will go 10-6 or higher and make the playoffs. Many say it all starts with us winning this game. Well, I think we need to stop drinking Kool-Aid and calm that down...

In other words, I'm gonna water down your Kool-Aid...

Arrowhead Pride Random Thoughts

Hello Everyone. Got some...thoughts to share...

1. We have a disgusting trend this year. After our first win, we had a complete dismantling. Then, we have a 2 game win streak. THEN, we have a 2 game dismantling streak.

2. The Herm curse may be real. Every time we found out he chose us to win, we get outmanned, outcoached, and outplayed.

3. "The Chiefs are who we thought they were. Do not be misled"....Unfortunately, I was. I was even thinking that very statement after we beat the Steelers, but was still misled.

4. Our division rivals have our number. We nearly got swept by the Raiders.

5. This week is gonna be hell.

6. This loss hurts. Not only did we lose on DT's day, but the Raiders made it worse by winning at Heinz, therefore dropping us to 4th in the AFC West and making our win against the Steelers umimpressive.

7. I think we gave up 400 yards in like 8 of the 12 games played this year.

8. We are done with 3 quarters of the season. 0-4, 1-3, 2-2. Can we possibly go 3-1 this quarter?  Most likely not. The Bills may dismantle us like last year. The Browns did better against the Chargers than we did. The Bengals are obviously better than everyone in their division(6-0 in AFC North, nuff said). I absolutely dread playing the Broncos in Denver.

9. KCporkchop may have to spike my Kool-Aid to make me feel good.

10. Love the Chiefs, and I hope we haven't given up yet.

I may add more thoughts as they randomly pop up.

Arrowhead Pride Looking Ahead: Why we can't lose to the Raiders

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I have posted here.

Soooo...why we can't lose to the Raiders...

1. Bitter Rivals- I think the Raiders are the most bitter of our rivals. I hate losing to them and I am sure all of you do. They have beat us before, but we haven't been swept by them for years. Why? Because we beat them in Oakland for 6 straight years now. I think that's as long as I have been a Chief fan.

2. Ranked 31st against the Run- I'm glad LJ is gone. What I am still worried about is if Haley realizes the Raiders are 31st against the run (allowing 161 rush YPG) and ranked pretty well against the pass. Its obvious what must be done. Get Jamaal Charles, who currently averages 5.2 YPC, the ball. Last game, he got 6 YPC, so simple math should tell Haley that he needs to let him rush for more than 6 times a game.

3. Oakland Offense- Yes, both of our offenses are inept. We even somehow average more points per game than the Raiders. (Like 15.1 PPG to their, like, 9.6 PPG) The Raiders also have a mistake prone QB. What does scare me, sorta, is: Will we be able to stop their run? Is Chaz Schilens really that important? WILL WE MAKE HEYWARD-BEY LOOK LIKE AN ALL-STAR?  I think this battle of ineptitude will be enjoyable.

4. Chiefs Defense- Yea our D sucks. Mike Brown has been the heartache of us all, but we shouldn't completely blame him. What I would like to see is DJ. He makes plays on a consistent basis when he plays. He would be useful. I would also like McGraw back. Let's remember that we did outgain the Raiders like 402-166 total yards, I think.

5. Penalties and Turnovers- Penalties and turnovers is what ruined us, but Cassel is pretty careful with the ball, except the Charger and earlier Raider game. The Charger game was bad and simply inexcusable. The Raider game was Cassel's first game back, so I think he was just rusty. Hopefully we can fix this. Remember that we had 1 PENALTY LAST GAME.

All in all, I feel we can win if we run the ball, don't turnover, and don't commit mental mistakes. Oh, and Haley needs to start doing stuff that works.

Side note: A win in Oakland on Sunday will make us the first team in NFL history for an away team to win 7 consecutive games in another team's venue. The Chargers are also at 6 straight wins in Oakland. LETS BREAK A RECORD!

If you can afford it, go to Arrowhead. What I do want to see are tears of joy at Arrowhead this Sunday. I know that it isn't very possible, maybe impossible, but a fan can dream, can't he?

GO CHIEFS.

Arrowhead Pride We already know...

I am a Kansas City Chief fan from NJ. Hello everyone...anyway...

Just want to say some things.

We already know that our team is bad.

We  already know that we are 0-3.

We already know that the Eagles game was horrible.

We already know that our team lacks discipline.(19 penalties in last 2 games)

We already know how bad our schedule is at the moment.

We already know that this season is looking worse and worse.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do we know that Todd Haley and Scott Pioli got here a few months ago?

Do we know that in the Raider home game last year, we allowed like 300 yards rushing alone, but this year, allowed like 166 yards total?

Do we know that a team can't turn around as easily as the Dolphins or Falcons did? Side note: Fins are 0-3.

Most importantly, do we know that constantly reminding the fans how bad a team is, as if they don't already know, is the most annoying s#!t ever??

Seriously...is there nothing positive that we can find to say...?
