Defensive end Maurice Fountain, the oldest guy in camp at 29, was carted off the field during afternoon practice with a right leg injury. Fountain graduated from Clemson in 2005 and has bounced around the UFL, Arena1 and Arena2 before spending some time last year on the Seahawks’ practice squad. Fountain (@MoeEasy) tweeted Sunday night that he had torn his right patella tendon, adding, "Prayers are appreciated!"

Eagles GM Howie Roseman was "evasive" when asked about Brent Celek's health (shoulder and hernia surgeries) this week.
We've heard nothing about Celek's health since his January operations, and the Inquirer considers his progress "an issue worth keeping an eye on." In the absence of evidence to the contrary, Celek should tentatively be expected to be ready for camp.

Eagles unlikely to add a veteran safety or running back
I'm not a huge fan of this, but with the draft we just had, I am not about complain. I think Joseph Addai and Justin Forsett would be great, as would Yeremiah Bell, but I trust Howie this offseason. What do you think?
Juiced Sports Day Two Mock Draft
Hey guys, just wrote this up for tomorrow's two rounds. Some surprise in there for ya.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport still expects embattled North Alabama CB Janoris Jenkins to be a top-15 pick.
"But that's just a hunch," Rapoport concedes. A recent rumor circulated that the Eagles could be the team to take him, and they pick at No. 15. Per Rapoport, "word from scouts and personnel people" is that they don't think Jenkins is a "bad guy," despite his fondness for marijuana and baby creation.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport "keeps hearing" the Eagles may trade up to No. 11 if QB Ryan Tannehill is still on the board.
There's no telling if the Eagles' interest in Tannehill is serious; other speculation has them trading up to No. 7 for DT Fletcher Cox. It could be a moot point anyway. ESPN's Rachel Nichols, live at Dolphins headquarters, reports Miami's "most likely pick" at No. 8 will be Tannehill. The Miami Herald reports, however, that the Dolphins have spoken to at least three teams about trading down in the first round.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane, the Eagles are willing to accept just a fifth- or sixth-round pick in exchange for CB Asante Samuel.
I messed up, I really messed up
The old adage is "don't fall in love with a prospect," but alas, I have fallen in love with not one, but two prospects in this draft. To make matters worse, I don't think we'll get either one and I am not sold on anyone else at the 15th pick. You may say trade back, but this draft is so wide-open to me, that I really don't know how much we'd get in return or who we'd pick.
#Eagles and #Browns will open up wk 1 at 1pm #NFL

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Eagles and Rams are both "believed to be" interested in trading up to the Browns' pick at No. 4 overall.
The Plain Dealer gives the Browns a "decent chance" of trading out of No. 4. "At least three or four" clubs drafting in the top 20 have reportedly phoned Cleveland, with St. Louis and Philadelphia thought to be among them. The Eagles could be targeting Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill, while the Rams may be eyeing LSU CB Morris Claiborne or Alabama RB Trent Richardson. One source told Browns beat reporter that the Kansas City Chiefs "would probably not trade up" for Tannehill. It's believed no trade for the No. 4 pick would occur until draft day. Keep in mind this story is coming out of Cleveland, and may have been leaked by the Browns to generate interest in the fourth pick.

May be crazy, but this is my Big Board for the 2012 NFL Draft (TOP 100)
Hey guys, I wrote this for the website I work for called Juiced Sports (juicedsportsblog.com) and just thought I'd share it with you so I didn't waste a Fanshot. I want some debate as I know a lot of my choices don't match your's but lets get to it. I only did Top 100 because I feel going any further, I wouldn't be able to debate accurately. If you don't like something, please explain why.

Maclin gives confirmation on why he was out 4 games.
I guess it was cancer after all. I am proud to have him on our team, the way he handled all of this. I think this will be a break out year for him.
My latest mock for Juiced Sports
This is post-Jason Peters ruptured Achilles injury, so it's current.
Whole bunch of Roseman answers including Asante, Back-up RB
Sounds like Asante may want to leave more than we want to let him go. I like that they mentioned Joseph Addai, he's my favorite for our back up RB.
Michael Boley to move to MLB for the Giants...because, well, there's no one else
Pretty unintentionally hilarious if you ask me. Then again...they won a Super Bowl.
LeSean deal could be tricky for both sides
I think they'll eventually get something done, but not exactly awesome news from Domo.
Bears RB Marion Barber, expected to be released, is reportedly drawing interest from the Rams and Eagles.
The Patriots reportedly hosted free agent DT Trevor Laws last Saturday.

Post-Ryans Trade Mock
With all or most of us smitten over what Andy and Co. just did with a 4th round pick and a 3rd round flip flop, it's time to reflect on what this move does for our draft positioning and our needs...and more importantly how successful this trade was from a standpoint of keeping key draft picks. Between the Jackson and Mathis resignings and the Ryans trade, the Eagles have completely changed their needs headed into the draft and have established a sense of continuity and new sense of leadership to this team.
Wesley Woodyard resigns with Denver
Another one bites the dust at LB, but at least the market is starting to move.
Sucks to be a Dolphins fan
David Garrard and Matt Moore will compete to be the starting QB in 2012.
Big pickup: Bengals reached agreement with safety Reggie Nelson. Jets now will need to look elsewhere.
With $6.515 million cap savings thanks to DeSean long-term deal, looks like the Eagles now have $22,385,000 available under their adj. cap.

Nate Livings' big deal with the Cowboys
This probably puts them out of the DeCastro game. If we don't resign our boy Evan, he's a possibility.
Ended season well with the Eagles. RT @JasonLaCanfora: Juqua Parker agrees to terms with the Browns 1yr, max of $3M
NFL Network reports that Marques Colston has resigned with the Saints. It's a five-year deal. May factor into the timing of Desean's deal.
