I am running a DMB league with a few unique twists. The most unique twist is the opportunity to protect new players to the database from your home organization. I have recently lost the Giants owner and am looking for someone who is invested in the team because the format begs for that. If you are an experienced DMB player or someone that has wanted to give it a try, please drop me a line at dmbbaseball027@gmail.com

Here is the roster of the team right now...

If this is not an acceptable post in your community, then please just delete it, and I am sorry to bother you, but the uniqueness of my request led me here to your site. Good Luck to the Giants in the coming year.

Who would you take and why?

This is the first round of our DMB draft and I am very conflicted. It is open to 2008 MLB draft and foreign FA signed in the last year.

1. Marlins - Junichi Tazawa
2. Angels - Eric Hosmer
3. Cardinals - Pedro Alvarez
4. Pirates - Buster Posey
5. Rangers - Justin Smoak
6. Blue Jays - Brian Matusz
7. Yankees - Timothy Beckham
8. Reds - Brett Wallace
9. White Sox - Gordon Beckham
10. Tigers - Aaron Hicks
11. Cardinals - Yonder Alonso
12. White Sox - Dayan Viciedo
13. Dodgers - Michael Inoa
14. Nationals - Ethan Martin
15. Braves - David Cooper
16. Indians - Jemile Weeks
17. Phillies - Kyle Skipworth
18. Cardinals - Tim Melville
19. Royals - Andrew Cashner
20. Red Sox - Michael Montgomery
21. White Sox - Jaff Decker
22. Cubs- Brett Lawrie
23. Giants - Jason Castro
24.
I know there have to be people like me who didn't get a chance to follow the minor league season as well as they would have liked to for one reason or another and have questions about what happened to certain prospects. I figured there is a diverse community of people here who could pool their info on their favorite organizations to help answer the questions. Instead of having a bunch of seperate threads, this would be a good place to ask about a guy who had a down year or some sort of injury to see what people know.

Can anyone give me the story on this guy. He was pitching for Stockton, but it appears he is back in the Mexican leagues. Do the A's still own the rights to Leon? He appeared to pitch well and I know at one point there was talk that he would shoot right up to the majors. I know they have a packed system, but I am not aware of any other case of a player playing in the Mexican leagues while still being under control of a major league team.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Jarrett Hoffpauir

Anyone have any insight on Hoffpauir. I really only know what I see on the stats page. I see that he is absolutely torturing left handed pitchers and it is pulling his numbers up considerably. I wonder if he has the ability to be a Rob Quinlan type hitter, or does he have the defensive chops to turn that platoon split into a full time job as a second baseman. His OBP has been great all year and the Cards aren't exactly running all star guys out in the middle infield.
