I have been a proud Viking fan for nearly 30 years. Now as a proud father of 2 wonderful boys I can say that the tradition of cheering for the Vikings in Northern New Mexico will live on!

2011 Vikings Review: Offense

Interesting read. Depressing, but interesting. It's fair.

I’m not the only one noticing the excellent job Frazier and his staff are doing with this year’s North team. "The Minnesota coaches are real," Nebraska cornerback Alfonzo Denard told Wiederer. "Coach Frazier put a lot of fire in our eyes. I like the way he talks. He let us know this was a big step and that we need to go hard every play all day long to stand out." The North squad players are not the only individuals standing out. Frazier and his staff are standing out as a passionate and talented group of coaches. Coming off a 3-13 season, the Vikings have a lot of holes to fill on the roster and a lot of improvement to make overall. If their performance during Senior Bowl practices this week is any indication, the Vikings coaching staff is already hard at work. --Mike Wobchall, vikings.com

Concussions won't end Abdullah's career yet

+

"I can’t tell you how relieved I was coming back to Minnesota on Thursday," Abdullah said. "I went out there hoping and praying I was going to be fine and that my career would continue, but not knowing. Now I feel like I’ve been given that chance again and all I can say is that there has been a sense of relief that’s hard to explain. I get to keep playing the game I love."

The Tyler Thigpen Theory

Here's an interesting little piece by scout.com's John Holler. While it might seem far-fetched, it does paint a nice little picture about how the Triangle of Authority operated during the Childress years, and even under Frazier's leadership. Interesting read.

Ponder confident he'll play against Detroit

"I'm confident that I'll be able to go. I think it's a matter of my effectiveness," Ponder said. "I don't know how effective I'll be. I would like to think I'd be playing 100 percent, but I don't know if that's 100 percent true. We'll see." -Christian Ponder on playing against Detroit this weekend

Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe said Ponder is making him excited, and there's no reason to hide it. "With a QB, poise is definitely important, and confidence," Shiancoe said. "Confidence in himself, confidence in the other players around him, especially the line. And it seems like he has a lot of confidence in both areas. Which has given us confidence in his abilities, as well, and making us play a little bit more and helping him out."
