Spagnuolo/Heckert Package Deal
Just saw this over at PFT. The important bit:
[The Broncos] could be interested in a package deal that includes Spagnuolo and Eagles GM Tom Heckert, according to a league source.
Some background:
Spagnuolo and Heckert spent six seasons together in Philadelphia. Heckert has been a candidate for general manager jobs the last few years and acts primarily as an adviser to Eagles coach Andy Reid, who has final say on personnel decisions.
I don't know much about Heckert, except that he has been the Sundquist to the Eagle's Shanahan (Andy Reid).
What would Heckert's hire mean for the Goodmans and Xander?
I drool over the potential coaching/personnel package that would deliver an explosive 4-3 blitzing scheme.
