To turf or not to turf...

It looks as if BSU denied a license to a high school/Division 2 college to install blue turf. Was this a good move to protect the Bronco brand, or is it going too far? Sound off Nuggies!

All MWC Team

Since nothing of interest has been going on in Bronco Nation this week, I thought I'd post this so we can all complain about how Matt Miller and Shane Williams-Rhodes deserve more than honorable mentions.

Let's Get Angry!

Bronco Nation appears to have lost its collective mind...and why not? After all, none of us really like or are used to losing games, much less three before the end of October. It seems that this...

Austin Sefarian-Jenkins is out.

Good for Sark for doing the right thing...I, like others, would have liked the challenge of trying to shut him down, but this is bigger than football. H/t BT Blue, who posted link in a comment section.

Chicago Tribune's Immediate Reaction to Shea

It's funnny how everyone thought he'd go to a 3-4 team, but the Bears seem to be believers.

The Oldest Man Ever to don a BSU Uniform

Chadd Cripe linked this article about Thomas Byrd to his write up on FB's and TE's yesterday, so some of you may have seen this already. If not, it's a quick read and it's nice to know that Byrd continues to impact the game at some level.

Oh good, the future is uncertain!

I'm not usually one for speculating much, but I found this piece interesting...basically they're saying that between the BCS reboot and the ridiculous MWC-CUSA merger, there could be a case for BSU and SDSU to stay put instead of going to the Big East. I'm not really sure I buy the logic here, but it's interesting...

If anyone sees this guy...

Okay, okay, it's not a BSU story...but I have a personal interest here, my beloved Nuggies. Here's the deal...I'm coming to Boise for the first time in four years tomorrow. If A-Rod is still hanging around, let him know that I'll be tracking him down...I have a bone to pick with him about his performance in the ALDS.

Dan Wetzel's proposal for a "plus-one" model

Of course he is quick to state that the proposal isn't acutally a "plus-one", but a small playoff...it's just that those in power don't like the word "playoff". It's an interesting setup that he describes...I think the biggest hurdle is getting fans to travel to neutral sites on two consecutive weeks (Wetzel, of course prefers using home stadiums, but doesn't think it's likely to happen). Of course, Mr. Wetzel still is in favor of a 16-team plan...Death to the BCS!

Boring...but still annoying

The following quote is the one that annoys me: "A 48-21 win at UNLV Saturday night—with Kellen Moore throwing five touchdowns and passing ex-Texas star Colt McCoy as college football’s winningest quarterback—wasn’t enough to push the No. 5 Broncos any higher in the AP Top 25 despite No. 2 Alabama losing at home. That’s partially because Alabama went down in overtime to No. 1 LSU, but it’s also because Boise State (8-0) wasn’t fully convincing in its win over the Rebels." Same old double standards...it gets so annoying. We win by four TD's (with the missed PAT), and it's "just not convincing enough" while Alabama can't even score a TD and is deemed worthy of their ranking. It makes me sick.

Who (aside from Coach Pete) has more class than Kellen Moore?

This comes from a Seattle radio interview. Kellen, not surprisingly, says all the right things. It would be kind of fun though if just once, he said something like, "Broncos Rule! BW the BCS! We'll give any team a beatdown!" Just sayin'...
