He came up and played well for awhile before the wrath of Torts and the idea of playing 82 regular season games struck him down.

Mediocre defensemen with good offensive potential, but his size and lack of experience is working against him. Grit and guts was never an issue, but playing your position on D came up a few times....and not in a good way'

Fun player to watch, but the last few weeks, he looked terrified of making a mistake and getting benched by Torts. No one can play with the coach looking over your shoulder every shift.

Kids got talent, how about we move him up to roving forward and see what he can do before Torts and Sather banish him or trade him for a second round draft pick ten years down the line.

I would hate to see this kid cast aside like Peter Prucha and Manny Malholtra.

So what do we do with this kid?

Our coach Sucks.

Kills the young kids mojo,,,,,(Ask MDZ, Avery, Zuccs and Gilroy and many more not on our team anymore....have Pruccha, how Arizona?)

Torts make no adjustments during the game....keeps the same game plan that get us NO WHERE.

He gets out coached 80 percent of the time.

Sure, we have a ton of young player, and I love that fact....most never stop skating and banging.

But then you have the Torts factor.....one bad play and you never see the ice again, or get sent down to the Whale

Why have four lines and only three will play in the third period

We have a one demensional game....dump the puck in low and cycle the puck down low and pray.

Every team is ready for this approach,and it is not working

Once again out power play is missing in action...Four game with next to nothing to show for it,,,,should we decline the PP?...we do play better short handed

We play better shorthanded.......

Gabrorick is horrible down low, coughs up the puck like a three pack smoker every time. Our best player should not be along the boards fighting for the puck, he should be out front, stick on ice at all times.

If Torts is still coach next year, trade Gabby for a bag of pucks and use change for the toll booths. Gabby should never be behind the goal line,,,hard to score from there and he never wins a battle for the puck behind the goal line battle

Gabby is not a grinder, he is (was) a scorer....

Put Boyle and,Avery, and Prust in front on the power play to create havoc, run their goalie once every other game and stop our defensemen from backing up and allowing the other teams forwards into our zone 

The King did almost everything again, yet still lost,,,,,,,,

Out played, out coached and no new game plan for out team since Ootober....like watching paint dry and seeing bubbles in the pant........boring as a Devil type of game

So, let not hear hoe'd Torts is a Jack Adams finalist...I need the laughs, but John is a liability

Buffalo name us scouted perfectly.....we chased the puck all night and did not score again.

For those of you not in the Tri State area, MSG was once again blacked out for the Ranger/Montreal game.

The NHL Channel hijacked the game and we forced to listen to Pierre McGuire rant about mindless garbage for nearly THREE HOURS.

This idiot makes Chico looks good.

After Prusts' fight at the start of the game, Pierre started mocking Ranger fans for chanting USA....and he had to state that Prust is Canadian......while this may be true....the Rangers are a US team.....something that Pierre could not wrap his head around.

Lost count after Ten times, but Pierre thought it was worth nothing that Montreal was playing the back end of back to back games.

Pierre also could not help himself in constantly pointing out that Montreal had some KEY players missing.

Not once did Lucky Pierre mention all the games lost to injury this year that the Rangers have suffered.

By the third period, most people had to turn the volume down or face certain brain damage from this Pro Canadian blow hard.

If this is the best the NHL/Versus and NBC can do, I truly hope ESPN can once again broadcast the NHL in a non partisan way, or at the very least, let the regional sports networks broadcast the games......

Dan Girardi missed the first game of his NHL career after 330 straight......

After all the shots this guy has stopped over the the past few years, how can this stat be true?

I've seen baseball players on the DL for a hangnail, yet Girardi does his job night after night, with little fanfare.

Half way thru the season, and half the team is injured and out.

The kids from the "Whale" have played great....nice to see the farm system step up....

But come on, how many players can this team lose.

Still not sure why Del Zotto is still in the minors.......move Gilroy up front and free MDZ from the Torts prison in the minors.

Still, like to watch the kids play, and play well.....

One final thought, I was not a Prust fan last year, but he never stops moving, hitting and taking on every tough guy in the league....Regarding Prust, I am glad I was wrong....same could be said for Boyle.

Take a look at the league standings around the NHL

Only about Four teams are playing very well at home so far this year.

Most teams, are getting their points on the road....and this includes the Rangers as well.

I know we have discussed the thought, that the fans at MSG are hurting the team by booing,

but after watching last nights game against St. Louis, they should be booed.

Why would a team play better on the road?

Home team gets last line change....

Home team gets the face off advantage and the fan support.

This is not just a Ranger's problem.....look at the stats....most teams are getting more points on the road than at home.

Totally confused......but then again.....I am a Ranger's fan after all.

Kid is strong on the puck.

Has great hands,

Does not stop skating.

Drives to the net, instead of pulling up and making the dump in pass.

IS FUN TO WATCH.......

Been awhile since I have seen a Rangers' Rookie this good playing up front.

Not 100 percent sure,  he can play the full 82 game in the NHL this year, but let the kid play....

I think this kid has heart, and this team could use all the scoring it can get.

What we haven't admitted to, is the fact we have NO CLUE about how the new season will unfold.

About the only thing we agree on, is the Rangers will most likely miss the palyoffs for a second year running.

This team has done little to improve on last year.......but I am happy we did not go out and throw away tons of money on older, slower mid level players....let the kids play and really see what we have......

We need scoring form all the top three lines (I am dreaming here) and our "D" is young (except for Reddon and Rozival)

Our goal tender is among the best in the league and his back up is fine.

But, once again.....what do we know......how many of you freaked out when we traded Amonte at the end of 94' or paniced when we picked Richter over VBK in nets?

Only perdiction I have is this team must play better, or heads will start to roll.....Dolan likes the playoff cash way too much and Tort's job is on the line....as for Sather, look both ways before crossing 7th Avenue Glen.

IF................. this does not prove Glen Sather is a complete idiot, what will?

Trading a former first round draft pick for more draft picks is pathetic.

As fans, we are stuck in limbo until either Sather gets fired or he drops dead (I vote the second option)

Now, Sather decides he wants to play hardball with Mark Stael.....

Sather's ego is so big, I am amazed he can get his fat head thru the door.

I think we can all agree that our team needs to make a bunch of changes this off season.

So, let's visit the coaching.

Reeney was a good coach, but a better teacher.

Tort's is a bully, who loves to intimidate his player's.....and to be fair, he has had success in Tampa Bay winning a Chamionship a few years ago. But, I have noticed that the past two years, the fire has been missing from Tort's....where is the vein popping, stroke inducing, screaming at refs that was his trade mark years ago?

My main problem with Tort's is that he will punish some players for dumb mistakes, yet let other player completely off the hook for  the same mistakes. Avery gets benched for a stupid penalty (which he does quite often) but a Drury or Prospel will not get benched for the exact dumb penalty.

Should Shonefeld get a shot.........should we bring up more of the coaches from the Wolfpack?

Most of our younger players are not getting better under our current coach, so........let's hear it, should Tort's stay or go?

Rangers do not have a lot of cash to spend this summer, but one guy I would like to see on the team is Chicago's John Madden.

Yeah....he was a Devil and No he is NOT a Bobby Holik....(over paid, limited talant and no output)

Madden has heart and plays all out every shift and he could teach our young talent a lot more than Drury seems to be doing.

Not sure how much a Madden goes for, but Chicago can not afford him and he may be a steal.

Last thing I would want to see this summer is a big money, long term contract for an average player.....and looking back at Sather's track record, let's keep it simple.....short term deals, moderate salaries and more bang for the buck......

Looks like the NHL has the fix in for the Flyers.

Just as the refs did last year for Pittsburgh, this year the Flyers are getting all the calls.

Chicago is getting robbed and Philly can do no wrong.

At last count, towards the end of game Four, Chicago had seven calls against them, Philly had Two.

It was hard enough watching Crosby take the Cup last year, but to have the Flyer's handed the Cup is pathetic at best.....who wants to watch a fixed series?

The NHL looks more like the WWF wrestling than a sport league.

Trust me, I have no love for either team, but as a hockey fan, garbage like this just makes me reach for the remote.

Lose game 7 of the finals against the Rangers in 94' and they tear apart downtown Vancouver.

Montreal fans booing the National Anthem last year in the playoffs against the Bruins.

And now, last night, after WINNING...the idiots fans riot in Montreal.

No matter who wins in the Philly/Boston series....they will be my pick to send the Canadiens home again (it would be hard routing for the Flyers, but I would hate to see the morons in Montreal get the Cup.

So, we all know that Glen Sather is pathetic as a New York Rangers GM.

Sad part is Don Maloney....old #12 is a finalist for GM of the year.

Sather has destroyed this great franchise with reckless free agent signings that have crippled this team for years to come, yet he still has a job.

This collection of players is not a team....just a bunch of over paid, underachieving no self respect losers.

We have to stop talking about the playoffs.....it is a pipe dream to make the playoffs, and even if this collection of players (I refuse to call them a team) win every remaining game, they would have been swept in the first round of the playoffs.

How do you have a losing record at HOME?

How do you not finish checks or even NOT show up for weeks on end? (This goes for almost every player......)

How do you do cash those million dollar checks and sleep at night?

There are maybe Six players worth saving for next year.....as for the rest....waivers.

Time to start completly from scratch, and this includes the GM (Sather is horrible) and Torts (the players have no respect or even fear of him anymore)

Time to come up with a new Five year plan......this will be our FOURTH Five year plan since the 1994 season.

This team is beyond pathetic.

No scoring, no heart or passion for the game.

We have a Captain that is a Fourth line player and stars on the penalty kill, shows NO emotion on or off the ice and gets paid 7 Million a year.......not quite cut from the Mark Messier Captain handbook.

How can a professional team LOSE at home? We get the last line change, face off advantage and the best fans inthe world behind the team, and game in and game out, this team stinks up Midtown NYC.

With player like Boyle, Prust, Drury, Reddon, Voros, Anisimvo, Rozival, Shelley (did anyone catch this idiot getting creamed at center ice by Kariya, go for a bad line change and let Kariya skate all alone down the slot to score his 400th goal?)

Who are we kidding talking about the playoffs...this team is closer to being a lottery team than a playoff team

Looking at the standings it is painfully clear why the Rangers are still on the outside looking in regarding the playoffs.

The Rangers are the ONLY team within striking distance of making the playoffs with a losing record at Home.

Every player and all the Coach's on this team should be embarrassed.

If a team can not win at Home, with the last line change, the face off advantage and the crowd behind the team, the team does not deserve or belong in the playoffs.

Tired of watching this team get pushed around in our own building....time to start pushing back....time to get nasty.

If not, the players can start reserving the tee off times for Mid April

Lets stop this insane belief that a few over priced, potential free agents could be Rangers at the trade deadline.

Our GM....Glen Sather is the biggest idiot in NY. Just look at the Drury, Reddon, Rozival, Gomez, Higgins, Kotilek and that is onloy the bad moves the past few years from Sather.

Lets bring the kids up from Hartford...at least they try....the way the Rangers are playing, they should be right there for the draft lottery.

I have seen some bad NYR teams over the past 40 years, but this one has no heart, no soul, no self respect.

The NHL Center Ice package on Directv is pathetic.

For those Ranger fans living outside of NYC, Center Ice blacks out MSG HD as soon as the game starts.

This happens for all Ranger, Devil, Islander and Sabre games.

Directv blames the NHL, the NHL blames MSG Network and MSG Network will not respond to our inquires.

Trying to watch a hockey game in standard definition on a big screen TV is horrible.

No HD for Ranger games and no Versus at all on Directv = this customer dropping Directv.

Once again the NHL runs it's business like a bunch of idiots without a clue.
