I heard a rumor that Biron broke his collar bone in practice today and is out for the season.  Good or bad for the Rangers???

I think this could be a good thing.  Henrik seems to perform his best when given maximum time in net.  Is it a coincidence he's looked a little "soft" this season?  This is the first season he's had a quality back-up to reduce his minutes.  I'd like to see Tort's ride this horse all the way to the finish line.

Brendan Shanahan left the NJ Devils despite his $1mil 1 year contract.  According to NHL.com the development of Bergfors and Halischuck and the signings of Niedermeyer and Pikkarainen bumped him to 4th line duty at best, a role he did not feel comfortable with.  He has chosen to take a few weeks to reevaluate his options before making a decision about the status of his career.  Hopefully this is not the end, Shanny is one of the best to ever play the game.

I'm shocked no one commented on Burnside's Power Rankings...  NYR ranked #22 overall and out of playoff contention???  The quote is "There is something not quite right with the Rangers." and I have to agree.  I've questioned the ability of the blueline(as have most of us), and I've also questioned the defensive responsibility of the forwards.  I'm afraid we're going to see The King's GAA go up and his save percentage remain in the low 2's.  I just hope I'm wrong.
