Setup Trailer (Video) 50 Cent & Bruce Willis... Randy Couture is in the movie, but not the Trailer
Randy Couture is not in this trailer, but I thought you guys may want to check this out. It has Oscar written all over it.
Recently, Randy Couture spoke of the possibility that he may be readying to hang up his MMA gloves for his newfound career- acting. Well, guess what? It looks like Couture wasn't just whistling dixie, as he recently signed up for a role in the action film "Setup".
Bruce Willis and 50 Cent will also star in the flick, that will apparently mandate Couture start work in December and continue until early 2011. He will play a gangster named Pete.-About.com
Rumor: Cris Cyborg considering a WWE contract?
Tatame.com is reporting the Strikeforce Women's middleweight champion has been offered a deal from the "Dub-ya, Dub-ya E" and is apparently actually contemplating the offer.
Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos is negotiating with world’s biggest pro-wrestling company, WWE, sources close to the fighter told TATAME... Without fighting since June of 2010, Cyborg is getting tired of the lack of fights in the MMA organization, and this proposal would change her future in fighting – and get bigger paychecks. Two weeks ago, Cristiane and her husband, Strikeforce fighter Evangelista Santos, attended to a WWE event in California, and the managers of the event offered her a contract.
Intriguing at the least, but is this actually a possibility?
"Cyborg" has been out of action since June 2010, when she absolutely dismantled Jan Finney at Strikeforce: "Fedor vs. Werdum" to defend her title.
The San Jose boys have struggled to find her fights in the meanwhile, as no clear cut number one contender has emerged. So is she really considering defecting to the world of sports entertainment?
Not so fast, wrasslin' fans.
Is Dan Henderson vs Fedor Emelianenko the best option for Strikeforce?
Fedor Emelianenko's recent back-to-back losses to Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Silva have lead to speculation as to whether the former PRIDE kingpin should retire, continue competing at heavyweight, or drop down to the light heavyweight division.
If Fedor chooses to drop down, why not give him a fight against Dan Henderson, who pasted "Feijao" Cavalcante last night (March 5) to become the new light heavyweight champion?
After all, when "Hendo" first signed with Strikeforce, the one name he dropped as a guy he would love to fight was "The Last Emperor" himself. That's what he told MMAFighting.com:
"I would love to have that chance to fight Fedor. I think that would be the ultimate challenge, and that's what excites me."
Now, obviously, a lot has happened since then. Both Emelianenko and Henderson have fought multiple times, to a combined record of 3-3. Not exactly lighting the Strikeforce world on fire.
But it's perhaps because of that, that pairing the two against each other makes sense.
Consider this: Fedor is currently in limbo, most likely waiting for the loser of the Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum grand prix tournament quarterfinal on June 18. That's quite a ways off.
Henderson, who stated he would like to fight before June or July, is also in a bit of a holding pattern, as there is no clear cut challenger to his light heavyweight crown.
What to do, what to do.

You can now add the Strikeforce light heavyweight title to Dan Henderson's impressive career trophy case.
Last night in Columbus, Ohio, Henderson knocked out former champion Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante with a kick, over-hand right combination. "Feijao" was caught off balance when hit with the punch and, as you can see in the GIF above, ate some canvas on the way down.
"Feijao," however, almost caught Henderson with an overhand right of his own. Check out that GIF after the jump:
TUF 13 Finale: Josh Grispi vs George Roop in the works
via MMAJunkie.com
The Ultimate Fighter season 13 finale, which is rumored to be taking place on June 4, in Las Vegas, Nevada is still more then three months away. The UFC has not officially announced the show's finale date, but bout rumors are already beginning to surface.
According to the BostonHerald.com, a bout between featherweight fighters Josh Grispi and George Roop is in the works for the "Lesnar vs Dos Santos" finale.
Josh Grispi (14-2) managed to go undefeated while fighting for the WEC, going 4-0 against solid competition and earning a title shot against 135 pound champion Jose Aldo at UFC 125. Unfortunately for Grispi, Aldo was sidelined with a neck injury and forced out of the title bout. Grispi ended up fighting Dustin Poirier in his UFC debut and dropped a one-sided decision to the underdog. The loss snapped Grispi's ten-fight winning streak and killed his chances of a shot at Aldo's title for the foreseeable future.
George Roop (11-7) managed to pick up a lot of momentum in his last bout for the WEC by knocking out "The Korean Zombie" Chang Sung Jung with a vicious head kick, which earned him a second shot at a UFC roster spot. Roop attempted to bring his UFC record to the 500. mark at the second Fight for the Troops event after going 1-2 in his initial tour with the UFC, but Mark Hominick quickly ended those hopes in the first round of their bout. Roop ate several unanswered punches from Hominick and was stopped in less then 90 seconds via TKO.
Josh Barnett does not want Fedor Emelianenko to retire, comforts the Last Emperor after loss to Silva

Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett talks to TheGarv.com about Fedor Emelianenko's possible retirement after his second consecutive loss under the StrikeForce banner.
"He's a good friend of mine and no one wants to see their friends lose... Everybody has to do what they have to do. If I had anything to say about it I wouldn't want him to, but it's not my decision. I believe he will do what's best for him and even if he did he's got nothing to be ashamed about or disappointed. He's amazing."
Barnett also talked about his upcoming bout against Brett "The Grim" Rogers, who he hopes will be at his best for the heavyweight Grand Prix. Barnett says he wants Brett Rogers at 100%...
"No point in walking over some jobber, I want to go through good guys."
UFC Quick Quote: Anthony Johnson promises a 'devastating' knockout against Josh Koscheck
"I'm going to knock him out -- no ifs, and or buts about it. Once he feels my first punch he'll know who he's fighting. I always connect, it could be my first punch. It could be my third punch, but one of the punches are going to connect and somebody is going to feel it and I guarantee it won't be me. I always give it my all every fight and get the knockout sooner or later. I'm going to have a even more devastating knockout with this fight then I did in my last fight. I want to continue my knockout streak and just be the best UFC fighter ever. If I have to keep doing that and knockout people to get that title I'll do it. I got a left fist and a right fist that will knockout anybody, if he wants to test my fist with his face. It will be my pleasure."
-- Anthony Johnson talks about his upcoming fight against Josh Koscheck during a recent video preview for UFC 106, sending a clear message that he is coming for the knockout. This fight will undoubtedly be the toughest test of Johnson's promising career. In fact, he will come in as a slight underdog to the veteran Koscheck, but his size and strength will play a big factor in the fight. Keep in mind that Johnson wrestled in college and it may come in handy against Koscheck, who has perhaps the best takedowns in the welterweight division. Who ya got?
Vitor Belfort confirms he will be fighting at UFC 109, but Anderson Silva may not be his next opponent
via urdirt.com
Update: Sources close to MMAJunkie.com have confirmed that the middleweight title fight is in the works for UFC 109. They are also reporting the bout agreements are in place, but as Belfort reported before the bout is contingent on Anderson Silva's recovery.
It looks like Vitor Belfort is on the fence about his middleweight title shot while Anderson Silva recovers from elbow surgery. A few weeks ago Belfort's fight against the middleweight champion at UFC 108 was cancelled, but no make up date for the fight has been confirmed for the fight.
In a interview with Terra Magazine Belfort confirmed that he will in fact fight on February 6, at UFC 109, but Anderson Silva is not guaranteed to be his opponent.
"I signed to fight in February. They have warned me that I fight in February, stressed Belfort. "Only the doctor who is going to say when Anderson will fight," Belfort said. "I do not know if it will be Anderson. The Ultimate is the one thing that we do not know anything, things are happening without us knowing for sure. "

Tom Atencio: 'Affliction does not intend to rollover and be extorted' by M-1

Last week we posted a story on Fedor Emelianenko's representatives at M-1 Global, filing a lawsuit against Affliction over the cancelation of "Trilogy" this past summer. In the suit, M-1 alleges that Affliction canceled the event, but Brett Rogers was ready, willing and able to fill in for Josh Barnett as a last minute replacement.
MMAPayout.com reports that Affliction filed a motion in civil court to dismiss the lawsuit. Tom Atencio, who served as the face of the promotion, responded to M-1's lawsuit by saying Affliction would not be shaken down by the "Russian visitors:"
"Affliction landed a serious blow to the Fedor and M-1 lawsuit by filing a motion to dismiss in federal court in response to the Russians’ complaint only eight days after being served. . . . The counter by Affliction goes to show Affliction does not intend to rollover and be extorted by the Russian visitors and how frivolous and meritless Affliction considers the allegations of their complaint."

Fedor Emelianenko: 'I still have some gaps in my techniques'

Props: Sherdog.com
Quoteworthy:
"I still have some gaps in my techniques, in my skills, and that’s why my trainers press me hard to work hard and improve. In spite of the fact that they try to work me hard and make my game perfect, I still, in some places, I look a little bit clumsy.... Well, as it happens with me pretty often, I missed the first punch, which really wasn't very painful, but I got cut. But to tell the truth, Brett is a very strong and dangerous opponent, and when I tried to take him down, he was very slippery because he was sweating. I was trying to control the situation. In the course of the fight, I could feel that I had the dominant position, and was in control, and instead Brett was leaving his positions."
Fedor Emelianenko, who is often billed as the most unbeatable mixed martial artist ever, reaffirms fans that he is indeed human and does make mistakes. Brett Rogers proved that (sorta) when he split the Russian's nose wide open with a mean jab early in the first round of their recent fight. In fact, Fedor's last two fights have both gone down the same -- a bit of a struggle in the beginning and then vicious knockouts in the end. Do those early struggles against Arlovski and Rogers give you any cause for concern that Fedor could be defeated? Or do you think he will finish his StrikeForce contract undefeated?
