Biedrins Not a Top 30 Center
While David Lee is 13th. Of course, according to this fool, Bargnani is the 19th best center in the league. I think maybe Biedrins belongs there instead, don't you? Maybe Biedrins will start at center, playing up to where we think he's capable of being, and Lee at PF, if we're lucky.

Hoopsworld discusses the Lakers, Suns, Clippers, Kings and Warriors and their potential for next season.
Coach K Says Curry's On-Ball Defense More Advanced
Bleacherreport tells us that Coach Krzyzewski was impressed with Steph's progress on defense. It also mentions how likely it is that Steph will play for Team USA. I'm especially excited about the defense. A guy that can defend opposing PG's can disrupt an entire opposing offense.
I figure, like last off-season, it's time for rampant gross hyperbole about how good Anthony Randolph will become. I was havin' a little fun creating this image of Anthony "Manhattan Project" Randolph.
Hoops World Asks, "What's Next?"
Just an article discussing the Warriors future, without being as pessimistic about some of our players as I've been feeling.
Warriors South Coaching Change
This has been a long time coming. Dunleavy has stepped down as coach of the Clippers, retaining his role as GM.
A comment someone made reminded me of a strip from garfieldminusgarfield.com. I altered it a bit to make it more GSoM apposite.

Biedrins May Break Record!!
They quote our own Fantasy Junkie, which makes me feel associated with fame. Great stuff! I'm excited! Between Morrow attempting to make history, if he again is the season 3 point champ, and Biedrins potentially missing the most consecutive free throws in NBA history, we've got much to be excited about! Go Biedrins! Seriously, this is pretty funny.

Rosen Impressed by Dubs Victory
The always insightful Charlie Rosen, of Foxsports, says Warriors are golden.
Warriors Chemistry and Leadership
Two nights. Two different Dubs. What happened? The way fans have been talking, it would seem that our best players had all died in a plane crash, and the season was officially over. It was off to a terrible start, for sure. But it's not over.
On paper, we should be a pretty good ball club. Last year, we only had 26 wins but without Monta Ellis and with a myriad of injuries and considering some of the promise we showed, this season should have been, at a minimum, fun. Randolph had turned the corner, and one of our glaring weaknesses was made strong; an up and comer, Anthony Morrow, had left his mark on the league by becoming the three-point champ. This preseason showed even greater promise, despite even Brandan Wright's "broken wing."
Then it all fell apart.
What happened? Lack of direction, lack of focus and lack of caring. We can't discount a lack of camaraderie, either. All of this lead to stupid and selfish play on the part of our adrift Warriors. Last year, a terrible year by all objective measures, we were far better than we have been this year...
These two showed us what they could do, when they have the will and direction.

I hate the nickname, "Broken Wing." Lieutenant Wright, anyone? (Kind of a play off Captain Jack... sort of... and Lieutenant Dan). I was hoping to find one with Forrest offering him ice cream and changing his face to Randolph's, since he's injured, too. ha ha But I couldn't find a good one. I may go back and redo this better, with Randolph as Gump, if I can find the right pic.
Jack Needs a New Nickname
Stephen Jackson has lost the right to be called "Captain Jack." Of course, we at GSoM take our nicknames very seriously. We ought to think about this in a cool and collected fashion and come up with a logical, catchy, inventive and appropriate nickname. Of course, we do this in a Democratic fashion by voting for it, as we always do.
Let us consider some of the most pronounced characteristics of the player formerly known as Captain Jack. Or let's not and just have a bunch of random nicknames and get it over with and vote on them:

What Would the Spurs Do?
This franchise is a loser franchise and has been for fifteen years, largely because they trade the wrong players at the wrong time. Some people are proposing we act rashly, looking only for instant gratification, revenge or making up dream world trades that would never happen. If you want to stop being a loser, start emulating the best.

Monta's Monster Game
I kept telling myself during Monta's absense, "He shot 60% for an entire month, as a high volume shooter. That's better than any guard has ever shot in the history of the NBA." However, as a fan of defense, I couldn't stay excited about him, no matter how many times I told myself that. I have to say, though, I am officially excited about him after last game.
Somehow, Monta looks more handsome than Curry now. What happened? via cdn.bleacherreport.com
Hollinger Projects Wright Prior to Injury
Look at the calibur of player Wright is placed with on this list. We lost an offensive force, at least for now.
Belinelli Starts for Raptors in Preseason
Just thought people would like to see how he does.
Top Ten Centers of the Last Ten Years
Fox Sports tells us who the best of the best are. Who is top, Duncan or Shaq? I think they're right.
Hilarious. Fox Sports FAIL
There is something very wrong with this picture.
Two Points!
There are two things that I got out of reading some of Nellie's recent comments. One of them is that Randolph is good enough to start... at small forward. The other is that Jackson is probably staying.
How could you not love this face?

Power Rankings! Warriors "Dangerous," and, "Must Watch."
It's not as good as it sounds. We're below the Clippers and Rockets.
Coaching Makes a Big Difference...
for the 49ers. I hear Nellie is honest with his team, too. I don't know that he's a Coach Sing, though. This just got me thinking about how much difference a coaching staff makes. Nellie, in my view, makes a huge difference to the team, despite his quirks.
Turiaf and French Deserve 2nd Place...
They were fifth. But here's a picture of Turiaf hugging a big... uh... thing, if that makes ya' feel better! Seriously, they only lost to to Pao Gasol and the Spanish who turned out to be the best this year.
