Per Jeff Howe, Quincy failed to achieve the ACT/SAT score he needed to qualify at Texas. This really hurts DT depth and is a shame for the kid. Good luck Quincy.

Per Gerry & Jeff, Michael Starts will announce his college decision tomorrow at 10am. They both feel that he will pick Tech because they are offering him the opportunity to play defense, but we will know for sure tomorrow.

Various outlets this morning are reporting that Bo Davis (Alabama) will be in Austin this morning to interview for the vacant DT coaching position.

Note: Davis is currently the lead in the recruitment of Rasco for Alabama

Update: Davis has been confirmed to be in Austin by HookEm247. Hopefully the next announcement will be that he has been hired.

Update#2: Bobby Burton is now reporting that Alabama is already looking for a replacement for Davis.

Tevin Mims has reportedly left the football team due to an off the field issue. Recruitocosm is reporting that it is related to grades, but I haven't seen anything firm. Our defensive line depth has taken too many hits recently and is beginning to resemble the TE roster. There are rumors that Texas is pursing Brandon Alexander, a DE from Brenham, but he has not received an offer yet.

Per Gerry Hamilton, Cedric Reed is at the Nebraska-Texas A&M game tonight. No word on whether he is a guest of either team, but his attendance alone is cause for concern. DL is a huge need moving forward and losing him would hurt.

Malcolm finished the night with 217 yards on 21 attempts with TD runs of 15 & 95 yards.

The 15 yard TD run is at the 6 minute mark and the 95 yard run is around the 12 minute mark.

The video is raw and the camera angle is a bit distracting at times, but it works..

Wow not sure what to say other than this sucks. Texas is still listed as one of the schools he is looking at (if that is any consolation).

Gueye was down to Alabama and Texas, but that all ended today when the seven footer committed to the Crimson Tide. Another tough recruiting loss for the basketball program.

Apparently there is an issue with his HS transcript. Hopefully he can get this worked out and get back into school for spring practice next year.

From Gerry Hamilton via twitter: RB Malcolm Brown has committed to the Texas Longhorns per his head coach. He committed to the Texas staff a little over an hour ago.

Per the article, former UTEP power forward Arnett Moultrie has signed a financial aid agreement with MSU. He can apparently still be recruited by other teams not in the SEC, but he apparently has made his decision.

Texas is the #1 seed for the conference tournament and will face Missouri at 12:30 on Wednesday. Complete bracket can be found via the link above.

This is a really interesting turn of events. Hopefully this leads him to get his life back together and get back on the field.
