"We interviewed six people in person, many who will eventually be head coaches in the NFL. They were all outstanding candidates. And with the exception of one, they were all excited about wanting to lead the Miami Dolphins."

Ross, referencing Jeff Fisher

And to say Fisher just hired Brian Schottenheimer as his OC, I'm even more content that we got Philbin. I sure would not want Schottenheimer as my OC.

Coach Fisher was put on a SW flight at 5:15 headed west.

If we get Fisher, Peterson comes with him. If we don't get Fisher, Peterson doesn't come.

Figuring Jeff Fisher hired in STL by Sun/Mon, and Mike Sherman in TB not long after. Romeo promoted in KC, Mularkey or Chudzinski in JAX

Jason La Canfora

That sounds about right

I want RG3, but if we get Flynn via FA I'll be happy. I said it last year that I like and wouldn't mind want and I stand behind my convictions. I think he can be "the guy".

Looking at the draft order and seeing that Barkley is out, I'll just use this quote:

"Boy those wins over Kansas City, Washington, Oakland and Buffalo that were completely meaningless and had absolutely no bearing on whether we made the playoffs this year were totally worth it, right you guys?"

The Phinsider I'm on Board are You?

I have done A LOT of soul searching and have come to a decision. I have fought the feelings of wanting to win every game we can and jumping on the "Suck for Luck" boat. After much, much, MUCH thought and deliberating, I have finally come to the conclusion. Stick with Sparano, stink it up this year and me REALLY SUCK (like we have a choice) and get in position to take the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck.

I love this team, God I love this team. It hurts me to say this and see them play like this, but its for the overall good. Look at the the top QB draftees are doing for their teams lately, Newton, Bradford and such and Luck is a FAR better prospect than any of those guys. Yes, I know there is no guarantee. I get it, but its time.

Its like a gunshot wound. This season is like a shot near the heart. It hurt, d@mn it hurts (never been shot there, but I know it has too-)). Getting us to the hospital and getting that shot out is like getting to the top of the draft and drafting Luck. Next season is like recovery for us (but getting stronger every day) by getting a new coach and watching Luck take his lumps and the excitement of what he is doing. Just like The Rams and Panthers did their 1st year. And most of all (hopefully) HOPE. Hope at the position we haven't had in over a decade. Hope in a QB that could actually take down Brady and the Pats and take back the division that was once ours for decades.

Penny-Pinch this organization like Richardson did the Panthers. Every player that isn't playing with heart and doesn't wanna be here. See ya. You can't cover or catch a INT, F- you. Can't block? F- you too. What you can't tackle or make a simple catch? Follow all the @ss wipes we gave good money to over the past couple years who all of a sudden forgot how to win a game. Don't stop with just Sparano or Ireland. Get rid of every player who quit on my beloved franchise and its beloved fans. Sure the coaches and FO could've done better, but players have been in positions to catch ints and  passes, block and simply didn't do it. They just to come back to the huddle shaking their heads. I want players who are proud of their work and want me to buy their jersey for their play on the field!

I realize I will get pounded it for this for not being a "fan", but in my heart I believe this is the best thing for my beloved franchise that has put a band aid on the most important position on a football team for years.

Go ahead shot me. Kick me in he nuts. Spit in my face. Just give me my Franchise QB and know PAY BACK IS A B*TCH!

PS I'm not saying "roll over and give up and lose every game." Just keep who we got, do nothing and continue to suck like we have the past 7 games. Keep our HC and promote the QB from the practice squad and go with it.

Ross "As long as the players believe in Tony and are playing hard for Tony we are gonna stay the course. I believe Tony is still the right coach for the job."

He is as clueless about reading a team as he was about going to find a new Head Coach. Or maybe, just maybe, he does want us to suck, cut our losses this year and make a splash in the draft. You know, kinda what Richardson did with the Panthers last year. I hope so, because I really don't want to believe he is this moronic.

The Phinsider Just an Observation

Being part of this site for many years this site is not what it once was. It was a close net community with articles being posted by 1-3 main writers with the the people/fans of this site filling in the rest. Now it is quickly becoming a hollow shell of what it once was as it transforms itself (seemingly) into just 'another' site to put out information that most people brushed over before they found this place.

So much information that the site could do without, so many writers, so much of everything all these other sites have that didn't create the following The Phinsider had just by being itself. Now this is not a knock on Mosul, the new writers (what 5 now? Really?), and the job they are doing, it just a observation. I don't know what kinda rules they have Mosul working under and what he is trying to accomplish. It just seems the site is selling its soul and stretching itself thin just to becoming another "main stream" site. I wish it wasn't so, but they say all thing must end.

Again, I'm not saying. I'm just saying.

Peace.

Question...........Why can't the Miami Dolphins pick someone in the 2nd rd thats actually worth a crap, save Merling? And he doesn't play like the high 2nd rd pick he was used on. What is it?

Thought this was a lil amusing. According to this I have a lil bad news, good news, bad news thing for you.

Bad news: We are gonna suck this year and pick 6th.
Good news: We draft our "franchise QB" with our 1st pick.
Bad news: It isn't Luck.

Let me say this. If we are picking 6th, you trade up to the #1 slot and get Luck (providing he continues to improve). Now that the rookie scale is fixed, you gotta go up and get him.

"Gang Green bounces back with Burress." I bout laughed my @ss off when I started reading this and it had lines such as...

"we didn't know if they could take a punch, until now."

"The Jets were embarrassed the other day when they lost Nnamdi Asomugha after asking just about everyone except Joe Namath and Don Maynard to restructure their deals to make Asomugha theirs....the rest of the AFC surely mocking them in private, reveling in their misery, the Jets needed to reestablish their credibility as a preferred destination for the stars."

"Plaxico Burress gives them that credibility at the Giants' expense"

Now they are "As part of the Jets hectic pace on getting Antonio Cromartie under contract, they are calling around on trades to clear cap room.", ~ Clayton as Finhead83 linked below.

I know it is ESPN New York, but It was a story on ESPN's front page. Typical ESPN northern bias damaged control. The NYJ are as much of a "preferred destination for the stars" as anyone else. The Jets FO must had actually bought those lines from players that say they "would love to play for Rex" to heart. How naive. Truth is, they love to play for the money and all those bold moves the Jets made to get those FAs NOW the past couple of years are coming back to bite them in the @ss. It will continue to do so until those dumb f*cks learn know what a salary cap is and how it works.

And I will love every minute of watching those dumb b@stards run around like little ants just trying to make ends meet. I thought that NY media was suppose to be tough of their teams and players. Not on EPSN.

*****We are finished with my hatred of the Jets and EPSN advertisement . Back to your regular scheduled programming*****

For all the B*tching and moaning on here, I'm gonna tip my hat to our FO.

They saw we needed a "alpha WR" they went out and got B-19. They saw we needed speed on offense, they drafted Gates, and signed Bush. They brought in play-makers on defense like Dansby and Burnett. Yes they have made mistakes, but nothing is guaranteed in the NFL.

Our front office sees our needs just like we do and they try to do something about it. We could be stuck with a owner that just doesn't give a f*ck and a FO of Spielman and Whanny. I thank them very much for this.
