Mock Drafting For Talent
My mock draft represents what I would deem a best case scenario, and a very lucky one at that. Some players would fall into our laps due to other teams overestimating character concerns, or just drafting for need and missing on blue chip talents. There are a few guys in my draft who I believe will fall as a consequence of their history (namely Jenkins, Irvin and Jackson), but their talent level alone makes them worth the gamble. This team is certainly not short on RKG's, who can serve as mentors when needed.
Pau Gasol traded (according to Roland Lazenby)
Odds on where he's headed? Rockets, perhaps?
Kevin Durant in a Bulls hat
One can dream.
Dave D'Alessandro: For the Bulls' Luol Deng, basketball is only one piece of life
An interesting Luol Deng story. How has Lu never won a Sportsman of the Year award?
Omer for Courtney Lee?
Apparently, there have been talks. Lee would be nice, but centers with Omer's energy are pretty hard to come by. (via RealGM)
UPDATE (via the Daily Herald)
As I had hoped, this came from Houston, and apparently the Bulls have no desire to trade Asik.
Joe Johnson wants to be a Bull (Tribune)
"All indications are James will make multiple visits once free agency begins July 1. Persistent whispers continue that Hawks All-Star guard Joe Johnson wants to commit to the Bulls early."
Gar better not blow free agency by not having the fortitude to say no.
In other news, listening to Mike & Mike this morning, I heard Chris Bosh use the word "process" twice in one sentence, and other times throughout the interview. Perhaps he's a Bull already?
McNeill sitting out?
Marcus McNeill doesn't seem likely to sign his tender from the Chargers, threatening to sit out the season. I wonder if Jerry could take advantage of this? I'd love to see McNeill at LT, and Free at RT; although it's a bit of a pipedream.
Matt Taibbi's Take on the NFL Draft
A pretty hilarious take on the NFL draft with a couple of rules ( or draft stereotypes ) that seem to be reinforced with each passing year.

High School pitcher out of CA.
Reclamation Project?
Apparently the Raiders are considering waiving Michael Huff. He's had a pretty horrid career so far, but Oakland tends to do that to people. I wonder if he could ever play to his potential elsewhere. He'd be an improvement over Pat Watkins, but I'm sure DeAngelo Smith is likely the backup at FS for now. I wonder how many safeties we carry. Nice to see guys like Smith (CB/S) and Hodge (LB/S) have some versatility.
Tony Gwynn Jr. on the move?
There's speculation that Tony Gwynn Jr. might be traded.
7 Round Mock Draft
Perhaps a bit of wishful thinking that some of these guys will fall to us. I'm sure Jerry will be trading picks and possibly moving up in some cases. I wouldn't mind seeing it play out like this:
51 - Duke Robinson - OG
69 - Phil Loadholt - OT
97 - Dorell Scott - NT
113 - Darcel McBath - FS
148 - Ramses Barden - WR
158 - Dannell Elerbe - ILB
184 - Worrell Williams - ILB
210 - Ray Feinga - OG
*As for a punt returner, I'd just go with someone we already have, or take a flier on a specialist as an UDFA
Eagles fan mourns the loss of Brian Dawkins
Take a look at the web extra video (the guy with the green and silver face paint).. Funny stuff.
