Trades bk could have ready to go when the lockout ends
iv'e seen a couple of posts on here that have said they think billy king could have some trades ready for when the lockout ends. then i saw a post that net income left in response, reading "id be surprised if he didn't". and that led me to start to wonder what trades could he have ready? he has had a lot of time to talk to other owners so anything is possible. so with that here are 5 trades he could possible have ready.
Nets sign and trade The "hump", damion james and our 2012 second round pick to the pacers for danny granger and indiana's 2012 second round pick
The reason we would do this is simple. We would finally be getting that all star wing that we need to go along with dwill and brook lopez. And not only an allstar wing but an allstar sf! we would def be better than the pacers in this scenario so that secound rd pick might be better than the one were giving up.
indiana does this because they need a pf and who better than one who averaged a double double last season? on top of that they would be getting james who could turn out to be a very good defensive player. they also have paul george who would be ready to take grangers place. so all in all it works out for both teams.
Nets trade jordan farmer, johan petro, a sign and traded humphries and houstons 2012 first round pick (lotto protected) to atlanta for josh smith.
my opinion i dont really like smith all that much. hese great at defense but his offensive game is just ugly to me. well either way the nets would be doing this because its one of d12 good friends and he plays defense very well. i see him more as a pf than a sf.
hawks do it because first of all kirk isnt getting any younger and is injury prone (he missed a lot of the postseason) and jeff teague is very inexperienced. so they could use farmars championship experience and hese not to bad at running a team. they also get a big body in petro and everybody knows they need big bodys. and then also a double double guy in the incredible hump. but the most enticing part of this trade for them might be that houston pick because its coming in a stacked draft. this is a good possibility.

Nets trade jordan farmer, jordan williams and 2012 second round pick to memphis for oj mayo and memphis 2012 second round pick
i can def see bk pulling this off. oj was almost traded to the pacers last season for josh mcroberts....really? anyway this would be a way better package than what the pacers were offering. even though memphis had a great postseason they might not need oj as rudy gay is set to return. we could have a rotation of morrow brooks and mayo at the shooting guard spot. and if anything he could always be part of an even bigger deal ;)
memphis would do this because they could use a backup pg and who better than farmer. championship experience and averaged 9.6 points and 5 assists as a backup last season. they also get a big body in jordan williams (im not sure if we can trade rookies right away...dont yell at me) and he could prove to be important if gasol leaves. and swapping picks could help them or us. it could go either way. but a pretty even trade for both teams.

Nets sign and trade kris humphries, houstons 2012 pick and there own 2012 second round pick to the sixers for andre iguodala
the nets do this because, well, besides lebron james, iguodala is one of the best all around players in the nba. teaming him up with dwill and possibly d12 would be amazing. he would do all the little things while still being able to score when he needs to.
i know i know why would they do this? im assuming it would mostly be for cap relief. and yes i know i know, they have elton brand but im on the assumption that they would amnesty brand. so they would need a pf. so not all to sure about this one but if anybody could do it its bk!
Nets trade... WHO CARES AS LONG AS ITS NOT DWILL!!! LOL no but really....
Nets trade brook lopez, kris humphries, marshon brooks, jordan farmer, damion james, houstons 2012 first round pick (lotto protected) and our own 2012 first round pick for dwight howard and hedo turkHOWEVERYOUSPELLIT
Nets do it because.....-_-.....ok fine ill explain....we do it because ITS DWIGHT FREAKING HOWARD! and because pairing him and dwill in bk automatically puts us in the conversation as championship contenders. and there are some of you who think we are giving up to much. well let me tell you something. if you think its to much go and watch them play in orlando while the rest of us watch dwill n howard win championships in bk! holla!
orlando does it because, well, all signs point to him not wanting to be there anymore. he wants to win a championship and be in a bigger market and both of those things will not be accomplished in orlando. he wants to play with dwill and morrow and he likes our new arena in bk. what other signs do you need?! orlando has to trade him! or risk loosing him for nothing.
these are just some trades that billy could have ready to go. some realistic and some others harder to pull off. i just want to see bball again and trade rumors begin! i want dwight and deron in bk! thanks for reading. peace!

Caron butler and David West sound good if healthy.
Ok just hear me out people. If in December I asked you guys if you would take Caron butler and David west at the sf and pf positions to go along with brook lopez and Deron Williams everybody here would take that instantly. Unfortunatly butler has been out since January and west tore his acl so now a majority of people here don't want either. Well what happens if they are both healthy and playing great basketball come nov. (figuring the lockout ends by then)I think we could get them both for about 8 million a year each. That's 16 million of our cap. Now idk the whole situation wit the salary cap for next season nor does anybody else but let's speculate that we have around 18 million. If we can trade petro and sign somebody like kmart I believe we have a chance to make a run in the playoffs.butler is a good offensive player and a very good defensive player and David west is somebody who greatly improved on his defense last season which is part of the reason the hornets started out very good. If healthy we have dwill (our all star point gaurd) morrow( our shooting threat) butler (scorer and defender) David west ( our scoring pf) and brook (our up and coming all star center) I believe our bench of Brooks farmer Martin James and yes MAYBE even(big MAYBE)outlaw would be a very good bench. I believe this could potentially make us contenders if west and butler recover well. What do you guys think?
