I'd do that too. A few drafts have Ehlers in the 5-10 range, but most have him in the 10-25 range.

I'd be willing to roll dice and pull trigger to get #10/Ehlers and Gibson for Bailey and #5/DalColle.

Not bad, especially if Ehlers is still there for the taking at #10.

Yup, Strait's the new Amac.

There's a pretty big difference between #5 and #9 in most drafts.

Absolutely NO

yeah, so dominant they ended up with the fuckin' 5th seed with the best goalie in the league....and a total of 4 pts from entirely missing the playoffs.

Yes, 6 pts better. Flip goalies and Caps are as good if not better.

Thanks

and give us an average goalie and we're likely a 7/8th seed too. :)

Indeed.

It's debatable though.

Totally agree. At some point we have to overpay a couple of our own UFAs so we can incrementally improve as the young guns mature.
Commented on [Bits] Who's going to eat all this chocolate? on Apr 22 2014, 2:13p
and then defined what that was.

or even average salary structure.

Not really, the argument isn't about the Rags sucking. So yes, Strawman alert.

KIngs were a pretty different team IMO.

They've made the conference finals exactly once in 15 years!

I wouldn't mind sucking like them too actually, I just don't think they've done anything remotely special with having the money to burn like they do.
Commented on [Bits] Who's going to eat all this chocolate? on Apr 22 2014, 1:43p - 1 reply
And the Isles would have been doing the same if they had that money to burn.

Yup, it's sort of an example of grass is greener on the other side.

For a team that has the cash they have, they've seriously contended once in like last 15+ years.

and still have sucked but one year really.

I agree, but I'd keep Nielsen on the PP as well. He's too there to not play on at least PP2.
