Rondo withdraws from Team USA
Rajon Rondo according to ESPN has asked to be left off the final roster. What does everyone think, does this fuel the fire from Chicago who have been saying that Rose is the better PG? Does this make Rajon more motivated for the upcoming season? Did he spend enough time with the team to gain valuable experience? Here is an article I wrote on the subject

Predictions for Tonight?
What are you all predicting for tonights game....I was pretty confident going into game 1, I felt we have always matched up against them and we do, but that blown lead has left me with those butterflies in my stomach about this game. My heart tells me they will hold the lead tonight by my heads telling me they wont.....I'll go with the heart
Pierce for 22
KG for 16
Perk for 6
Rondo for 12
Ray for 24
Lets hope guys....we need this one
Don't forget how good this felt.....

Remember watching this , you know you did, I certainly do. Remember how good it felt seeing this, and what a great moment it was. Remember the hope we had, the unity as fans. Remember Game 7 of the Finals, the Jump Ball tip against Cleveland....remember the most memorable series against Chicago last year, the duel between Ray Allen and Ben Gordon in Game 2....remember a time when Rondo was our weakest link in the playoffs. Remember Big Babys game winner in Orlando. Remember getting pumped up after seeing the intro videos once the playoffs started and the fireworks went off
And most of all, Remember when our team and fans were hungry
Remember how good this all felt and lets band together as fans for what could be this one last playoff push with this group. Lets get behind our team and let them hear us at Game 1. Lets make the Garden rock this weekend guys! And most of all, whether you believe in this team or not right now lets get behind them regardless of how you feel about them right now and push for one more title.....Its playoff time guys PLAYOFFS!!!
Its amazing
Now that the celts are playing their best ball of the season nobody is posting on here whats wrong with all the people who were slamming the team...can only call them out when they are bad but cant give credit when they are showing some really impressive stuff like their defense in this stretch? How well the big 3 looks? How about how this team's chemistry no longer seems to be an issue? Come on guys its almost PLAYOFF TIME!!!!!
More of the same...
We as Celtic fans were strung along all through the trade deadline that this team would make the changes it needed to, and now it is painfully obvious that nothing has changed . Fact is, looking at Ray's contract, unless he A. Resigns here or B. we win it all this year Danny Ainge has to take alot of heat for screwing up trading him away for a young player. We arent going to get much cap space if he walks, if any , to sign anything that will help this team.
KG needs to sit....for a while, he is not well, AT ALL, if you gave me the choice to sit him until the last week of the season, and it gave me a 10% better chance that his knee would be better, I'd take it at this point. By keeping him playing we are destined to run into the same issue we hit last season, and that is going through the playoffs without him or one of our Big 3.
Robinson hasn't impressed me , still liked what House brought to this team. Crowd just seemed dead, House dropping a three was always a spark for the crowd which made the Garden a tough place to play. I dont see Robinson as a 3pt threat, and it was obvious tonight in a few situations his height is a major downside.
Why did we shy away from the gameplan we had in the 1st. Rondo was unstoppable when he drove to the lane, and then all the sudden we are having him take threes in the 4th? You gotta be kidding me!
When Ray Allen gets cold, it will be safe to say this team has no legitimate 3pt threat, and can any of you name the last time a team has won the Finals without a legitimate 3pt threat? I cant
What has happened to Perkins these last few months? He is falling off a cliff fast...could he potentially be used as trade bait this off season? If so we have to hope that he turns it on so he is at max value to us. I really see that as the only way this team can aquire a young shooter to fill in if Ray walks.
Why does everyone insist on trading Eddie and what happened to Ty Lue
Besides the fact that the guy is my favorite Celtic, hands down the guy is really essential to what this team is trying to do. If you watched games last year teams really played him hard to prevent the three threat that he presents. I'm tired of seeing people on HIS case hes a shooter, every team needs a shooter he goes out and does his job and anything extra is a plus, but not expected. Rasheed on the other hand, is a big guy who can shoot....he is expected as the 6th man to defend, go down on the post, get rebounds and play his arse off.... has HE done that? No
How about "uno uno" or the "eleventh hour" or whatever that crap is. The guy is undersized at his position, a ok inside shooter w/ traffic, an average outside shot, a minus rebounder and shot blocker. But everyone wants to keep him aroudnd because they all remember him making one shot in the playoffs last year.
Or how about Tony Allen, we can all agree his value now is at its highest its been all season. We all know this guys deal, he's a turnover machine on offense but can defend really well. But he's untradeable to you all because of what hes done the last 3 games. You wont trade a guy whos brought in just to defend but have no qualms about trading away a very good shooter and energy source off the bench. Why not trade TA if you all insist on making a trade we all know his value isnt going to go much higher than what its at, and reality will set in on what he really is sooner or later and we will be SOL and stuck with the guy.
Also what happened to Ty Lue...thought the hype on signing the guy as a front office guy was he was going to practice with the team and play when we needed him....think we might need him yet?
If we can only imagine for a minute....
In the Summer of 07, if the ping pong ball had given us the 2nd or 1st pick in the draft. Here is what your team likely would have looked like
Regardless of getting the 1 or 2, the Celtics would have drafted Kevin Durant, as everyone was high on Oden at the time and the Celtics were the only top end of the draft team that said they would have taken Durant. Al Jefferson would have never been traded for KG , nor would Delonte West. Just a rough image of what we would have looked like
PF. Al Jefferson
SF/SG Kevin Durant
SF/SG Paul Pierce
PG- Rajon Rondo
Bench- BBD, Powe, House, Scal, Gomes , Gerald Green, and Telfair?
Look at that roster then and your mildly excited
Look at it today and you see 3? 4? Championships the least?
If only....
Sick of Rasheed
Is it just me or are any of you sick of Rasheeds deal....I've never seen a guy miss SO many open threes in a season, the guy is a flat out momentum killer. Between that, the T's and the horrible defensive plays he has been making of late I am really tired of this guy, he is my Laurence Maroney on this team, as well as Big 11 Davis. If this team loses to the Lakers on Sunday some heads better roll. I want more Eddie House if we need a three point shooter.....if Eddie had taken that shot last night he would have at least hit rim!!!
