Play time is over now its time to get dow to business.
In this past week we have seen 3 players leave and one player come. We have also seen a handful of draft picks come our way. When Gocong left we replaced him with Hall and McNabb is obviously Kolb but the bigger question is what about our defensive backs, or our defense in general.
I'm Hurt but you guys got what you deserved.
It killed me to see Dawkins go and wen they let Westbrook go I died a little bit again, but to see McNabb leave I've always knew it would leave me speechless. I never wanted him gone and according to Andy Reid neither did he. And while I am devastated to see McNabb traded to the Redskins I do see how this could of happened.
The McNabb Reid combo has brought the Eagles from THE WORST TEAM in the NFL to one of the best and most revered for the past decade. Andy Reid has stood by McNabb every step of the way and despite all the pressure he never wanted to let him go..... well he did. He never wanted to but Banner did and the fans did and the media did and all you guys who have been calling for him to go did. You may claim you have supported him but not once since starting to read and post on this site over 3 years ago have I seen support for McNabb. McNabb could have went anywhere there were many teams that wanted him but with one clean swoop Andy said a BIG F YOU to all you guys who wanted him gone. And in return we get and unproven QB and a chance to get our asses handed to us twice a year and I and Andy Reid Laugh our asses off at all you hypocrites who have claimed to support McNabb but only did when the band wagon went in that direction. To every ass hole out there who wanted him gone and said Kolb is our future with only 2 games in him well I say F YOU TOO. While it kills me to see McNabb gone and it hurts me even more to see him go to the skins it also turned me a little cynical and I am glad to see him be able to prosper at the expense of all you f-ing morons who wanted him to go.
So to Recap.
F you fans
F you Banner
F you FO
and
good for you Andy Reid for shoving what everyone wanted back in their faces.
Dump trucks Filled....
I am a huge Dan Snider fan!!!!
To throw around money like he does it takes alot of you know what. (plus he just destorys his team the more he tries.)
Now with the recent news that he just drove a dump truck filled with $100 bills over to Mike Shanahans to hire their new head coach i figured we all can have fun making a list of who he bought and has yet to see any return on his investment.
Week 17 + Wildcard = Same?
I know its early yet but at the rate things are going right now there is a very good chance that not only will we be playing the Cowboys in Dallas on week 17 but both us and the Cowboys will be flying back up to Philly for the wildcard game.
Pair this up with the fact that the same two weeks there is just as good of a chance that Green Bay will at Arizona and then have the luxury to be playing in Arizon again in the wildcard game.
A few more thoughts on this is that our week 17 game could decide if and where we play Dallas in the wildcard. i dont see us playing backups at this point but in the same token i dont see us showing our entire game scheme if we would be playing dallas the very next week.
It all should be fun.
To recap:
Week 17:
Philly at Dallas
Green Bay at Arizona
Wildcard:
Dallas at Philly
Green Bay at Arizona
Edwards Traded!
Ok as some of you may remember i brought up an unpopular Edwards trade. Well many of you may be happy to know i was wrong. Braylon Edwards was traded to the Jets.
You be Cleveland
You lost 3 staight games, Brady Quinn is horrible and when you decide to put Anderson in he still throws 3 INTs in less than a half. For the last 2 years you could not have good play from your QBs. Eric Mangini is on the hot seat already and you are the worse team in the NFL yes even behind the Lions.
Than you get a trade offer. Andy Raid calls you up and offers you a 3rd year QB who started 2 games this year and had over 300 yards passing each game. Along with That young QB you get a receiver who cought over 1000 yards 2 years ago and can stretch the field. All you have to give up is One player who doesn't even want to be on that team. This will gibe you a 3rd QB option who will most likely start for you. it will also bring a solid receiver plus get rid of a BIG headache.
Do 2 Kevins = 1 Braylon

Vick #7, Garcia #?
I dont know if you guys were as curios as I was but i was wondering what number Garcia would be wearing since Vic has 7.
well after hours of research and digging I got the inside scoop that he will be wearing #9
McNabb And this Weeks Game
OK so we all know about the injury this weekend and the unpunished late hit. We all know that the "cracked" rib is now "fully Broken." This could be good because as Big Red said, you dont want to injure something worse and with this injury it cant get worse "that suckers broken." this means that if McNabb plays he cant get injured more. so it comes down to how well he can play with the injury and how well we can protect him.
WE JUST GOT JIPPED ON ESPN TOP PLAYS.
This game was full of great plays..... Sheldon Brown's first pick, Trent Cole lining up at Middle line backer
DeSeans punt return. Not one make it. however multiple plays from the giants game

Position Battles
Hi to all those who remember me from way back when this site used to be all of 25 people. I'm glad to see the site grow so much.
Lets Get down to business. here is the list of the current position battles.
Offense;
the 2nd RB spot. With Westbrook out we have had alot of time to look at Booker and McCoy
The 2nd/3rd/4th Receiver spot. We can assume Jackson is our #1 and probably Curtis is the 2 but there we can still see a surprise. but where does Avant and Maclin fall.
Tight End. we seen to be going with Celic but who is #2 and i dont trust Celic to be a true #1 until he has good competition. Ingram is gone for the season so whats next?
Finally who is our go-to guy for a back up O-lineman. we know all the starters but what if one goes down and we know all about Andrews health. it seems like Justice is stepping up but how far?
Defense;
2nd D-End. who is famous rotation guy. who are we subbing in to give Cole and Parker a break. Abiamiri did amazing last year but is missing camp again. We also must not forget about Clemons improvement at the end of last year. and the we also have Howard who has been good as well.
Back up Linebackers. at the start of the season i was excited about our status at the LB position however after Bradley went down all of the sudden i dont know who is next after Gaither.
Safeties..... Quintin Mikell is with out a doubt one of our safeties. at the eagles site he is listed at an Unofficial Strong safety and madden has him as our free safety but either way hi is playing on our starting D. now with Sean Jones and Quintin Demps who fills the other spot.
We do not need a blocking TE
Right now the way this team is set up we simply do not need a blocking TE. the best fit for this team is a TE that will cause match up problems like Witten does at Dallas and that is Ingram.
Right now with our offense we have:
Westbrook who needs a CB to cover him
Jackson who needs a corner to cover him
Maclin who is fast enough to where they need a corner to cover him
Curtis causes match up problems with safeties due to his speed
from there you add in what we hope McCoy could do and the mis matches he brings (and hope he does better at that than booker did)
all we need than is Ingram to distract a baker or two and split the field and be yet another weapon out there.
Now we look at the running game. well with so much speed on the field for us we most likely will see alot of nickel which means 6 men in the box instead of 7 plus Shawn Andrews back and the addition of Peters and Stacy. Lets be hounest if you dont practice run blocking you get worse and by the looks of our play calling Big John and Tra Thomas didn't do much of that. Now you add in something we didnt have all last year in Weaver and then you take Ingram who has the size and strength and pair him up with what people say is one of the best O-line coaches in football.
all in all this draft has brought the Offense Andy Reid has always wanted. We can now spreed the field, open up the Defence and exploit that with the run game.
This could be fun??????
ok so i was thinking if BGN was a team who would play what positions? so here is a few people i thought up their respective positions.
NFL Sirius Mov'in the chains, in their mock draft said the eagles will take Nicks at the 21st pick
NFL Sirius Mov'in the chains
ok Now lets pay respect
ok last week i went on a rant about the newbs who just write and never learn. i was so aggravated at the wast of posts that were done and how so much garbage was ruining the site that all us vets have learned to love. well this is a little different.
As i was reading yet an other useless post(probably the most useless) and then say that it was that persons first mark ever on this site (1 post and 0 comments) i came to thinking lets pay respect to all the Newbs who are improving this site. one person i noticed was Pooch900 who has yet made a post but has nearly 100 comments.
so here is a list of all the rookies who deserves my respect:
Pooch900
MRPH
Badd
Andyreidswaistline
Bye, Dawk
So vets lets hear the names of the BGN draft class of 2009
Irony = The one team that actually wanted TO is one of the teams that have to face Lito Shepard twice a year.
This is good news for the eagles since now there is a better chance of Litos Value going back up and us getting that 2nd next year
A Few things That has been bothering me
Ok I have been quite over the past couple days. The Dawkins thing took a lot out of me (plus im in the middle of a campaign).
The First Thing is That we did not loose our two starting tackles. Remind me again who did Runyon sign with. oh yeah thats right NO ONE. No one is going to sign someone who is going through the sergury that he is except the team hi was on. the is no market out there for a 35 year old tackle who is undergoing major surgery
Whats going to happen is we are going to draft a tackle in the first round and resign Runyon to a small contract.
Second thing is to all those people who say we are not going to trade for Boldin. Well you may be right but consider this. he does not want to be there right now unless he get his deserved contract (which they cant afford) and if they dont give it to him he will leave as soon as he becomes a FA. No team could be spending 35 to 40 Million on 3 players on the same side of the ball.(warner fitz and boldin) and yes next year is an uncapped year but that doesnt mean Jack. yes it have an impact on large market teams like the entire NFC East but a lower tear team who neveer could fill a stadium like the cards, this could actualy hurt them because other teams could just over bid the cards without hesitation. so why dont they just trade Boldin to the highest bidder so they can get good young talent.
like i said it could happen that they keep him but when you put into account that he WILL be gone and in an era where there could be no salary cap they need to learn to get and groom young talent. and # picks will help
OK Now What?
Dawkins is gone and its the saddest day in Eagles History with out a doubt, but lets get the Front Office to do something.
I"m personly Excited to see what demps could do, he stepped up last at the end and i think he is smart enough to learn as much as he could from Dawkins(like he said). it will be interesting to see how he does.
But with that said we can not have stacy be our big FA acquisition. Lets see a TE, RB, WR or something!
What do you guys feel is next? ether way afeter loosing our hear and soul we MUST see some Action!
New Billboard
With the sad sad SAD news that Dawkins is gone i say we do that billboard but with a slightly modified message.
Dear Eagles,
FIRE BANNER!
He is ruining all that is good with our team.
What do you say?
Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return
Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must return Dawkins must returnDawkins must return Dawkins must return
New BlackBerry Storm Theme
OK OK i know this isnt big eagles news but i have spent about 10 or so hours making an Eagles Theme for the blackberry storm. im still doing so final touches to the theme and am very close to releasing the final product. im not sure if eventualy i will chage for this theme however i am willing to give it to anybody here for free.
I actually have 3 different versions of the theme but i will give out all 3.
that leaves me with 2 questions.
Who wants it?
and i am not liking Horizontal background so can people show me some pictures to use and ill choose the one i like best t release with the theme.
What an A Hole
ok so im going through espn.com and i see that bill simmons has all teams ranked. so i check us out and we are ranked 11th righte behind dallas new england and miani.
but what he said about us is a real kick in the face.
THE FISHERMEN
11. Philadelphia Eagles
Get it? They're holding a fishing pole and trying to reel you in? My latest favorite excuse for Donovan McNabb's resurgence these past few weeks: His wife had a tough pregnancy that was resolved Dec. 4 (healthy twins), and now that his house is back in order, he's back to playing with the same old fire. I have to admit, that's a pretty good one. One catch: How does this explain his unwillingness to scramble until AFTER he got benched in the Baltimore game? If you're battling family problems, it makes you not want to roll out and run for 10 yards on a wide-open field? Beyond that, wouldn't your life become MORE complicated after having twins? Have you or a friend had twins? Remember when Richard Dreyfuss was scuba diving in "Jaws," and he was looking through a hole in a sunken boat and a waterlogged head floated in front of him? The face the waterlogged head had … that's what parents look like after they have twins. For like three years. Anyway, I'm not buying the McNabb twins theory. Sorry.
(Here's the theory I'm buying: The Eagles caught the Cards on a cross-country Thanksgiving trip 96 hours after their previous game, then a rattled Giants team right after Cheddar Plaxgate, then a putrid Browns team on Monday night. Now they're catching the Redskins right as they're quitting on their coach. That's four straight totally explainable wins. Do not get reeled in by Philly for that Week 17 home game against Dallas. I am warning you right now.)
Stew Bradley
I'm just too much of a kid inside i just had to tell someone
This could be interesting
i was looking at our teams cap info and it would be nice to see some of this money come back to us next
Shawn andrews has 150,000 in LTBE and if im looking at it correctly 2,980,000 in base salery and 2,066,667 in Proration. which i am assuming is a game based salery. which them means we get back 1,808,333 at the end of the season since he only played 2 games
this might also be why we might not be playing Reggie brown. he has 2,338,708 in proration and if he doent play the rest of the season we would get back about 1,170,000 since he only played 8 games and only started 1. pluss we can also assume we get his bonuses back since he only has 13 catches for less then 200 yards and that is only 75,000.
that means between the 2 of them we ould have an extra 3 million or so to spend next year on who ever. and to give an idea of what 3 million can buy us here are some players that get paid under 3.5 million on our team.

THIS WAS BIG
this was easly a huge game and the mosdt ideal week for the eagles and us fans but possible the most interesting part of it isnot only are we looking great and ould make it to the playoffs but if we do we know know we can still continue.
in all probablility if we win out we are in the playoffs and thta is possible. we have dallas washinton and cleavland and they all are looking weak right now and romo is a choker.
if we win out and move into the playoffs here is the good news we wil be playing most likely the cards who would be the 3rd seed in the playoffs who we know we can role over and then us being the winning wild ard team will move on to the # 1 team and that will be the giants. does this sound familiar. the cards then the giants.... if tat happens i believe we win them oth and then go on to face either the bucs or the panthers....ouch does that bring back bad memories. te bucs and the panthers... we played them both in the nfc championship.
Our 2009 WR picture
ok so this year has shown us alot. We have seen tha talent of the small but un affraid Jackson. we finaly got the answer to our Tight end Question and th is "we need on." and the 2 big recivers that we got a couple of years ago have stepped up big when needed. and for our 2 staters last year well.... curtis has been injured but has played pretty good and Brown well i guess we can all plug in a given word for him, but the truth is in all probability hey both will be back next year. so what can we expect to change.
there are 2 option either the front office will say we need to get something done and put their balls on the line d go grab a big name FA. or....
we do nothing but get a TE.
lets go through each WR and see what will happen
Jackson ---- he is atleast our #2 next year
Curtis ---- his situation is quite interesting is he can be any spot fronm our #1 t our slot
Brown ---- he is owed way too much money to go anyware so he may be an expensive 4th or 5th
Avant --- is still with us and is now worthy of a full time role
Baskett --- is a FA and probably wont be back since we have avant who is a carbon copy with out the playmate and we need room to bring in either another rookie or a big name FA
and we can assume that LJ is gone too.
who can we bring in in the FA Market?
T.J Houshmandzadeh and Boldin who we all wish for and while alot of people feel we wont go for them we are almost in a do or die situation and have to do the things that the rest of the NFC East is doing to keep up.
there also are quite a few Draft choices who i dont know so ill let you guys do the work on that.
and for a TE well as i said i would like to see Winslow. there is also tony G and many other trade possiblities.
yes its early but why not
ok so we got a steal this offseason when we drafted Desean Jackson in the secon round as the 7th reciver taken, but he isnt going to answer all our problems.
this off-season we need help in 2 areas and that is our run blocking and solid target for McNabb to throw to.
what can we do to get this done... well with 2 1st round picks we can always go online wiyh one but where does that leave the other. how about a trade down... wait no, my brain is working we shal trade up for crabtree. he would deffinitly sacure our WR possition, and can you immaging Desean and crabtree maturing together with curtis in the slot.
here is some other options....
in the free agent martket there is:
Lee Evans
T.J. Houshmandzadeh
Jabar Gaffney
we can also look into trading for a TE:
tony G
or there is also kellen Winslow who is obviously unhappy in Cleveland

momentum and motivation
Everybody he should know I'm a Die heard eagles phan(congrads Phillies) however of lately i have been phrustarted at their lake of motivation. We have seen this on almost every goal line stand and always at some point in the game you see them, not getting tired but looking that motivation.
Now with the Phillies winning it all we can only hope this will motivate our vastly talented phootball team, because if this doesnt give them a kick in their asses we can be in trouble.
This week we have the Seahawks where even I pheel we should blow them away. you look at the gieants win over them and its clear we sould do atleast that. We have a better D-line as of right now, our Line Backers are faster and srtonger and our D-Backs can cover twice the amount of peaple that they can. even our offence is better. Our QB is stronger and more mobile, our running game is better and our recivers are comperable if not just as good. So if the Eagles played with phire in them we could and should win this 62 to nothing, however i see this being more of a 32-17 game.
This team has no motivation and if we cant get momentum or motivation phrom the phillies then we are in deep shit and something needs to change. i cant stand another close game that shouldnt be or letting a team hang in there after a huge lead or seeing our D just loose motivation and let a team drive ninty-phive yards for a TD.
This game sould be a BLOW OUT hands down but im worried not of a loss but of a game we we dont phlex our muscles like we should.
P.S who is everybody going phor this week. Giants or Cowboys
