Blazer's Edge The Blazers are Geniuses

After this year, Portland will be losing Marcus Camby's salary, Gerald Wallace will most likely be gone, Raymond Felton's contract will be up, and Greg Oden will be an unrestricted free agent. Put all of those salaries together and what do you get? A legitimate shot at Dwight Howard and/or CP3 in the off season. While Superman obviously will want to go somewhere with bright lights and stardom, maybe he can be convinced to join up with a good young team with Chris Paul and LMA in order to win a couple championships. Throw in our guys like B. Roy, Wes, Nicolas, and my main man Nolan Smith (who i am expecting to play well) and we could be a legit option for a couple of free agents who wants to play together. CP3 obviously wants New York, but maybe a Deron Williams wanting to get back at his old team for not surrounding him with enough talent? A Deron Williams, Roy, Batum, Aldridge Howard Lineup. That could be an all star team. Here is to dreaming big and hoping anyone would want to come to Portland!

NBA.com launched a poll that asked which team will end up being the number two seed in the west. It asked if Dallas, OKC, or San Antonio will be the number two seed, along with an "other" category? Don't you think that we should deserve some love after getting the 6th seed last year while having over 300 player games missed due to injury, and still pushing the suns to 6? I think we deserve some credit over an OKC or San Antonio. Your thoughts?

Blazer's Edge Best Benches

I cam across this article on NBA.com

http://www.nba.com/2010/news/features/shaun_powell/09/01/NBAs.best.benches/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt1

Shaun Powell has Portland as his third best bench, but for some reason has Nicolas coming of the bench... While he calls him one of the most underrated players in the NBA and as high energy as they come, Nico starts on this team. He also has Joel and Rudy on our bench, and while technically they still are, Joel is going to be MIA for a while and who knows what Rudy does.

What is everyone's thoughts on this ranking and assumption of the benches?
