Come all you Texas rangers, wherever you may be
I'll tell you of some troubles, that happened unto me
My name is nothing extra, so that I will not tell
And here's to all you rangers, I'm sure I wish you well
It was at the age of 16, I joined the jolly band
We marched from San Antonio, unto the Rio Grande
Our captian he informed us, I guess he thought it right
Before we reached the station, we'd surely have to fight
And before we reached the station, our captain gave command
To arms! To arms! he shouted, and by your pony stand
I saw the smoke ascending, it seemed to reach the sky
And then the thought it struck me, my time had come to die
I heard the Indians coming, I heard them give a yell
My feelings at that moment, no human tongue can tell
I saw their glittering lances, their arrows 'round me flew
Then all my strength it left me, and all my courage too
And all of us were wounded, our noble captain slain
The sun was shining sadly, across the bloody plain,
16 as brave a' rangers, as ever rode the west
Were buried by their comrades, with arrows in their chest
And now my song has ended, I guess I've sung enough
The life of any ranger, you see is very tough
And if you have a mother, who don't want you to roam
I advise you, by experience, you'd better stay at home.

Ravens O-line and Effect of Andy Moeller suspension?
Ravens OL Coach Andy Moller is out for the first 2 games of this season. He is being punished by the League for his conduct last Spring in a DUI related incident. At the same time, the Ravens OL has been hastily thrown together with no games together as a unit. Former Sumo wrestler Bryant McKinnie joined the Ravens as their starting LT about 2 weeks ago
This same LT Bryant McKinnie was waived by Minnesota after spending an off-season training for the Casey Hampton look alike contest. The Ravens are desperately hoping that McKinnie has enough stamina to horse collar James Harrison all day. Incidentally, McKinnies' place on the Vikes was taken by the not-immortal Charlie Johnson. McKinnie meanwhile is backed up by Mark LeVoir, who looks like Kris Farris with less athleticism.
Injury Report
Steelers fans couldn't be happy when they saw LT Jonathan Scott and 2nd rounder Marcus Gilbert (playing as the top backup LT in this game) leave with apparent knee injuries. In his post-game press conference, Mike Tomlin reported that both Scott and Gilbert are going to be OK. Both have hyper-extended knees - painful but not serious. Isaac Redman's ankle was tweaked but he went back in the game and is also OK. Finally, Jerricho Cotchery had minor hamstring tightness. Injuries reports sometimes evolve over time, but it appears that the Steelers dodged a bullet - with no serious injuries in their impressive victory.

Cuts of interest around the league (i.e. A. Q. Shipley)
The Washington Redskins hit the cut-the-ex-Steeler trifecta on cut day, releasing FFWP (formerly fast Willie Parker), FFLF (former fan least favorite Tyrone Carter) and OFFLF (other former fan least favorite, Carey Davis).
