how about a little Oshiomogho Atogwe?
So this caught my attention a little bit this morning, I was reading the tenders on all the restricted free agents and it appears that St. Louis is offering the lowest tender on Atogwe. I don't think it is confirmed yet, they still have until midnight tonight to decide what tender they want to put on him, but if they go with the one that doesn't involve giving up draft picks what does everyone think of him. I personally think he is just about the only player on the Ram defense I would want and I'm really surprised that they would let him potentially walk. He is only 28 and over the last three seasons he has had 15 ints and 9 ff. A lot of people have been talking about Antrel Rolle on here and Atogwe's numbers are way better than his. They are both about the same size and have been in the league the same amount of time. So what do you think Buc'em?

Some thoughts and questions at the WR position
So I’m curious to see what everyone’s thoughts are at the wide receiver position and what you guys think we should do. Bryant is in a contract year and his performance was less than stellar this season. There has been a few fanshots on here talking about him and how he wants more money than the Bucs want to give him. Also I know that Clayton is a fan favorite (totally sarcastic) what do you guys think we should do with him, trade him, cut him, or try and stick with it? While you guys think about those things, here is who could potentially replace them through free agency:
1. Braylon Edwards-NY JETS- I think he and Clayton would make a great duo…lol….very sarcastic.
2. Steve Breaston-AZ CARDS- I’m not sure if he would be productive after leaving AZ or not.
3. Vincent Jackson-SD Chargers- Pretty solid receiver but I doubt SD lets him walk.
4. Malcom Floyd- SD Chargers- Big guy at 6’5 225, I don’t think SD keeps them both.
5. Brandon Marshall-Denver- Pro Bowler/semi-diva, will be the biggest fish on the market.
6. Miles Austin-Cowboys-The youngest of the bunch, but Jerrys' got deep pockets doubt he leaves.
7. Here are the some of the mid level guys that are younger, Davone Bess, Lance Moore, Brad Smith, David Clowney, and Josh Reed.
Now I left out a few people because of the stated direction of the team for going younger so I didn’t include the older guys. I would love to see us land Marshall and Floyd. I think for the amount of money that Bryant is asking for there are better options on the market. I also think trading Clayton would be amazing if anyone actually wanted him. Otherwise cut your losses and move on. Bryant whether it is his fault or not was given this year to prove himself and he had issues. I say let him walk and just make sure you get someone just as good as he was last year or better. You also have the draft to get a young WR to replace Clayton.
ABANDON SHIP?!?!?!?
I’m posting this maybe as a gut check for some people. I don’t really think it is anyone on this site, but it’s something that really bugs me reading other news about the Bucs. I read an article and I usually like to see what peoples thoughts on the article are at the bottom. I suddenly start reading things that I would have expected to see anytime between 1983-1994. Side note look up Tampa Bay Bucs on Wikipedia and that time period says ”the WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE” next to it. The worst team in the league for over 10 years and honestly we were not very good before then either. So what have we done the last 10 years? 5 playoff appearances and 1 Super Bowl win. I will agree there have been some bad years in there, but overall not horrible. You read some of those comments by supposed “Bucs fans” and you would think we were worse than the Lions. So why is there the sudden urge to abandon ship? I totally agree with the direction the team is headed. Gruden never rebuilt he just re-tooled Dungys’ team. Some years it worked and others it didn’t. I don’t agree with the way the management cut just about everyone that was popular, but do you really think we would have been to much better with the 2008 team that ran out of gas at the end of the year? I would give us about 2 more wins maybe 3. So would a 6 win season make everyone feel better? I highly doubt it. At least the Lions fans are loyal; I wish I could say that about most of my team’s fans. If you want to always cheer for a winner every year then go ahead a pick a new team around this time of the year and cheer for them. I heard the Colts and Saints are pretty good this year, take your pick. Otherwise be patient and give people some time to do their jobs. It took Dungy a few years to build a team that was pretty dominant for about 10 years. If you were really fans of this team you would remember that, but then again you probably picked us as your favorite team around this time in 2002. So please do all of us a favor, please pick a new team to half @ss support.
