I was looking at Niner games to buy tickets for the Monday night game when the Steelers are in town and I ran across this on the 49r ticket web site:

*NOTE: Single game and group ticket purchases for games against the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Pittsburgh Steelers will require an equal purchase of any of the following games: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, or Seattle Seahawks. Additionally, group ticket discounts are not offered for games against the Cowboys, Giants, and Steelers. All tickets for these games are sold at the regular single game ticket price.

So, do I go see the Steelers as well as the Steelers West, or should I watch Cleveland and SF? Isn't that totally lame that the once storied 49r's have to pull tricks like this to get people to attend their games?
I was looking at Niner games to buy tickets for the Monday night game when the Steelers are in town and I ran across this on the 49r ticket web site:

Yahoo's bias shows again

Yahoo's bias shows again

I was at Yahoo's NFL page and clicked on the above link. Notice the name they used "ap-steelers-harrisonshits" at the end of the URL. The article is titled "Harrison returns to Steelers after cooling-off day" and yet when you look down the right side of the page, they have links to the Cleveland Browns and Dawgs by Nature; the Miami Dolphins and Phinsider; and finally the New England Patriots and the Pats Pulpit. Where the hell is the link to the Steelers and BTSC? Yahoo's editors clearly hate the Steelers and let this bias show. Where do we complain?

P.S. I wasn't sure if this was a fanshot or a fanpost, but I figured I wouldn't get in trouble posting a fanshot. School me if I'm wrong. :-P

The one thing I always counted on is that the Steelers are a Defensive team first. I'm not sure I can say the same thing this year. Did Ben's early season success result in a change or was there an intent to change the team?

How many time have we all watched the Defense close out games? I don't think I can even count the number of times the opposing offense got the ball with time enough on the clock to win it in, and then I watched the D step up and close the game. That's what made us winners and it defined the Steelers for me. You always here that Defense wins titles. The Offense can win a lot of games, specially early in the season, but at the end of the year with the weather getting colder and with everyone playing for keeps, it seemed the Steelers D was what made the difference. Is this Tomlin, Ben, Arians, or just the normal ebb and flow of a team as things always change? I'm confused.
