This has to Stop...

We have all read the papers, listened to the TV spots, and the idiots who would love nothing better than to see our classly organization fall apart.

Its quite apparent that in regards to Mr. Culter we either;

Sign him to a long term extension as a sign of good faith...

or

Trade him to the place where all talent dies...Detroit. NO WHERE ELSE.

Obviously its clear that each side isn't budging. We need Jay, he needs us, and we hold the cards. He needs to get over it now, stop making this into more than it was, and lets all move on to an off season that I was really looking forward to. Or we let him sit it out and come back when he's ready to act like the leader we all know himn to be.

Any other place than Detroit and Culter wins. It's sad that it has gotten to this, but true.

Northen Bronco...

3 Simple Words - "I've Had It"

As I sit here in utter disbelief, from my home here in Toronto, I gaze helplessly into the black night looking for answers.

It seems only minutes ago that my beloved Denver Broncos, whom I have been a diehard and loyal fan of over 25 years, had a 13-0 lead, the crowd was pumped, Cutler was magic and I could envision sitting all of our ailing pieces, while game planning for our opening round home game...Even my wife, (who is due with our thrid child tomorrrow I might add) who byu her own admission will tell you she was made into a Bronco fan, not born one like myself and many others, walked into the family room, turned to me and said "wow, that's huge" as Cutler bootlegged for the 13 point lead...

Fat chance...

As I have done all season it seems, I sat there, paced..., picked up a football, cheered, booed, laughed, gasped, threw the football, paced even more, started to swear under my breath, crouched on important plays, started to swear out loud...then in utter disgust walked away from the TV...tired. Why you ask? I am tired of riding the emotional rollercoaster called the 2008 season.

Plain and simple, we should not be in this situation and frankly, if not finally, I am ok with saying that we do not deserve to be in the playoffs. We don't. No way, no how. Today was a glearing example of why there needs to be changes - right from the top down.

Forget the fact I know have to watch SD steam roll us in a game that will probably be flexed to Sunday night, or Monday. Lets not kid ourselves guys..The real SD is finally showing up and the clock just struck 12 for the mascarade ball that the Broncos have been attending for the past 16 weeks...

No one...no one in Canada, no one in the Northeast US can claim to despise the Chargers more than myself...Rivers, Merriman, Cromartie, LT...I don't care if I were in a car accident, if one of them came to help me, I would rather take my chances.

What disgusts me are the following;

- did anyone on the SD squad figure they would be here by now? They must all be popping champagne already. I don't blame them. To even make this game mean something says that we have already collapsed and SD has done exactly what they had to all year.

- can someone please tell me why we stopped blitzing? Gee, I know it seemed quite effective in the first quarter and given our defences history of stopping no one, regardless if we blitz or not, then why not put some pressure on a QB who is still woozy from their game in Arizona...

- How bad is our D. So bad that I seriously thought, I mean seriously thought, that if we scored that final TD, Shanny might have tried to go for 2 to win it...

- why did we stop punting the ball deep..in the end it came back to burn us and I'm not sure that we shouldn't have let McElvin try to beat us. Instead we pooched punted it and let them set up at mid-field, or at our 45. Nice call.

- when was the last time our defence produced a turnover, a pick, a fumble recovery, an ignition of the fear nerve in any opposing player. It just painful to watch...a slow, slow death.

- our defence in general. EvenI have to admit that they have made strides to better themselves. But what today shows me is that our defence was terrible, and now is just bad. It needs to be overhauled  (not tweaked or adjusted) and anyone who cannot see this (including Shanny) needs to go. No pressure, no coverage, no stopping the run. If you can't do any one of those things right then it makes for a long night....or afternoon.

Finally, as I have said in an earlier post this season, this team lacks leadership, fire, and desire. It seems to me that they feel they can just come out and teams will rollover for them. Winborn was the only D member today I saw play with some true emotion, some anger, some angst against the Bills. Every team that has been struggling plays us and breaks their slump...its a sad reality.

I honestly don't think I want to watch that SD game next week. I don't want to see the final nail driven into our coffin. We can't beat the Bills after they have lost 7 of their last 8, what makes you think we can beat the Chargers who are now playing at a level where they, us, and much of the NFL world thought they would be as the season started.

We can't, I'm done and quite simply,

I've had it.

Northern Bronco out.
