Hmmm. Well, I'm a Chicago Cubs, Bulls, and Bears fan that's just happend to live in the suburbs of St. Louis in all of 20 years of existance. So, I've kinda learned how to debate without pissing people off over time. My interest in all 4 major sports is rather hgh right now, esspecially Hockey, The one STL team I've always liked is the Blues, though I'll admit I hadn't been that into the sport since my father passed about half a decade ago, but I got to see the Blues shutout of the Kings late in the season, and I was hooked.

Aaaand. That's all I really got. Goodbye!

St. Louis Game Time Should the Blues try to make a play at an RFA?

Should the Blues try to make a play at an RFA?

So, with the excitement over the Blues recent pickups, most people have agreed the Blues free agency and, more than likely, off-season, is over. Most people here agree we have 3 legitimate scoring lines, a very good checking line, and players that can formulate a very solid defensive core. Things are good.

But could they be better?

There still are notable free agents out there. Restricted Free Agents that is. I think you know which one’s I’m talking about. But are they obtainable? Could we put together a package to get their rights? And furthermore, are there still less lofty RFA’s who the Blues could make a play on?

For the record, I am assuming for the purposes of this discussion that all these players would be obtained by trade, and then re-signed.  We still are financially strapped, so I’d have to assume in order to pull of something like this, we would have to give actual contracts back in return, not picks.

St. Louis Game Time Blues Organizational Depth Chart: Defensemen and Goalies.

The Blues franchise depth at D has seemingly been a strength for a long while now. Our plan, post lockout, was get a true franchise defensemen with our lottery pick, and surround him with other young quality defensemen. And we have, just not around the young defensemen we thought we would. Johnson is gone, but, in the immortal words of Diamond Dallas Page, that’s not a bad thing, that’s a good thing! Petro is king, and the Blues still have quality D-Men out the ass.

St. Louis Game Time Blues Organizational Depth Chart: Forwards

So, another season has came and gone, full of highs, lows, shocking trades, and Vancouver blowing it. So, more or less just a regular season I suppose.

So, on the dawning of a new year, I say we take a look at the Blues current crop of players, both on the active roster and youngsters. So, I’m going to go over what I feel like are the Blues most valuable commodities. 20 Forwards, 10 Defensemen, 3 Goalies. Feel free to state your own opinions on who should be higher, lower, not on the list at all, what have you.

St. Louis Game Time Alex Steen: St. Louis Blues 2009-10 MVP.

So, I know we all love our favorite big nosed Steenroller, but I just wanted to basically make it official. Alex Steen is the best player on the St. Louis Blues for the 2009-10 season, and here's why in "random factoid" form.

Blues top 20, according to HF. Don't trust em like our own prospect resource, but still, worth noting I suppose.

St. Louis Game Time Roman Polak: All That is Man.

You know, there was a time a last month when the Blues were in a bad way (Worse then we are now, at least. We aren't exactly out of the woods yet), we were discussing trades, and which players were tradeable. Eventually it got down to Roman Polak as one of the major names (along with Carlo Colaicovo), and while I was against it, I eventually admitted I could understand why he was a solid option.

A month later, I'm starting to believe that trading Roman would be a mistake. A huge huge mistake. Potentially of biblical proportions.

St. Louis Game Time A (Very) Early Preview of the Blues Upcoming Off-Seaosn

Yeah, I'm thinking about this stuff way too early. I'm aware.

I did this writeup last night and posted it on my blog and rapidly realized that I made more errors then anyone should (I blame writing it from 4 to 5 AM, instead of my utter incompetence). So, I revised it, and decided to post it here so people can take an early loo at our situation for next season.

St. Louis Game Time Pro-Orientation Camp Thoughts

I've kinda been waiting for someone to just come out and give their thoughts on the Camp, especially among the ones who were there all 4 days. Guess I'll go ahead and do it.
