No details as to how long the deal is/how much it's worth, but the Denver Nuggets just posted the news in a "Tweet" on their official Twitter accout.

The Nuggets have just re-signed C Johan Petro, who appeared in 27 games (10 starts) for the Nuggets in 2008-09.

That puts the Nuggets roster at 12. I'm assuming we'll add one more wing, then be done.

Yes, he can run, jump and dash to the ball from the weak side to dramatically block shots. And his masquerading as a tall, tattooed fowl is amusing if juvenile. But he can't shoot a lick and, most importantly, is incapable of adequately defending virtually any opponent on a man-to-man basis. What Andersen does is surely crowd-pleasing and can occasionally impact the outcome of a game, but it's mostly phony defense.

The Indiana Pacers have landed their first free agent acquisition of the offseason.

The Pacers agreed to a four-year, $11-million deal with Denver Nuggets free agent guard Dahntay Jones late Wednesday night. The fourth year is a player option.

Nuggets Fan Featured In CBS4 Report Dies

Marvin 'Henchi' Graves Was A Popular Performer

DENVER (CBS4) ― A lifelong entertainer and die hard Denver Nuggets fan featured in a CBS4 report last month has passed away.

Marvin "Henchi" Graves, 64, died on Monday morning in the Denver area. He had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Like the Nuggets did during their excellent season, Graves made some noise in his day as one of two lead singers for the 1970's R&B group the Freddi-Henchi Band.

In the late years of his life in Denver, Graves attended 4 to 5 Nuggets games per season. Last month the Denver Post printed a story about Graves and how he was near death and was hoping for one last chance to see the Nuggets play.

The HospiceCare Center of Boulder and Broomfield counties got several offers, including one from Dan Cook who invited Graves into his suite at the Pepsi Center.

At the game, Graves received autographs from the players and coaches, plus he got to see his team beat the Los Angeles Lakers at home in the Western Conference finals. Graves told CBS4 he had a message for all Nuggets fans: "Keep on rocking."

"Colorado lost a music legend today," his friend and former industry colleague Clifford Johnson wrote to CBS4 in an email.

"He was an amazing person and will be missed by many," friend Les Peterson wrote to CBS4 via email.

The Freddi-Henchi Band started performing in Colorado in 1967 and, after a brief hiatus, returned to the music scene in 1995.

Just a heads up if anybody is interested, Chris Andersen & Dahntay Jones will be on a comedy segment with Jimmy Kimmel on Game Night, Sunday at 7pm ET. Amare Stoudemire & Grant Hill will also be on. It will be nice to see these two one more time on television, Andersen has a funny personality and I'm sure Dahntay will bring something to the table. I wonder if they did the segment with Amare & Hill? I assume it was recorded awhile ago.
