Am I A T.O. Apologist?
For obvious reasons I have paid more notice to the vast media attention surrounding Terrell Owens this year than in any other season. I have come to somewhat believe him when he talks about how his negative image is largely a creation of the media. I'll elaborate after the jump.
Rochesterians (and Buffalonians) should get a kick out of this.
A friend just sent this to me and I had to post it here ASAP. Any native WNYers will laugh at the accent. There are also some Bills/Hot Wings/Buffalo references.
QB Power Rankings (Whole Roster)
Fox Sports ranks the Bills stable of QB's 12th in the league. Not too shaby. If you want a few laughs just scroll through the list and take a look at some of the names listed as 2nd, 3rd or even 4th stringers. There are probably some fans of other teams who are looking at the 12 spot and saying "Gibran who?".
What do you say Rumblers? Do you agree with these rankings?
Is Dick Jauron senile?
"He’s moved well," said Bills head coach Dick Jauron. "I know at least in my case I can say when you come back from an injury it takes a while and it doesn’t take a long while, but you’ve got to get through a number of practices and situations before you’ve got complete confidence again. I think that’s where he is. He’s gaining a lot of confidence." -DJ talking about Alvin Bowen's comeback from injury.
Does it take a while or doesn't it? As a Syracuse Alum I got an eerie feeling that I was reading a quote from Greg Robinson about his former team. I just hope that the Jauron Era Bills don't go the way of the Robinson Era Orange.

As per Tim Graham.
What do you think Rumblers? Do you want the Bills to sign him and is he a good fit in their D?
Bracket Contest?
I am a frequent follow of SB Nation's Bills blog, Buffalo Rumblings. They have created a group on ESPN.com's NCAA Tournament Bracket challenge. (cbssports.com also has a decent bracket manager) I have joined that group but there are a lot of fans of other teams that hang out there. I can't seem to escape those annoying ACC fans. Anyway, I was hoping that perhaps NunesMagician would like to do the same thing. It will be interesting to see a champion bracket that comes from all Cuse fans.

Bills Nation Unite & Mobilize!
I'm sure that many of you saw the Chris Brown blog posting about the San Francisco reporter who needs to be straightened out a little.
Here it is in case you missed it.
I am hereby issuing a challenge to all Rumblers to flood this idiot's inbox. Let's show him just how passionate Bills fans really are. I think it would be hilarious if we could somehow overload the San Francisco Chronicle's e-mail server. Let's make this guy eat his words and issue a public apology.
I invite you all to send a message and then post the contents of your letter here so we can all compare notes and maybe have a few laughs.
2010 FA's = 2009 2nd Day Draft Picks
The signing of T.O. was without question a free-agent "splash" by the Bills front office. However, as I have stated on this board before, the only way in which the Bills will be successful is to build through the draft. Teams such as the Steelers and Patriots consistently find quality players in the later rounds of the draft who provide depth early in their careers as they learn the NFL game and mature into quality starters after a couple of seasons. Using contract details obtained from rotoworld.com I complied a list of players currently on the Bills roster who will become free agents following the 2009 season. I have placed each of these players into one of three categories. The categories are as follows:
He's Actually On The Team? - These are players who are practice squad members, 3rd stringers or are otherwise so invisible that the average fan will have never heard of them and are expendable.
Happy Trails. - These are the players who I feel the Bills should move on without and attempt to use their roster spot for a higher quality player who can contribute more.
Please Sign Him! - These are players whom I believe the front office should attempt to bring back. They could be stars, starters or quality role players/usable depth.
PLAN AHEAD! (Why did I do this and what does it matter?)
If the Bills are going to improve their roster they have to have players ready to step in for less talented players who are cut or not re-signed. Since I can't predict who will be cut I can only look at which contracts are going to expire after this year. One thing that I feel the Bills have done a poor job of in recent years is having the drafted talent already in place when a free agent leaves. By drafting a replacement before a player leaves, his replacement has a chance to learn the system and get accustomed to the NFL game. Very few second day picks are ready to play their first year and having these players in place to learn from their predecessors helps the roster to improve that much quicker.
