Teams should let us win.

Other teams should learn that by beating us, they only make us stronger in the future. Each time we lose, we get another pingpong ball for a high draft pick, or trade using a high draft pick. A short term win this year could equal a Blazer team of Rose, Roy, Web/T.Law, LMA, and Oden next year. So, the other teams should think, "Do we beat them this year for a W in our win columb, or just make them stronger next year?" It's fun to think about how good we will be in the future, these guys are learning so much.

The Blazers can be thought of as "The Giant of Antaeus" from Greek Mythology. He got his power from the Earth. The more you knock him down, the stronger he gets, the harder it is to beat him. The only was Hercules was able to beat him is by lifting him up, and not knocking him down. So, I see this losing streak as, the more we get knocked down, the stronger we will become when we come back at you next year! (Yes I am a homer, and I enjoy drinking the large glasses of cool aid daily!)

This doesn't surprise me. He has always said what is on his mind. Hope Nate can use this as ammo tonight. I guess that I shouldn't take it personal because Sheed is just being Sheed. But I do.

http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080208/SPORTS03/802080386/1051

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Since it is so close to Valentine's Day, I thought some love for the All-Star would be nice. So, here's my idea, lets share all the things that we love about Brandon Roy. I'll get the ball rolling.

He does not make the punk faces after every shot (like A.I.)

He is ALWAYS aware of where his body is on the court (has he ever stepped out of bounds starting a drive?).

-He seems to be a family oriented guy that loves his family.

"New" vs. "Old" NBA

I posted this in the O-Live forum too. However, the way that forum goes, the post will be long gone in minutes (exciting time for us Blazer fans!!!!) Do you think that the results of these finals will have a say in who the Blazers pick? For example, if Cleavland wins, it shows that the "new" NBA is taking over. Then one would think we should take Durrant. If the Spurs win, then that would say that the "old" NBA is still here to stay. Therefore, we should take Oden. (I'm in the Oden camp by the way)
